Chapter 176 The North's Deadly Magical Forest (2) They Won!
Looking at how the battles are going at such a fast-paced pace with all of the monsters summoned by the man winning over the battle, I then lastly shift my gaze to the back where the wagon is being protected by an army of skeletons.
The Golden Retriever barked loudly as he raced forward, his powerful legs carrying him toward the undead army with lightning speed. The Moonlight Butterfly flitted along beside him, her delicate wings reflecting the moonlight in a stunning display of grace and power.
The Moonlight Butterfly led the charge, her wings spreading wide and unleashing a barrage of magic arrows toward the enemy. The arrows were made of pure moonlight and glimmered as they flew through the air.
They struck the undead with deadly accuracy, piercing through their ice armor and bursting into bursts of light that burned the flesh beneath.
The Acid Ant Queen and her army were not far behind. Their powerful jaws were capable of cutting through the ice with ease, and their acidic secretions melted the armor of the undead with incredible speed. They swarmed over the enemy, clambering up their legs and onto their bodies, where they began to chew through the flesh.
The Fey Mammoth was a massive beast, and its mere presence was enough to make the enemy tremble. Its long tusks were deadly weapons, capable of crushing armor and flesh with ease. It lumbered forward, the ground shaking beneath its massive feet, and its trunk was filled with the powerful magic of the fey. It used this magic to unleash a barrage of energy bolts that struck the enemy with deadly precision.
The Golden Retriever was not to be left behind. It barked and growled, its fur crackling with energy as it unleashed powerful bolts of lightning at the enemy. The lightning struck the undead with incredible force, and the sound of their screams echoed across the battlefield. Undead does not usually scream because of getting magic, does that lightning made of holy mana?
The Golden Retriever was fearless, and it charged forward, its powerful jaws snapping at the enemy with lightning-fast speed. Its eyes are observant and it jumped to whichever opponent that is showing a weakness.
The Moonlight Butterfly fluttered gracefully around the battlefield, her magical powers blasting the undead with beams of black light that weakened their resolve and left them vulnerable to the acid ants' corrosive attacks. Some of the undead that rushed into it suddenly fell to the ground as if they are puppets getting their strings cut. I don't know how, but the Moonlight Butterfly must have a powerful ability as well.
The acid ants swarmed over the undead, their powerful jaws tearing through their armor and leaving them in tatters. The Fey Mammoth rampaged through the horde, his massive tusks striking fear into the hearts of the undead as he plowed through them with ease. As the Fey Mammoth rushed, some of the undead got tangled and caught by magical vines that suddenly appeared from the ground, making them immobile and could only receive the terrifying blow from the Fey Mammoth.
The 300 skeletons were a formidable sight, their swords flashing in the moonlight as they battled their way through the horde. They were relentless and tireless, and no matter how many undead they felled, more always took their place.
The battle raged on for what felt like hours, with neither side showing any signs of slowing down. But eventually, the tide began to turn in favor of the Golden Retriever, the Moonlight Butterfly, the acid ant queen and her army, the Fey Mammoth, and the 300 skeletons.
One by one, the undead began to fall, their icy powers unable to withstand the combined forces of the animals and their new allies. The Golden Retriever and the Moonlight Butterfly worked in perfect harmony, their magical powers combining to create a fearsome display of power and grace that left the undead reeling and unable to fight back.
The acid ants continued to swarm over the undead, their corrosive powers eating away at their armor and weapons, leaving them vulnerable and exposed. The Fey Mammoth was a towering force of nature, his massive tusks crushing the undead with ease and sending them flying through the air while its magical vines restrict the movement of the enemies.
The 300 skeletons were a relentless wall of steel, their swords flashing with deadly precision as they cut down the undead with ease. They were tireless, and no matter how many times they were knocked down, they always rose again to continue their battle. And it is visible that their strong and perseverance are higher than the frost undead.
As the last of the undead fell, the Golden Retriever, the Moonlight Butterfly, the acid ant queen and her army, the Fey Mammoth, and the 300 skeletons let out a chorus of triumphant barks, roars, and cheers. They had done what they had set out to do, and they had done it together, as a team.
The Golden Retriever and the Moonlight Butterfly looked at each other, their eyes meeting in a moment of shared triumph and joy. They had worked together to overcome a formidable enemy, and they had come out stronger for it.
The acid ant queen and her army scurried about, their powerful jaws clacking as they feasted on the fallen undead. The Fey Mammoth let out a mighty roar, his tusks held high in victory. And finally, the 300 skeletons stood shoulder to shoulder in a line, their swords raised in victory as they celebrated their success.
At the side is also the same. The Galewing butterfly and the Magma Bear are celebrating their win as they look at the corpse of the huge frost serpent lying beside them. While the ghastly and skeletal figure that should be fighting together with them had already approached the man with the glaive like a faithful servant. Looking at his master's battlefield that has already ended, it seems that the ghastly figure is slightly disappointed because he can't fight side by side with him.
"We've fulfilled your command faithfully, my king," Uttered him with his terrifying voice.
"I see. Good job, Grimclaw, and everyone. This is quite a satisfying victory," The man with the glaive uttered with a satisfied smile.
It's over...
I can't believe it, yet the scene unfolded right in front of me.
Then, the man suddenly glanced at me before making a complex expression on his face. Looking at his expression, reality suddenly struck me back. I'm a slave together with other slaves that consist of girls and little girls, and the one who saves me is a man that seems to be either a traveling magician or an adventurer. His strength is clear, he's beyond any of us. Now if he wants to do something, he could do anything to any of us.
As he shift his gaze, I saw that his gaze lands on the winter wolves and the golems that are approaching him.
Somehow, not only the winter wolves, but the ice golem and the rock golem seemed to be rather dissatisfied.
"Ahahaha... You guys have done well defending the collapsed people from the undead. Sorry for not giving you more chance to wreak havoc, okay?" Lyan apologized with a gentle stone as the winter wolves surrounds him and snuggled their face to him.
"For you two..." Lyan gazed at the two golems.
"You're injured enough, and it would take too long for you two to recover if you got more damage. The both of you are unlucky since the two you faced seem to be part of the strongest of the group," Lyan uttered with a shrug.
The ice golem and the rock golem made a similar gesture of shrugging and went to the frost giants' corpses.
He then once again glanced at me and uttered in contemplation, "Hm... Now for you... I can't just let you go freely since you saw all of that, and I can't kill you as well... Okay!" The man clapped his hands as if he just got a great idea.
"Let's make an oath," The man said with his arms folded.
"An oath...? Y-You mean..." A mana oath is very rarely to be used since it could make irreparable damage at the soul directly if the person who made the mana oath acts opposing the oath.
"Yes, an oath!"
