Chapter 188: If only he still had his eyes and left leg. (1)
Little Mr. Gray Wolf’s pupils shuddered a little and he reflexively shook loose Ruan Qiuqiu’s hand that was holding onto his.
Where she had touched him had a tingling sensation. It was more unbearable than the pain when he was struck by a rock.
Yuan Jue’s two black brows twisted together and he jumped off to one side. Both of his eyes stayed intensely on Ruan Qiuqiu for some reasons and his bluish-gray irises were glowing.
This was the first time Ruan Qiuqiu was denied by Yuan Jue in such a decisive manner. Ruan Qiuqiu was a little baffled.
She lifted her short, little hand frailly and reached it toward Little Mr. Gray Wolf in an attempt to call the little wolf back.
Little Mr. Gray Wolf saw her but pretended that he didn’t. His lips pursed, he said not a word but he glanced over at her stealthily with his pale look.
Ruan Qiuqiu, “… …” So this wolf had always had such a conflicting personality?
Ruan Qiuqiu almost wanted to cry. Before she could even run over to Little Mr. Gray Wolf on her short, stubby legs, the pig demons started a new round of attack trying to chase them off again.
“You guys are going too far. The bite marks on the elephant bird weren’t from the wolf tribe at all.” Ruan Qiuqiu was furious. Stretching out her arms, she blocked in front of the head of the pig demons.
Yuan Jue’s eyes darkened. Looking at the strange one from the human tribe with a strange mask on showing up out of nowhere, he felt a strange sensation spreading out from his heart. He was not familiar with this feeling and, panicking, his wolf claws appeared and with a snapping sound, he had inadvertently crushed the bat that he was holding in his hand.
To Little Mr. Gray Wolf as well as Ruan Qiuqiu’s surprise, the pig demons ignored her entirely.
They didn’t seem to be able to sense her existence at all nor were they able to touch her.
The rocks burst through the hair, straight past Ruan Qiuqiu’s little body from her consciousness and hit Little Mr. Gray Wolf.
Ruan Qiuqiu was taken aback a little before she turned to look at Yuan Jue reflexively.
Before she could turn around, however, the pang of pian from coming at her from her body of consciousness along with a strong dizziness made her fell onto the ground, drained.
She even fell with her face first on the ground. It was not a pretty fall.
Luckily she had on a mask that she couldn’t take off. It had shielded a little bit of the impact for her.
Ruan Qiuqiu wanted to get back up on her own but the pig demons were too close to her. In whatever little amount of time that it took her to roll over, a few pig demons had gotten close enough to step on her.
Was she about to be stepped on?
Ruan Qiuqiu felt pitiful for herself. She lifted her arms up and figured she would at least protect her head.
Little Mr. Gray Wolf glanced from the group of angry looking pig demons onto the human with the strange mask who appeared out of nowhere and was about to be stampeded to death and licked his little sharp teeth.
Little Mr. Gray Wolf told himself, Do not engage. Nevertheless, when he came to, he had already tossed away the bat that he had been carrying in his hand and taken a few steps back while grabbing Ruan Qiuqiu by her collar.
When he realized what he had done, a shred of regret flashed past Little Mr. Gray Wolf’s eyes but he finally let go of Ruan Qiuqiu’s collar and put her down on the ground.
Ruan Qiuqiu kicked her feet a few times in the air and landed safely on her feet.
“Dang! How come I never noticed before that this wolf wasn’t just a mute, he’s also crazy?” A male pig demon looked at Yuan Jue with contempt. “There’s nothing on the ground. Why are you grabbing at the snow? Is that a wolf tribe thing?”
Ruan Qiuqiu, “… …” Yup, these demons could neither see nor touch her.
So why was it that Little Mr. Gray Wolf could touch her? Was it because they were inside of his memory?
Ruan Qiuqiu couldn’t quite figure it out. All she knew was that the verbal abuses and insults bothered her a lot.
Bending down, she reached for the snow and realized that she could touch some things. She, therefore, collected a lot of rocks and held them in her hand.
