Lunar Supremacy: The Original Alpha

Chapter 234 Those Who Work Behind The Scene

Under the night sky, the mountain stood tall and majestic, its dark outline contrasting with the twinkling stars above. The moon's silvery glow casts a gentle light over the rocky slopes, creating an aura of tranquility.

At the peak of the mountain, there was a flat area where a stunningly beautiful woman sat on a tree branch.

Her appearance was doll-like, with flawless porcelain skin and long, black hair that flowed gracefully down her back. She had an air of coldness and pride in her piercing gaze.

The night breeze played with her hair as she looked out at the vast horizon, lost in her thoughts.

Suddenly, her attention shifted, and she turned around swiftly, her sharp eyes scanning the darkness.

There was a hint of intensity in her eyes, like a predator on high alert.

A moment later, a strange phenomenon occurred as a black hole formed, and a man wearing a white coat stepped out from its depths.

The beautiful woman lowered her guard.

"How was your evaluation? Is he useful enough for us?" the man asked.

"He's too weak for now." Her voice lacked any hint of excitement or disappointment, as if she were discussing a mundane topic.

"For now? Oh , so you think he has a lot of potential, "

"At the end of the day, potential is just that – potential," she replied. "But it all means nothing if he dies prematurely."

"You're too serious as always," he sighed, voicing his observation.

"And you're too easygoing,"she clicked her tongue in annoyance.

"Then what happened after ? Did he accept it?"

"It went as expected," she answered, her cold and prideful demeanor unchanged.

Before the man could reply, she spoke again.

"We need to move quickly. I struck a deal with him, so we have to take care of some of the fragments and capture the beasts guarding it. It shouldn't be too difficult for you,"

"We?" The man raised an eyebrow, a hint of suspicion in his voice. "Why do I get the feeling that you're about to dump all the work on me again?"

"I am dumping it all on you. We need to complete our part of the deal if we want to earn his trust," Yuki replied, clarifying her position.

"It's rare for you to follow others' orders. That guy must be pretty impressive. Don't tell me you've fallen in love with him at first sight? I mean, that guy tends to attract women," the man teased, a playful smirk crossing his face.

"Watch your words, Geju" she warned, her voice cold and commanding.

Without hesitation, she surrounded him with dark flames, a clear indication of her lethal intent.

"I'm just kidding around, " he waved his hand jokingly, trying to lighten the tense atmosphere.

"Stop wasting time and do your job," she said firmly, extinguishing the dark flames .

Geju feigned a pout, pretending to be put out by her seriousness.

"But I still have a part-time job to finish," he protested, trying to playfully evade the task at hand.

"You've been on Earth for centuries, and you still like to act and work as a normal human?" Yuki raised her eyebrows in contempt, unable to believe that the person in front of her used to be a Mid God.

Even the god of the underworld used to say that Geju could have easily reached the Peak God standard during the primordial era, so she was having a hard time accepting his laid-back personality.

Geju responded with a smile, undeterred by her disapproval.

"Don't be like that, Yuki. Sometimes, living a normal life is the best," he said calmly.

Yuki scoffed, finding it hard to understand his perspective.

"Normal life is for weaklings. We have power beyond imagination, and yet you choose to waste it on mundane existence," she retorted, her pride as superior being was evident in her words.

"You need to learn how to relax sometimes ," Geju's smile remained, and he shook his head gently.

"You know, your father sent you here so you could enjoy your life even for a bit," I think you should take a look at

Yuki's expression changed, a mix of surprise and frustration crossing her features.

"Shut up! No one is supposed to know about my father," she exclaimed, clearly flustered by his words.

"Don't worry, we are the only people here. And your secret is safe with me," he assured her.

Yuki's stern demeanor softened slightly, but she remained cautious.

"Regardless, you should keep your mouth shut about this. You know what could happen if someone learned about my real identity," she warned, emphasizing the potential consequences.

"Alright," he said, understanding her concerns.

"But I've said this before, you should enjoy a normal life even for a bit . This place is beautiful and filled with fun things to do. It would be too late to enjoy this in the future ," he reminded her.

"Please just mind your own business and just do your job," she answered coldly.

"I can't seem to break through that stubborn head of yours," he sighed in defeat,

With that, he once again summoned a black hole and disappeared, leaving Yuki alone on the mountaintop.

As she gazed at the night sky and the serene mountain landscape, she felt a moment of uncertainty.

Perhaps Geju was right; perhaps she should take the time to experience normal life, to appreciate the simple joys and wonders that Earth had to offer.

But after a few moments of contemplation, her emotions shifted back once again. The brief respite of considering a normal life was overshadowed by her sense of duty.

"No, I can't just sit around while my father is losing his powers," she muttered to herself, reaffirming her commitment to the mission at hand.

California Evangeline Mansion -Underground HQ

The usually quiet place was now abuzz with activity, filling the air with the sound of hushed voices and the soft tapping of keyboards.

Multiple individuals were gathered, each engrossed in their own screens, diligently reading and analyzing information about recent supernatural news from all corners of the world.

Every now and then, someone would exchange a quick word or nod with a colleague, sharing crucial findings or seeking insights.

These people work behind the scenes, but they are the ones responsible for the Moonlight Sanctuary's whole operation around the world.

"The Vatican is taking actions against us. They've kidnapped and killed our intelligence unit in Rome, Italy, and France," an intelligence officer spoke, his tone grave and concerned, as he read the reports.

"Notify all our agents in Europe to exercise extreme caution," Evangeline commanded, her voice steady despite the underlying tension. "We cannot let our guard down in the face of this aggression.""

"Affirmative "

"Mother Evangeline, we've received a report that another (Potential Demon Lord ) Rank SSS appeared, but unlike Diablo, its energy signature vanished right away," a vampire agent informed, reporting in with urgency.

"Keep monitoring the situation closely," she instructed.

"Gather all available intelligence and prepare a detailed analysis. We cannot afford to underestimate any threats,"

A flurry of reports continued pouring in, spreading like wildfire, but she remained composed despite the workload.

Her presence exuded authority and grace as she deftly managed the influx of information.

But one report made her paused and contemplated for a full minute.

"Mother Evangeline, the Vatican is calling for a supernatural summit. I think they're planning to discuss the existence of our Moonlight Sanctuary," another officer reported.

After a few breaths.

"Gather all our highest-ranking council members immediately. We need to convene an emergency meeting to devised a plan, "

"And call our leader immediately,"
