Marrying the Soft-hearted Villain

Chapter 45: A substitute for gray wolf Tianluo (3)

The animal skin clothing that Ruan Qiuqiu was wearing was very simple and crude. The top part had a rough Dolman sleeves design. Basically, the top was sewn with a hole on each side where the hands could go out and the bottom part was just a piece of animal skin wrapped around like a skirt.

(T/N: “Dolman sleeves, sometimes called batwing sleeves, are sleeves that are cut deep and wide at the shoulder, with armholes extending almost to the waist. The sleeves taper to the wrist, and when the arms are held outward the fabric hangs in a long wing.” Description taken from fashionencyclopedia.com. Below is a picture of that type of top.)

She wanted to change her clothes too. Although she liked to wear short skirts, it was too cold to wear this type of clothing during winter.

While working on the animal skins, Ruan Qiuqiu thought about her clothing. The only clothing that she had that could be considered pretty was her “wedding outfit”.

The pure white animal outfit that Rou Yuerao had been wearing was truly very beautiful. Ruan Qiuqiu wanted to wear a warm and beautiful outfit like that too. Unfortunately, she didn’t have one. This was probably the difference between a female supporting character and the female lead.

After spending a few hours, Ruan Qiuqiu finally finished making clothes for Mr. Gray Wolf. She smiled in satisfaction as she looked at the newly-made simple top and pants.

Although the stitches were rough and wide, it was much better than the clothes that she was wearing right now.

In order to show consideration for a certain wolf’s self-esteem, she had made normal pants instead of saving animal skin by making pants where one pant leg stopped at his stump.

Ruan Qiuqiu craftily blinked. She had thoughtfully considered a male demon’s physiology by implementing a design where he could open it. She didn’t have a zipper, so she could only use a leather belt to tie it up.

She didn’t know how her husband would react when he saw the clothes that she had made him.

Ruan Qiuqiu looked forward to seeing Mr. Food Reserve’s response. Coming out of her musings, she pressed her somewhat hot cheeks and slowly lowered her bright eyes.

She must be too bored, and that’s why she kept thinking about that wolf.

After making clothes for a long time, Ruan Qiuqiu was a bit hungry. However, she hesitated after looking at the pitiful amount of food they had. She drank the warm water in the wooden bowl instead of eating.

The outside world was blanketed by white snow. The scenery looked as if it was completely dyed white.

The world seemed silent except for the sound of Ruan Qiuqiu’s footsteps. It felt so lonely and depressing.

Ruan Qiuqiu sat back down on the wooden stool and pressed the spot between her eyebrows. She slowly closed her eyes to sense the spiritual energy and water in the air better.

Although this world was dangerous, the spiritual energy and various elements in the air was much more abundant than the post-apocalyptic world’s.

Ruan Qiuqiu followed the previous cultivation method that she had learned and slowly guided the lively, light blue water element in this world through her meridians. After circulating the water element for a while, she condensed the spiritual water energy at her dantian.

(T/N: Dantian is the spiritual energy center.)

She didn’t know why, but this body was more compatible with her soul than her body in the post-apocalyptic world. It was as if she was the true owner of this body.

In the past, when she was in the post-apocalyptic world, it would take her an hour to assimilate that much spiritual energy. But now, her cultivation speed was much faster.

In the time that it took her to assimilate one round of that much spiritual energy in the past, she could now do three rounds of circulating and assimilating.

It just took a lot of mental energy to do so.

When she had recovered from the bursts of pain that came from cultivating, she had gathered ten sparse strands of spiritual energy at her dantian.

Ruan Qiuqiu didn’t push herself any further. She already felt dizzy and weak. Looking at the darkening sky, she wiped her body and added more firewood to the stove, then she swiftly climbed onto the stone bed. She decided to cultivate a little bit longer before going to sleep.

She was very hungry, but she knew that she couldn’t eat any more food today.

She kept cultivating until she got to the point that she was tired enough to topple over. As Ruan Qiuqiu drifted off into a deep sleep, she thought; she hoped that the blizzard would end tomorrow. She wanted to try hunting. Even if she could only get a thin snow rabbit, that would still be good.

Although rabbits were very cute, they were very tasty. She wanted to eat meat – fresh meat, sizzling grilled meat that had a seared scent, sprinkle some cumin and chili pepper, it didn’t matter how fatty the meat was…

As night fell, everything fell into darkness. The cave was very quiet. There was only the sound of their breathing.

While Ruan Qiuqiu was dreaming about eating barbecue, Mr. Gray Wolf suddenly sensed something. He abruptly opened his eyes.

He released his demon consciousness that he had finally recovered. In the absolute darkness, he “saw” a low-level fiend at the edge of the forest. Little by little, it was getting closer to their cave.

That fiend had three eyes and three feet. As it stepped through the snow, it made a “kada” sound.
