Chapter 47 [Bonus ] Mana Sense
'9500… that's definitely a huge increase from 7000.' Harry mumbled inwardly as his mouth slowly curved into a grin.
He didn't expect that level or increase. Han 1,000, but instead, it was over 2,000, which was double what he predicted.
The best part was that he didn't even use all his energy, he only moved a small part of it to his arm.
What if he had placed more energy in his arm, how much would his strength increase? He couldn't help but wonder.
Unfortunately, he couldn't test that theory out as his energy control skill level was still too low.
The most he could do was move a slightly more amount of energy to his hand, any more and the flame would spiral out of control. It simply wasn't worth it, he had already accomplished his original goal.
He cleared his strength test history from the device and then left the training hall.
He had no other business in the hall, he had already completed his quest using the pieces of equipment he bought some days ago.
*****
A few weeks had passed since Harry registered in the academy as an Elementalist.
The news of a new Elementalist in the Lightning hall had started spreading around the academy.
It was spread by the first-year lightning Elementalists who also witnessed the astonishing progress of Harry.
However, the students were surprised when they discovered that the new Elementalist was actually Harry, the student without a foundation, they were shocked.
Some of them didn't even believe it, the ones that did felt it was perhaps a low-grade affinity.
The only ones who didn't feel the same way were the first-year Lightning elementalists who were in the same class as Harry, they had witnessed how fast Harry's progress was and they didn't think it was just an ordinary low-grade affinity.
Harry's affinity test wasn't done publicly so apart from the principal and a few instructors, no one in the academy knew about his three peak grade affinities.
All they knew was that he awakened his affinity very late at the age of twelve.
For some reason, the academy didn't announce it either, the principal simply registered him.
While most students would have been devastated by this, Harry was glad.
For him, this meant there would be no unnecessary attention or distractions. He had always loved to keep things to himself without much interference from other people.
Though he was already prepared in case the academy announced his affinities, it didn't mean he wanted that.
Harry was currently walking towards the Lightning hall. Just as he was about to walk into the hall, he suddenly felt a certain gaze on his back.
His eyes squinted slightly as a soft sigh escaped his lips. He slowly turned around and stared at the blue-haired student that was staring daggers at him.
Han resumed the academy a few weeks ago. His suspension was finally over and he could now come to the academy.
However, what he didn't expect after he resumed was that the trash that caused his predicament would awaken as a Lightning Elementalist.
This information was something that he found shocking and at the same time annoying.
He still hadn't forgotten how Harry humiliated him and made him get suspended 'unjustly'.
The earth hall and the Lightning hall were positioned close to each other and he had seen Harry enter and leave the hall a few times.
It was a well-known fact in the academy that regular students weren't allowed in the element halls and it wasn't that hard for him to put two and two together.
According to what he heard, Harry awakened his affinity very late at the age of twelve.
Han himself felt it was probably a low-grade affinity, people who awakened their affinities that late were known to awaken affinities between medium to low grade.
There were a few rare cases where the affinity would be high grade, however, it was very rare.
"I would surely make you pay for what you've done… just wait," Han said with a tone dripping with hate.
Harry didn't even bother to reply, he simply turns around and then walked into the hall. This wasn't the first time this had happened, in fact, it happened quite often.
Whenever he crossed paths with Han—The Lightning and earth hall were built next to each other so they sometimes meet, Han would always hiss or threaten him in any way.
He wasn't affected by it though, he was no longer scared of Han.
The veins on Han's neck bulged as he watched Harry's figure.
The fact that Harry just straight-up ignored him made him frustrated. He clenched his fists and his brows furrowed as his anger slowly boiled.
'Just wait… I would surely make you pay for this.' Han mumbled inwardly. To him, it didn't matter if Harry was now an Elementalist—it still annoyed him though, he still considered himself superior and more powerful.
He had been training for years while Harry only started weeks ago, his mana core might have regressed but he felt it was more than enough to deal with Harry.
After that incident with Harry, his overall ability and power dropped a lot. His mana reserves had not only reduced greatly but his mana core also regressed to the first stage.
His progress was even further slowed by his suspension. Although he could still absorb mana outside the academy, the absorption speed and mana density couldn't compare to when he trained in the academy.
Ever since he returned to the academy, he didn't bother himself with anything and simply focused on strengthening and developing his unstable mana core.
Luckily for him, no student had confronted him since he resumed back to the academy. His life would have been miserable if other students—most especially the ones in his class—found out that he had gotten far weaker.
With his current strength and ability, even fighting against a stage one Elementalist would be quite difficult for him.
