Chapter 33: The hidden part of Lilia
Chapter 33: The hidden part of Lilia
I'll speak to the director till then... Dismissed."
They nodded and walked towards the glass door. It slid open, and they left.
The man turned to the masked woman, who still stood at his side. She removed her mask to reveal a woman in her late twenties with dyed Violet hair. A sensual smile bloomed on her face, and she sat on the man's lap.
"Your insight never ceases to amaze me."
A pleased expression appeared on the huge man's face. A vague light flashed through her eyes and she spoke "The boy would be the starting point of the organization taking a top spot in this stronghold"
"He will," the man firmly responded.
"But what do you think made him different? For a decade now there has been no such situation as rare as his. Do you think there are others?" Lilia queried while staring deep into the huge man's eyes.
"I don't know, but I feel he could be the only different one," the deep muscular voice of the huge man rang loudly in her ears.
He always followed his hunch and from his experience, he was sure that Derek could be what they were looking for, a dreadful weapon loyal to a fault, such an excellent specimen caused a wide grin to form on his face, his clown-like smile made Lilia chuckle.
"But to be able to kill everyone in the facility, ha! His bloodlust is too thick, even without proper skills, he's able to slaughter close to a hundred well-trained guards."
"And even massacre the fresh blood we were trying to lure into the organization. I have to admit, even with his sloppy skills, he's amazing!" Lilia's eyes had a strange glow as she talked about Derek.
The mysteries surrounding his appearance made her intrigued. Like her father, she also possessed an insane urge to claim, and Derek's uniqueness attracted her. The dark mist made him look like those demons in fantasy.
The cold pressure that emanated from those eyes shone with hidden superiority that would soon be unleashed. Derek's abnormality didn't only attract the scientists' mad urge, it also attracted Lilia.
The more she thought about him, the more her urges intensified. Having the 'demon' beside her would increase her standing in the circle of scions. Even as a newborn, he was already establishing dominance by showing his abilities, but killing their guards soured her mood.
Lilia would be lying should she say she did not anticipate seeing how he handled the hunters, while the stronger ones ran spoiling the fun. It wasn't much disappointing later on.
"You praise the lab rat?" The huge man said with g gruff tone. His knitted brows expressed his displeasure and other emotions he felt running amok within him when he saw Lilia's gaze.
Despite being his lover, she was here talking about another man, a newborn, a lab rat with those fascinated eyes. He could already tell she was deviating from the plans they made at the meeting a few minutes ago.
"He's just lacks training, with a little tweak to get his loyalty, all I see is a powerful weapon at our beck and call. You need this to impress my father. Once he's fully ours, we can do what we want, taking some blood and whatnot," Lilia's tone carried along a thick, seductive tone.
While she loved the huge man, Lilia also didn't see anything wrong with adding another man to the mix. However, her thoughts did not go well with the huge man.
And his darkening gaze could explain it all.
However, Lilia couldn't see his expression, as she was lost in her thoughts. She got up and walked towards the remote on the table. The feeling of her ass leaving his d*** made the man exhale loudly.
While he could get that Lilia might have inherited this from her dad, he could not accept it. Her dad was known for his addiction to beautiful and talented women and even at his age, he kept on adding more, some even his daughter's age.
And now that he got her attention, and they became lovers, he wanted her all to himself. And the idea of letting another man in, especially a lab rat, made his eyes flicker. The dangerous glow in those eyes was targeted at two people.
His gaze fell on her ass. She kept twisting and turning as she walked, and the light in his eyes got deeper. He watched her pick the remote and play the scene of the lad rat slaughtering every living being in the facility.
The huge man averted his gaze from Lilia's ass and focused on the screen, his frown deepening as something he ignored before caught his attention. Some people froze in either normal or awkward positions and their dilated pupils showed the deep fear that had enveloped them.
His eyes slowly widened, and he subconsciously muttered, "Soul suppression." Shooting up to his feet, the man tilted his head and squinted his eyes. Seeing the receptionist fall to the ground and acting like the life was being sucked out of her made his heart quake.
A newborn was able to use the skill; soul suppression! Though it might be an unconscious act since he could have frozen the entire place had he really had the skill or they couldn't have captured him in the first place.
But to be able to show wisps of soul suppression directly shot up the lab rat's value, but hearing Lila let out a suspicious sound, his gaze went back to her and this time, the look in her eyes explained it all, and that went against him.
Marching towards Lilia, the man grabbed her waist, his thick fingers like pliers. "kyaa!" she made a shocked voice as the huge man's actions took her by surprise, but she didn't reject.
Their tongues entwined, and the huge man pressed Lilia against the table. The lust in his eyes also had a mix of anger and jealousy. How could she think about adding another man when he was already enough?
he planned to let her know that there wasn't any more room for another and once they caught that lab rat, he would unleash his anger on him, even if it went as far as amputating him.
But in his rage, he lost control of his strength and Lilia's yelp brought him back only to find out a huge bruise on her arm which he had held behind her.
"I'm sorry," his soft, deep voice echoed.
Lilia grimaced while holding her wrist, her eyes were filled with blame as she glared at the huge man.
"Let's go to zaine, now!" He ordered with a low tone. The fear within his body made him tremble. How could he forget who her father was, should that man find out what happened, or that he was even making out with his daughter, then his death would be a pitiful one.
"I don't like that weird woman and that place creeps me out," Lilia said with a shiver. Her former attitude dispersed like smoke... or was it hidden?
"What! You are a superhuman, a high-ranked one for a fact. Why would you be afraid of the hospital?!" the huge man hollered. He couldn't wrap his head around this. He never knew Lilia had such ears.
"I don't want to talk about it!"
"You do..." He halted and stared at his watch. The screen had a small red light blinking at the message box.
His brows furrowed, and as he tapped it, a holographic screen popped out and messages with a single sentence piled up in his inbox.
As he scanned through it and his brown eyes trembled whilst a thick, chilling premonition erupted from his trembling heart. He turned to Lilia, who had a similar expression.
He was doomed.
