MILF Hunting in Underworld

Chapter 193: The Air-head Miya

The student's shout drew everyone's attention to Chen Miya, including those who hadn't been focused on her before.

They stared in astonishment as a broom materialized beside her, seemingly out of nowhere.

The broom had two engines attached at the back, resembling those of a plane, and it hovered in the air, circling around Chen Miya. Wasting no time, she swiftly jumped onto the broom. It took her less than two seconds to summon it—one of the remarkable aspects of her unique talent.

"Get set…" Gu Mama called out, nodding in approval once she saw that everyone was prepared. She had been curious about why her granddaughter hadn't moved yet, but now she realized her concern was unnecessary.

'I guess I was worried for nothing,' she thought, smiling before loudly shouting, "Go!"

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Immediately, the sound of swords being unsheathed and an engine roaring filled the air, and the entire race track was engulfed in smoke.

In mere moments, two students had already crossed the finish line, and the rest followed shortly, none taking more than three seconds to complete the race.

Naturally, the first two to finish were Zhang Yufei and Chen Miya.

"Did… did anyone see what just happened?"

A bewildered student in the front row asked, unable to comprehend the speed at which Chen Miya and Zhang Yufei had moved.

She wasn't alone—many of the first-year and even second-year students couldn't follow their movements, with only a few exceptions.

"That was close," a third-year student remarked coldly.

"Are those two really first-years?" another third-year asked with a hint of envy in her voice.

"Now, let's check the replay with the spectrogram,"

Seeing the confusion on their faces, Gu Mama announced, turning towards the large, floating screen.

The spectrogram, which operates using spectral energy, and its functions are similar to a hologram.

Upon hearing this, the students raised their heads to watch as the scene replayed in slow motion.

They saw both Chen Miya and Zhang Yufei reaching the finish line at almost the exact same time.

"Was that a tie?" A student with a muscular build asked with a confused face.

"No, Zhang Yufei won," Another student pointed out, gesturing her finger toward the screen. "Look, Chen Miya didn't touch the finish line!"

Upon hearing this, the red team shouted in a wave of celebration after securing their first win.

"Let's go!"

"We're off to a great start!"

Meanwhile, Gu Mama glanced at Chen Miya, who looked dejected with a sad smile.

She had explained the rules before starting the race.

The first to touch the finish line will be the winner.

'I didn't expect my granddaughter to be such an airhead,' she thought, shaking her head helplessly.

If she is like this, How can she

What can she do if Chen Miya hasn't fully understood the rules?

She was also unlucky. If she was in a later group, she might have noticed this crucial point.

'But that Zhang Yufei, she's clever,' Gu Mama mused.

'She understood the rules perfectly and used a technique that made her victory with ease.'

Zhang Yufei, however, was lost in her own thoughts

"What would you say if I told you that the one with the most potential in this room is my daughter?" These words previously spoken by Yang Chen sounded in her mind.

'So he wasn't exaggerating,'

Zhang Yufei thought, watching Chen Miya walk back to her team, her head lowered in disappointment.

All her life, Zhang Yufei had been told by her family that she was the most talented, and she had believed it after some time.

Yet, for the first time, she felt inferior to someone her age.

Even though she hadn't used her physique during the race, she had given her everything when she performed her sword-sheathing technique.

Despite winning, she couldn't feel happy at all.

'Hmph, so what if she's more talented?' Zhang Yufei scoffed inwardly as she walked towards her team.

'The pride I take in myself doesn't come from talent alone, but from the years of hard work I've put in.'

Her eyes regained their sharpness and confidence as she thought this.

Suddenly, vibrate!

Zhang Yufei felt the sword hanging at her waist vibrate. Before she could examine it closely, the movement stopped.

'Did I imagine that?' Zhang Yufei wondered and stared at her sword with a thoughtful look on her face.

'It must have been my imagination.'

'The sword hasn't responded to me once since it chose me fifteen years ago' She dismissed the sensation and was convinced it was just a trick of her mind.

