Chapter 19 - Moon West Star Bar
CHAPTER 19
"What is he doing here?"
"How am I supposed to know?"
"It is like he is searching for something."
"More like someone."
"The rumours are true. He sure is handsome."
In no time, murmurings and talks ensued as the people stared at the dashing CEO.
RING! RING!
"XANDER!" Sky yelled.
Xander finally answered the call as his eyes darted to and fro searching for any sign of her.
"What?"
"Where the bloody hell are you?"
"Oh my gosh! He is so hot, quick, let's take pics and post."
Sky could hear the noises coming from the background and his already contorted face deepened into a frown. "Where are you right now? Scratch that, I do not want to know. Leave your crazy fans behind and bring your butt here," he demanded, completely ignoring the consequences of talking to his boss like that.
'Damn it Sky. Just a few minutes. I need to find her.' Xander thought, his mind going on a rampage for losing track of her like that, but he didn't say those words to Sky.
"Xander!" Sky yelled again, pulling Xander's attention back to the call.
Xander cast a quick glance on the street once more, his head lifting to look farther ahead before turning away reluctantly.
"Handle it, Sky. I will soon be there, in two minutes max."
"Fine. This time, your two better be two."
Without further talk, Xander ended the call and entered the car.
As soon as the doors closed, the bodyguards all went back to their respective cars as well. Letting the people go on with their respective lives.
"Drive," Xander ordered the driver and returned his gaze back to the sidewalk.
Just as the driver drove forward a bit, the doors to a grocery store pushed open and he caught sight of her by the counter, paying for her goods.
His heart skipped a bit upon seeing her and he was tempted to pull over and race to her but he didn't, not unless he wanted Sky to eat him up.
He could have done so and ignored Sky's nagging like he usually does when he does something the former hated, but he couldn't right now.
The investors this time were needed for the new business they were venturing into and although he could manage on his own, he didn't want them investing in his competitors' business.
That would have looked bad on his reputation and all. That was the last thing he needed now.
His fists balled by his side and his handsome face got marred with a frown at not being able to go over to her, then and there.
'Do not worry tigress. We will see each other soon. I can feel it. Until then, keep evading me.' He said in his head as a peal of small bitter laughter broke out from his lips.
Without paying much attention one would think he was chuckling to himself over something funny, but he did that over his inability to get hold of a woman he had an interest in.
Vroom!
******
Stepping out of a cab, Jade brushed her brown hair covering her face and proceeded to the sidewalk of the road.
She was clothed in a sleeveless red gown, reaching a little bit above her knees with a slit at the left side, stopping just at her hips, revealing her smooth white soft thighs further.
Her jet black heels and bag were in perfect sync with her outfit and makeup, giving her a dangerous look.
She looked up at the big building bustling with people trooping in and out and read, "Moon West Star Bar."
Clutching her bag to her side, she took a step and headed for the entrance. On getting in, she saw everyone putting on a mask and was directed to the side to get one.
'Oh, a mask party, this is even more convenient.' She thought to herself and picked a black and red mask, then proceeded further into the crowd.
**Forty-Five Minutes Later**
Four men stood in front of a car, smoking and drinking when Jade stumbled into the deserted road down at the side of the bar.
A minute prior she was panting, but upon noticing the men, she straightened herself and walked forward as though nothing was wrong.
Upon seeing her, they moved closer, blocking her path on the road.
"Hey pretty lady, want to have some fun?"
"No."
"Such nice legs and sexy body, definitely my type," one of the men with golden hair complimented while checking her out.
Jade grimaced at the lustful sights of the men in front of her but didn't utter a word. All that was on her mind now was to leave that place as quickly as possible.
Now, these hooligans decided to block her path.
"If you play innocent and nice, we will make you scream in pure ecstasy. What do you say?"
"Sorry, I am waiting for a friend," she lied, taking a couple of steps back.
'Urgh, what kind of a lie was that Jade? Think of something better.' She scolded herself mentally.
"If you'll excuse me…"
"And where do you think you are going to?" A voice asked from behind her, freezing her in place.
She swiftly turned around only for her eyes to be met with a pair of hazel eyes and a muscular bodied guy.
'Just great, another one!' she mentally sighed and backed away to the side as the men all closed in.
"Why the rush? Since you are already here, we might as well just keep you company," the third man said, winking at her.
'Eww, I might puke just thinking about this smelly guy's hand on my body, urgh!'
She shuddered at the thought and kept on moving back till her back hit a wall.
"Nowhere to run now missy."
"Just give in like a nice girl and let me fondle your perfectly round tits," the last man added, rubbing his palms together and licking his lips.
'Disgusting. I'll make you pay by breaking those hands for even thinking of doing such nonsense to me.' She mentally noted while eyeing the man from head to toe.
Just as she got ready, to deal these idiots a good blow, another voice rang out from behind them, stopping everyone in their tracks.
"There you are. I've been looking everywhere for you."
