Chapter 36 Too overpowered!
Chapter 36 Too overpowered!
With a sense of boldness that surprised everyone around Zhang Wei, he stepped forward and stretched his arms out in front of him.
Yu Lei's eyes trembled, and she stomped her foot in anger. 'W-what is he trying to do?' she asked rhetorically.
Even the members of the Red Scorpion gang were similarly astonished.
Two other members of the gang were present, a muscular one with a bald head and a tall one with long hair. The muscular one sneered and cracked his knuckles, "Boss, it looks like this little punk is asking for trouble!"
The tall one grinned maliciously and flicked his knife open. "Yeah, let's teach him a lesson he'll never forget!"
The piked hair one referred to as boss, laughed heartily. "I like the way you think!"
Zhang Wei's eyes blazed with a fierce determination, his adrenaline pumping through his veins as he readied himself for the impending battle.
Though he lacked supernatural abilities, he had complete confidence in his own physical powers.
Without warning, he launched himself forward at an astonishing speed, his aura pulsing with an overwhelming energy that caused small shockwaves to ripple through the air.
In a split second, Zhang Wei's fist connected with a sickening thud, the force of his attack so powerful that he felt it resonate through his entire body. The piked-haired man's eyes bulged in shock as he crumpled to the ground, blood spurting from the gaping wound in his abdomen.
"Argh-!!"
A guttural cry of pain escaped the man's lips, his body writhing in agony as he clutched at his wound.
Zhang Wei was stunned by the sheer force of his attack, his hand coated in the crimson fluid of his fallen foe.
'It's like I'm a superhero!' Zhang Wei thought with a sense of pride, feeling invincible in that moment, until the system had to burst his bubble.
[... Host, they are only mortals with no cultivation. It's an overkill.]
Zhang Wei's laughter was wry as he thought, 'Can't the system let me enjoy my moment for a minute at least?'
He glanced at the remaining members of the Red Scorpion gang, their faces twisted in terror as they witnessed the full extent of his power.
With a quick shake of his hand, Zhang Wei rid himself of the filth and turned his attention to the remaining members of the gang.
The fear in their eyes was palpable, their bodies trembling as they took in the sight of Zhang Wei's incredible strength.
Song Hu watched in horror as Zhang Wei unleashed his full power, his aura pulsating with an otherworldly strength.
The three remaining members of the Red Scorpion gang were frozen in fear, their eyes wide with terror, their weapons trembling in their hands.
But Zhang Wei was upon them before they could even muster the courage to fight back.
Like a bolt of lightning, Zhang Wei moved with a speed that Song Hu had never seen before. His fists struck with deadly precision, landing blows that sent shockwaves through the air.
The first remaining member mind raced with panic as he saw Zhang Wei charging towards him.
His heart pounding in his chest, he couldn't believe the speed at which he was approaching. 'How is this possible?' he thought, his mind racing.
But before he could even take a step, Zhang Wei was upon him, delivering a blow so powerful that the first member's neck snapped like a dry twig. His body hit the ground with a sickening thud, lifeless and limp.
The first member's last thoughts were of disbelief and terror, his mind unable to comprehend the sheer brutality of Zhang Wei's attack.
The second member's heart was beating so fast it felt like it would burst from his chest as he watched Zhang Wei pull out his companion's heart. His mind reeled at the sight, unable to process the horror unfolding before him. 'What kind of monster is he?' he thought, his body shaking with fear.
He tried to lift his weapon, but his hands shook so badly that it was impossible to hold steady.
It was all for naught, as Zhang Wei moved with lightning-fast speed, his sword slicing through the air with deadly precision.
In an instant, the second member fell to the ground, his body twitching as his lifeblood spilled out onto the ground.
His last thoughts were a jumble of fear and regret, wishing he had never gotten involved in this dangerous game.
The third member's mind screamed at him to run as he watched the other two members fall, but his feet refused to move.
"Ahhh!! Don't come near me!" the third member screamed, his voice trembling with fear.
But it was no use. Zhang Wei was too fast, too powerful.
He could feel his heart pounding in his chest, his breath coming in short, ragged gasps as Zhang Wei closed in on him.
He tried to move, to run, but his feet refused to obey him.
He was rooted to the spot, unable to escape the impending doom that was rapidly approaching. 'Please.... Please.. Don't kill me,' he thought, his heart racing with terror.
When death is near even the proudest beg for their life.
He could see the cold, merciless look in Zhang Wei's eyes as he reached out for him, his fingers closing around his skull with a sickening crunch.
"Ahhhhh-!!"
The pain was unbearable, a white-hot agony that consumed him in an instant.
He could feel his life slipping away as Zhang Wei squeezed tighter and tighter, crushing his skull like an eggshell.
And then, finally, everything went black. The third member's lifeless body crumpled to the ground, a quiet, pitiful end to a life cut short by Zhang Wei.
Blood and brain matter splattered everywhere, painting the ground in a gruesome display of violence.
Song Hu was paralyzed with fear, unable to move or speak.
He had never seen such brutality before, and the sight of the three men lying in pools of their own blood made him sick to his stomach.
The air was thick with the scent of blood, and the ground was stained red. "You... you killed them all..." Song Hu stammered, taking a step back in fear.
Zhang Wei turned to face him, his eyes cold and unfeeling. "They came at me first," he replied simply.
"But... but they were armed! How did you take them down so easily?" Song Hu asked, his voice trembling.
"I don't need weapons," Zhang Wei replied, his voice dripping with confidence. "My body is my weapon."
Song Hu swallowed nervously, his eyes darting around the scene of carnage. "What... what are you?" he asked in a whisper.
Zhang Wei's lips curved into a cold smile. "I'm just a man," he said, his voice low and dangerous. "But I'm a man who knows how to fight."
Song Hu could feel his heart pounding in his chest as Zhang Wei took a step closer to him. "You're not going to hurt me, are you?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. "I-I am a member of Song famil-ugh!"
Before Song Hu can finish speaking, with a flick of his wrist, Zhang Wei summoned a powerful blast of energy, sending Song Hu hurtling backwards.
Zhang Wei turned to face him, his eyes dark and unreadable. "You should have left when you had the chance," Zhang Wei said, his voice low and menacing. "But now it's too late. You're going to pay for what you've done."
Song Hu's body hit the wall hard, his body crumpling to the ground.
As he lay there, gasping for air, he knew that he was going to die.
He had underestimated Zhang Wei's power, and now he was paying the ultimate price.
Song Hu's body went limp, and his eyes slowly closed as he let out his final breath.
The sound of his last exhale was barely audible, as if it were being swallowed up by the surrounding silence.
Zhang Wei finally snapped out of the adrenaline rush and looked at the gruesome mess he had created.
Blood was splattered everywhere, and the smell of death filled the air. Despite the horror of the scene before him, a small, twisted smile crept onto his face. "Looks like I'll need to ask that lady police officer to do some serious cleanup," he muttered to himself.
As he walked away, he couldn't help but think about his next move.
He had already made up his mind to convert all his excess yang essence to villain points, but now he needed to focus on his next target: Leng Yan.
She would be his first slave, and he had already thought about how to make her submit to him willingly.
Zhang Wei had briefly considered buying the Incubus Aura, but the system had warned him that its effects would not be absolute on higher beings like Feng Xinyue. Instead, he decided to go with the slave seal. If Leng Yan accepted the seal willingly, regardless of her cultivation level, she would be his slave.
The only challenge was making Leng Yan submit to him. But Zhang Wei was confident that he had a plan that she would love, one that would make her willingly agree to be his slave.