'Master, this was your plan all along, wasn't it?' Nyx asked, having observed everything.

'What do you mean?' Yang Chen replied, feigning ignorance.

'How did you come up with this plan?' Nyx asked again, seeing through his act.

She was impressed by his plan, to say the least.

She was certain Yang Chen hadn't sensed the sword's vibration, yet he seemed confident that his plan had worked.

By stirring a competitive spirit in Zhang Yufei towards Chen Miya, he motivated her to strive harder, which would accelerate her progress toward awakening the Starry Moon Sword.

There were two requirements to awaken the sword.

First, Zhang Yufei needed to reach the Wraith Adept realm, and second, her sword proficiency had to reach mid-grade (high) or above.

Nyx could tell Zhang Yufei's proficiency was at mid-grade (mid), meaning she could easily break through by cultivating, though improving her sword proficiency would take time.

Encountering a rival at such a time will be a good thing for Zhang Yufei.

'Let's just say I understand the mindset of swordsman' Yang Chen said with a mysterious smile.

'But isn't she a swordswoman?' Nyx said with a chuckle.

As their conversation continued, the event went on, and soon it was Zhu Jia's and Xie Qingyi's turn.

"On your mark…" Gu Mama raised her hand, starting the countdown. "Get set…"

'Spiritual manifestation' As the twins heard her voice, They muttered in their minds.

"Go!" She blew the whistle and brought her hand down.

'Spirit of benevolence!'

'Spirit of asura!'

Unlike Zhu Shenyi's spiritual manifestation, The twins needed only a second.

The racetrack was covered by a bright golden light and black cloud with howling winds.

Two of them turned into beams of light and reached the finish line faster than Chen Miya and Zhang Yufei.

"Who….who reached the finish line first?" Chen Miya asked with an excited face.

"You mean to touch the finish line?" Jin Ruolan teased her with a slight smile on her lips.

"Damn Roulan, you should have reminded me before if you knew about it" Chen Miya took out a huge hammer out of nowhere and was about to hit her.

She seems to be really upset.

"Hey, Hey, Stop!" Seeing this, Jin Ruolan grabbed the hammer and stopped teasing her.

Just then, The replay played out on the huge, floating screen in the air.

As a pretty well-known fact, Light always excels when it comes to speed.

They saw Zhu Jia reaching the finish line before Xie Qingyi and it was a comfortable win.

"Damn it, We lost again" Chen Miya stomped her feet with a frustrated look on her face.

The red team scored 300 points, leaving the blue team with only 240 points.

"Calm down, I will win easily," Jin Ruolan said with a wry smile.

The hundred-meter sprint is a team event.

Winning a single game doesn't make a difference.

Fortunately, Relay, Basketball, and volleyball allow them to largely influence and gain more points.

On the other side, Xie Qingyi stood at the finish line with a gloomy look on her face.

"Sister, You tried your best," Zhu Jia said with a gloating smile. "but you can't beat me when it comes to speed after all"

Veins popped on Xie Qingyi's forehead after hearing her words.

"Did you want to get your ass beat?

She punctuated her words dangerously, clenching her hand into a fist. A dark, ominous aura appeared around her as she took towards Zhu Jia.

"Y-you, Fighting is forbidden!"

"Otherwise, I will fight you right here and now." Zhu Jia's flustered words sounded from afar, and she ran away the moment she sensed danger.

"Heh, Scaredy cat" Xie Qingyi said with a look of disdain and walked away.

After an hour, The sprint came to an end. Jin Ruolan and Fu Ting won easily as they weren't against each other.

The points of the red and blue teams were 760 and 640 respectively. The red team was ahead of the blue team by 120 points.

The next event is the relay. Both teams need to select their four outstanding members.

The red team chose Fu Ting, Zhu Jia, Zhang Yufei, and a third-year student. The blue team chose Jin Ruolan, Xie Qingyi, Chen Miya, and a second-year student who excels in speed thanks to her C-rank lightning talent.

"Which team do you think will win, Principal Chen?"
