Chapter 137 High stats
Chapter 137 High stats
Harry's eyes squinted slightly as he watched Nathan leave the stage.
'I was right, he really is strong.' He thought. With the strength Nathan displayed, he doubted even Sarah would be able to defeat him—at least, it won't be so easy.
He couldn't help but wonder, if Nathan was this strong, and yet, he was still a rank five student in Zenith academy, how strong were the rank four to one students?
In the world, there were three academies referred to as the "Big three academies".
Just as the name implied, those academies were recognized as the top-three magical academies in the world.
Whether it was in resources, or strength of students, they were all top-notch.
The first was Sky academy, followed by Kayrel academy, with the third-ranked being Zenith academy.
All three of them were managed and organized by the AMO—just like most of the academies in the world, however, the reason they were that popular was because of the amount of talented students in the academy.
Each of them were located in big cities around the world, and majority of those who attended them were from wealthy and influential families.
Compared to those three academies, Vane academy was like a hut in comparison.
On the day of the tournament in which Harry planned on participating in, all of those talented Elementalists and combat mages would also be there, and majority of them would have the same goal—to win the tournament.
With his current strength, he doubted he would even have a chance in the competition.
'I'll have to get stronger… and more powerful.' Harry thought, with a slight frown on his face.
However, he shrugged and made up his mind not to think too much about it.
For now, all he had to do was focus on the ranking competition that would arrive in about two weeks, the tournament could wait for now.

The edges of Harry's lips curved into a slight smile as he stared at the set of tabs and characters in front of him.
He was currently walking in the middle of one of the academy halls. A lot of eyes were on him, some attracted by Ji's handsomeness, while most wondering why he was simply staring off into space and smiling to himself.
In their eyes, he looked like a crazy student, lost in his imagination.
Harry ignored all the stares he was receiving, and simply focused on the set of information flashing across his eyes.

About two weeks had passed since the Nathan's duel with Farhen, and during that time, he made sure to complete each and every of his daily quests, racking up stat points everyday and also gradually increasing his stats.
Compared to last two weeks, his stats had improved greatly, and seeing all of his stats in the 'nineties' made him feel quite fulfilled for some reason.
Ever since that day when he saw Nathan's stats, a part of him felt quite competitive.
Seeing someone else have higher stats than him for the first time stoked his competitive spirit, and he made sure to put in more work in his training during the last two weeks.
It was why he also made sure to increase all his stats to at least 90.
And now, looking at his stats and feeling the amount of strength coursing through his body, he felt that it was all worth it.
He didn't just focus on his daily quests over the past few weeks though, he frequently went to the beast forest to hunt mana beasts.
Compared to the first time when he found hunting stage two mana beasts like the four-eyed cobra challenging, now stage two mana beasts were quite easy for him to deal with.
Although, there were still a few times he ran into troubles, they weren't too difficult to deal with.
He had also managed to rack up a lot of EXP, either by killing the mana beasts, or by absorbing the mana in their bodies or beast cores, and was able to level up twice.
While the EXP he got from completing the system's daily quests also contributed to his level ups, the EXP gotten from killing the mana beasts was what boosted his level the most.
Observing his current stats now, he couldn't help but wonder if he would stand a chance against Nathan if he used his full strength.
After all, his stats were more or less higher now, and they would only increase with each passing day.
'I shouldn't worry about that too much for now.' Harry thought with a slight smile on his face, and then closed the "Host stats" tab.
He then opened another tab from the system, and a different set of characters appeared in front of him.

While hunting the mana beasts in the forest, there were a few times when he would receive quests to kill a certain number of beasts.
The quests he got were similar to the one he got during his first beast forest adventure, except that they were more difficult as they were involved with stage two mana beasts.
However, the system hardly gave him any quests to hunt mana beasts, and despite him frequently visiting the beast forest during the past two weeks, he only got quests to hunt mana beasts a few times.
At times, the quest granted him stat points as a reward, through which he was able to increase his stats.
However, most of the times, the quest granted him skill points as a reward. Of course, the number of skill points he got from each quests varied according to their difficulty.
Thanks to the skill points he gained from completing the quests, he now had up to 181 skill points in total—the largest he had ever had.
Harry smiled once more before finally closing the tab.
While he was excited to see that many skill points, he didn't plan on using them to level up his skills but was keeping them for something else.
As for the main thing on his mind right now, it was the ranking competition which was starting today.
