Chapter 33
C33 – Spirit Wheel Stage Level Three Heaven
The Earth Devil Tiger hastily retreated, its eyes wide with shock at the sight of the blazing Fire Phoenix. A new kind of fear, one it had never experienced before, flooded its heart in an instant.
“Go.”
Gripping the Chaos Shocking Spear, Zhuang Xing charged at the Earth Devil Tiger. Accompanying his assault was the Fire Phoenix, engulfed in roaring flames. Together, their formidable power obliterated everything in their path.
The Fire Phoenix soared, its immense force slamming into the Earth Devil Tiger with ruthless intensity. The beast let out a pained scream as it was knocked over and slammed to the ground. The fearsome flames spread rapidly in every direction, threatening to incinerate the Earth Devil Tiger completely.
The Earth Devil Tiger’s screams echoed with agony. The might of the Phoenix Fire was overwhelmingly powerful.
Yet, in that critical moment, Zhuang Xing’s Chaos Shocking Spear descended with a vengeance. The mighty weapon, imbued with the power to crush all in its way, plunged down mercilessly.
The Earth Devil Tiger let out another miserable scream as the Chaos Shocking Spear, carrying the force of total annihilation, pierced its abdomen, leaving it utterly defenseless.
“Handled.”
With the Chaos Shocking Spear in hand, a contented smile played on Zhuang Xing’s lips. After a grueling battle, he had finally vanquished the formidable Earth Devil Tiger.
The beast writhed on the ground for a short time before falling silent, its body now nothing more than a lifeless carcass.
In that moment, Zhuang Xing scrutinized the corpse of the Earth Devil Tiger, curious to see if anything would unfold.
A streak of red light shot swiftly into Zhuang Xing’s body and vanished without a trace.
Zhuang Xing took particular notice of the red light. To his delight, he realized that it was the essence of the Demonic Beast, which his body could absorb.
Almost immediately, Zhuang Xing felt the Spiritual Force within him grow slightly stronger, bringing him even closer to the Spirit Wheel Stage Level Three Heaven. He was confident that with continued effort, it wouldn’t be long before he achieved a breakthrough to the Spirit Wheel Stage Level Three Heaven.
“Hahaha, I never imagined the Fire Phoenix Spell would have such an incredible function.”
Zhuang Xing laughed heartily. The extraordinary benefits of the Fire Phoenix Spell were an invaluable asset to him at this point. Coupled with the Pills he had crafted, he was convinced that regaining the peak of his former cultivation was just around the corner.
“Are there any Demonic Beasts left here?”
Zhuang Xing’s eyes sparkled with excitement. The Fire Phoenix Spell’s magical ability made Demonic Beasts far less intimidating to him.
Many areas of Azure Sun Mountain remained untouched and wild, teeming with various Demonic Beasts. Consequently, on that day, many witnessed a man, like a madman, relentlessly reaping the lives of Demonic Beasts.
A Rank One Giant Teeth Beast fell to his single punch.
A Rank Two Wild Lion Beast was shattered by his spear.
A Rank Two Thunder Peak Beast was obliterated with a punch.
“Hahaha, I’ve finally reached Spirit Wheel Stage Level Three Heaven!”
Deep in the jungle, Zhuang Xing roared with laughter. After a full day’s effort, he had slain numerous Demonic Beasts and absorbed their essence. He had broken through to Spirit Wheel Stage Level Three Heaven, significantly enhancing his strength.
Upon testing, Zhuang Xing found that the Fire Phoenix Spell could only absorb a small fraction of the essence from the Demonic Beasts, roughly ten percent, and only if he killed them himself. Otherwise, his cultivation level would have far surpassed Spirit Wheel Stage Level Three Heaven.
Nonetheless, Zhuang Xing was quite satisfied with a ten percent absorption rate. With the abundance of Demonic Beasts in Azure Sun Mountain, advancing to Spirit Wheel Stage Level Four Heaven or beyond seemed inevitable.
“Any more Demonic Beasts around?”
Zhuang Xing was eager to eliminate all the Demonic Beasts in Azure Sun Mountain to see the extent of his cultivation’s progression.
But he had already eradicated most of the nearby Demonic Beasts. To find more, he would need to venture deeper into Azure Sun Mountain.
“Time to head deeper.”
Resolved, Zhuang Xing pressed on into the heart of the forest.
“We’ve been on the move for the better part of the day; I’m starting to feel the strain. Let’s stop up ahead to rest and have some water.”
“Sounds good.”
Two young men were trekking along the mountain trail, weary from their long journey and in search of a spot to take a break.
Suddenly, a gust of wind swept through, startling the two of them. They looked up just in time to see someone burst out of the forest with the speed of lightning. Before they could even react, the figure had already reached them.
“Excuse me, do you know where I can find any Demonic Beasts?”
The pair clutched their chests, still trying to calm their racing hearts. This guy had appeared out of nowhere, giving them quite the fright.
After a moment, they regained their composure and eyed Zhuang Xing warily. He had materialized out of thin air, nearly scaring them to death.
“Are you Zhuang Xing?”
The young man in yellow on the right trembled uncontrollably, retreating step by step, his eyes wide with terror, barely daring to take a breath.
“Do you know where there are Demonic Beasts?” Zhuang Xing pressed.
The young man on the left was seething with anger. This person had the audacity to frighten them and didn’t even offer an apology.
“You’ve scared us half to death. If you don’t give me a good explanation, my treasured saber won’t be so forgiving,” he threatened, brandishing his weapon at Zhuang Xing with a menacing glare.
But the young man in yellow quickly intervened, grabbing his companion.
“Qin Xi, let’s just go.”
“What do you mean, go? I won’t let him off unless he gives me an explanation today,” Qin Xi insisted, his grip tightening on the hilt of his saber.
”We need to leave, now,” urged the young man in yellow, pulling Qin Xi away from Zhuang Xing, his face etched with fear.
Zhuang Xing was about to ask another question when suddenly, a large bird soared overhead. It moved with incredible speed, diving into the dense forest ahead in the blink of an eye.
“It’s over there.”
Zhuang Xing burst into laughter and, without another word, took off after the bird. To him, any animal or Demonic Beast was a source of energy that could enhance his cultivation and aid his spiritual practice.
Watching Zhuang Xing disappear, the young man in yellow breathed a sigh of relief. They had indeed just had a brush with death.
“Looh Jiang, why did you stop me? That man was incredibly rude. I should have taught him a lesson.”
“Don’t act rashly. You have no idea how fearsome this individual is. He’s been on a rampage since yesterday afternoon, slaughtering Demonic Beasts left and right. An untold number of them have perished by his hand. He’s a lunatic, through and through.”
“That horrific?”
“Yes, this man isn’t human. He’s a lunatic, a devil. We mustn’t cross him under any circumstances.”
“It’s too horrifying.”
“Let’s get out of here, fast. If that lunatic spots us, we’re going to be in deep trouble.”
“Okay.”
With that, the two turned tail and fled, their hearts pounding with fear. The thought of confronting Qin Ye for an explanation had completely slipped their minds.
