Chapter 46: PigMan
46 46 - PigMan
At one point, Noah was having such an easy time killing the bots that each time they collectively appeared, he would teleport to their backs and cut off everyone's neck.
The battle became so unbalanced that in addition to the little pig, the other three Blessed ones had already dropped their weapons and sat on the floor to watch the strange massacre that was unfolding before them while they talked to each other.
"What will be his true strength?" The teenager in the purple suit asked the other two as they watched the battle from afar.
Hearing the question that he himself had, the man with the cat's head put his hand on his chin in a contemplative manner and answered, "Given the ease with which he is killing the bots, I would say that the piggy is at least Rank E, while the devil may even be a Rank D or C. This Blessing of his teleportation is very useful in battle. Even if it were currently a Rank F Blessing, his fighting power is not inferior to a Blessed Rank D in any way."
The other two were surprised by the accurate assessment of the cat-headed man. The cheerleader even commented, "That's true, but if it was a Rank F Blessing, I doubt he would be able to teleport without stopping like that. If the Blessing was so weak, he would at most be able to teleport about four times. I have a friend who was Blessed by the god from the shadows, but as her Blessing was Rank F, she was only able to enter the shadow form for a second and at most ten times a day. Look how many times this devil has teleported; from what I counted, he has passed twenty times."
"That's true..." The teenager in the purple suit agreed.
What they didn't know was that Noah was trying his best to keep teleporting. His skill had a condition that the farther he went, the more energy would be spent, but the opposite would also be true for the inverse, that is, the closer the teleports were, the less energy he would need to spend.
Noah had teleported 23 times and he was definitely feeling fatigue hitting his body. The amount of energy he expended was very large, but as he was in the game, Noah wanted to test his own limits, so as not to need to do so in a desperate situation in real life where not knowing his own limits could kill him.
When he killed one of the bots for the fourth time, the time for the game was finally over.
[Victory!]
Noah didn't even look at the other three Blessed and clicked on the option to leave the match. As soon as he clicked, a portal appeared beneath him and he returned to the lobby in the great underground plaza.
Fortunately, after each match, the game restores the player to the peak condition so the player did not have to rest for hours to play another game. That in itself had already proved to Noah how wrong he was in the past to not look into the game.
This game was not just a game, but a perfect training platform, a platform where a Blessed person could fight and take themselves to the limit to be able to train combat, strategy, and overview without having to worry about dying to a random monster, since after death one could revive endless times just having to wait a few seconds. If he had used this game to train himself, Noah was sure that his level of control with small knives and daggers would be much higher than it was today, where he had to train in the Fortresses, risking his own life having to control himself to do nothing reckless.
'At least I didn't create a bad habit here,' Noah thought as he remembered how nonchalant the players were towards the bots in battle. If someone got used to doing what they did here in the game and tried to do it in a real Fortress, that person's only destiny would be death. As for Noah, who did the reverse process where he first went to real Fortresses before playing the game, he could not get rid of the thirst for knowledge about the enemy he had, which could never be a bad thing.
---
On the other side of the planet, a man was playing Valorwatch. But this man was not alone: he was actually already a well-known player in the Valorwatch community from having a high ranking.
Because of the high ranking he achieved, people started to become interested in seeing him playing. In the beginning it was just people who played games with him, or against him, but over time his name started to spread across the Valorwatch community on planet Zeta. Gradually he went from an unknown player to one of Valorwatch's big names.
PigMan: a Blessed Rank B who managed to earn a place in Rank A on Valorwatch because of the high control of the Blessing and skills he had. As one of the only Blessed Rank B players playing in Valorwatch's Rank A league, people loved watching the live streams he made while playing.
But this time something strange happened. PigMan was doing a challenge where he needed to limit his own strength to the rank he was in, if he was in Rank F, his strength could not exceed that of a Rank F. So he would have to climb all ranks to Rank A again just using the strength of each rank he passed.
Right after creating the account he would use for this, PigMan and the people watching his live stream were very excited, as they wanted to know how easy it would be for a Rank A to be able to rise again using a new account.
After creating the account, PigMan was asked to participate in the tutorial, where he thought that nothing unusual would happen. As far as he remembered, in the tutorial there were almost always just Blessed people who had just awakened their own Blessing and were still learning to fight.
So as soon as he crossed the tutorial portal, PigMan got up off the floor and ran in the direction that the monsters would be, without even looking at the other players.
For those watching him, this was a normal thing to do, since they would just be noobs.
As the battle progressed, PigMan began to feel pressured. The battle against bots using only Rank F force was extremely difficult. Even though he killed three and died only once, his team was more of a hindrance than a help.
The battle got ugly to the point that PigMan and the chat started to believe that they would really lose in the first game, in the tutorial no less!
"Guys, it looks like the Rank F tutorial is very difficult for me..." PigMan said in a much more dramatic way than it should be, while the thousands of people who watched his live stream laughed and had fun watching it. Who imagined that a Rank A player would lose in the Rank F tutorial?
- Don't worry PigMan, we believe that these powerful Rank F bots could be defeated by you one day! lololololol -
- If the bots alone are kicking your ass, I'll be quite afraid when you go against real players hahaha -
- Don't worry, Rank F players can be worse than bots, passing the tutorial is more difficult than beating real players, since bots at least know what they are doing, while their real enemy is their own team! LMAO -
As they laughed and made fun of PigMan, suddenly an explosion of flames happened in the middle of the battle. And the battle they thought was lost, in an instant was reversed by just one Blessed, or rather, a devil.
For a few seconds, no one sent a message on the live stream chat, everyone was so impressed by the devil killing the bots like they were sheep and he was a wolf, having even more ease than PigMan who was a Rank A (who was limiting his own strength).
Until a lonely message finally appeared in the chat.
- Who is that devil? -
