Chapter 119 Trading
Chapter 119 Trading
"Hello sir, what can I do for you?"
Harry used a second to look at the boy.
The boy had short black hair and midnight black eyes, his face looked young and immature and there was a few freckles at each side of his face.
However, what surprised Harry was that despite the boy's young appearance, he could sense that he was already a peak stage one elementalist.
Doing this at such a young age wasn't easy and this spoke lengths about his talent.
Apart from that, the black haired boy didn't seem to care about his appearance and treated him no difference than he would another person.
"I have some mana beast bodies that I would like to sell." Harry said, focusing on what he originally came here for.
Since the map said this area was where he would be able to sell beast bodies and beast cores, he didn't see any reason to lie about it.
The moment the black haired boy heard Harry's words, his eyes shone with joy.
"Okay, follow me." He mumbled and then walked into the shop, while Harry followed behind him.
**
Harry looked around the shop with a weird expression on his face.
In front of him was a large brown table, the table seemed ordinary but Harry doubted that it was.
The black haired boy from before along with a tall black haired man stood at the other side of the table.
The man, whose name he learnt was Neil, and the boy, whose name was Ben, had similar facial structures, but the man's was a lot more mature, making it obvious that they were either father and son or at least related in some way.
The interior of the shop was actually quite small and bland, it didn't seem like a place where something as precious as beast cores were traded.
However, despite the rather bland appearance of the shop, Harry felt an odd sense of danger, it was safe to say the place was reinforced by some sort of artefact, and it was probably one that was quite powerful.
"So where's the beast?" Neil asked calmly. "Just place it on the table."
His expression was quite nonchalant and he wasn't expecting much, after all, from what he could sense, Harry was only a stage one Elementalist.
"Ohh, okay." Harry said, focusing his attention back on the duo.
He brought out his storage device and then paused for a second with a weird expression before bringing out a rather small beast body from it.
He did it in such a way that the beast's body appeared on the table.
He didn't bring out all he had at once because he wanted to know how much he could get for one beast body first, and also to observe how things would play out.
The mana beast was a wolf-type with thick brown furs and sharp fangs that jutted out of its wide open mouth.
Its body was still—as one would expect from a dead animal—and the expression on its face was frozen.
The name of this beast was "brown wolf", it was one of the stage one beast Harry killed in the forest.
Out of all five stage one mana beasts that he killed, he absorbed the beast cores and bodies of two, making them impossible to sell, but he reserved the bodies and cores of the other three, so he would be able to sell them.
This wolf-type beast was one of the three he didn't absorb.
It was quite weak so killing it was also easy, he made sure to finish the fight quicker so he would not ruin the body as he did with the bat-eyed dog's.
He also brought out the beast core and placed it beside the body.
Neil stared at the beast's body for a few seconds, observing it as if to confirm something.
However, a weird expression flashed through his eyes when he saw the beast core.
Whenever people of Harry's age come to the shop to sell mana beast's bodies, they rarely sold the beast cores with it.
Most of them would rather just absorb it to increase their mana, so he was quite surprised when Harry offered to sell the beast core.
Oddly enough, he didn't touch either the body or the beast core, but simply looked at it from a distance.
The boy by his side had an excited and impatient expression as he stared at the beast core.
It was as if he wanted to devour it. Ben had always had some sort of fascination with beast cores, from the day he became an Elementalist.
He even wanted to hunt hunt mana beasts on his own, but his father had always disallowed him saying that he was too young and the dangers were too high, so all he could was stare at the beast cores people brought to his father's shop with fascination.
Suddenly, a thin red line appeared from the table and went over the beast's body and core in a semi-circle.
Just before it got to the other side of the body, the line's colour changed from red to green and Neil nodded his head slightly.
Harry's eyes widened slightly when he noticed this, just as he had expected, the table wasn't just any table, but an artefact.
He couldn't help but wonder what grade it was.
It seemed like what it just did was confirm the body's authenticity.
Neil looked back at Harry before he said: "The mana beast body would sell for 50000 Credits. And the core for 150000 credits."
Harry's eyes widened when he heard the amount said by the man.
'So much money for just one mana beast…' Harry mumbled inwardly with his eyes shining with glee.
Without hesitation, he agreed and Neil brought out his storage device.
He placed the beast body and core in the storage device and then brought out a large waddle of cash which was 200000C from it, before passing it to Harry.
Harry stared at the money in his hands and a slight smile appeared on his face.
After confirming the payment, he placed it in his storage device.
He then suddenly brought out all the other mana beast bodies and cores from his storage device and placed it on top of the large table, causing Neil and Ben's eyes to widen in surprise.
"How much for all this?" Harry asked with one of the corners of his lips tugged upwards in pride.
