Lord of The Mysterious Realms

Chapter 1: The Beginning of the Convention

Chapter 1: The Beginning of the Convention

The bewildered expression Jenkins had on his face was looking very pitiful,is this what they call transmigration?

"Kid, it's time to bet our luck."

Under the red and blue twin moons, the scruffy faced middle-aged man roared in a low voice while banging a sweaty Jenkins Williams against the dilapidated brick wall. Under their feet was a dark copper leaky steel pipe and they had no idea who would pay extra pence for it .

The young man was still dazed. The last time Barnard saw him, he was a priest sent by the order for teaching cultural classes to everyone.

Helpless, the man could only repeat again viciously.

"Kid, I'll tell you again, that monster behind us has caught up, we can only enter the [Mysterious Realm] now to gamble on our luck. But you should know that not everyone can enter the [Mysterious Realm], only those with transcendent potential can, so you have to bet your life!"

"Forget it."

Seeing that the boy in front of him was still dazed, Barnard took a step back and turned to look at the shadow that was gradually approaching from the end of the alley.

"Remember, kid, if you die in a while, the [Dark and Hidden Church] will give your family some compensation but if you managed to survive and are lucky enough to be our companion then congratulations on really coming into contact with the true nature of the world. I don't know which righteous god you believe in, but pray one last time."

"He is from the Dark and Hidden Church and believes in the righteous god [Moon of No Light]?"

This information inexplicably jumped into Jenkin's mind.

On the other hand, the middle-aged man violently yanked his arm in the direction of the wall and slammed it. In the last afterglow, Jenkins, no, according to the memories inherited he should be called Jenkins saw that at the corner of the alley, a two-story tall octopus with dense suction cup tentacles was trying to squeeze its body in.

The octopus with dirty green suction cups seemed to have no eyes, and trash and sewage from the alley had contaminated some of its tentacles. But just one look at the image gave Jenkins the illusion that his head was about to explode.

"Damn what is this? An otherworldly version of Cthulhu?"

(TN : Cthulhu is a cosmic entity created by writer H.P Lovecraft)

As if through a thin film of water, an indescribable dazzling white light flashed before his eyes. After all the dust had settled, Jenkins gasped and knelt on the marble floor covered with floating dust, while the middle-aged man on one side looked ahead with a smiling face.

...

In the passage of white light which seemed both like an instant but also permanent, Jenkins finally sorted out the present situation.

He is Jenkins Williams, the second son of the Williams family, who lived on Maidenhaven Road in the Sabine district of Nolan.

Today was a good day and Jenkins was strolling on the street during night time like usual. Just when he was about to return home expecting to get a scolding, a monster suddenly came out of the ground and attacked him.He ran for his life while chanting aloud the blessing of the [Inherited Sage] where he ran into Mr. Barnard, although the latter was able to use a "strange beam" to delay the monster for a moment, but both of them were still blocked in an alley.

...

According to the inherited memories, the real Jenkins' death was the result of witnessing a pair of dark eyes hidden in the monster's tentacles. And now he recalled some of the images left in his memories and also his soul seems to be aching.

That's about it for the memories, Jenkins was immediately drawn towards the three dots of light and three that appeared in front of him.

"Do you see? Those points of light."

The middle-aged man on the side asked hesitantly, and Jenkins nodded.

"Well then, congratulations kid! the truth of the world is about to be revealed to you. Don't worry it's not some horrible witchcraft, it's a supernatural power recognized by the Church, only you'll have to report it."

With these words, he helped Jenkins who was still sitting on the marble floor to his feet and only then did Jenkins realized that the two of them had "drilled" into the wall and seemed to have entered another space, and were now in a dilapidated and dirty room.

This should be an ordinary residential dining room, the dim candles on the round dining table barely illuminates the room. Jenkins was able to see doors and windows nailed by the short planks as well as a broken cupboard with a missing corner facing the door.

No one had been here for a long time, and the mere act of getting up could raise a lot of dust.Jenkins's.The black leather boots that Jenkins wore and the leather shoes on Mr. Barnard's feet changed their color in the blink of an eye.

The area was not very large, and the most intriguing thing was a figure dressed in black robes at the round table.

"Time is short, I will brief you, dont interrupt me in between."

Barnard looked nervously at the black figure, gulped and spoke quickly regardless whether Jenkins heard it correctly or not.

"The super powers mentioned in the bedtime stories that your mother has told you really do exist in the world. You dont have to doubt this for the time being. Every lucky person who can awaken powers can see two [World Blessings] in the early stages of awakening, yes, they are the two points of light in front of you."

One, two, three ......

Probably this world does not have the number three, right?

Jenkins thought so, but in fact he only used this naive behaviour to get rid of his tension. It was definitely not an illusion, the black-robed man who had not moved at the round table seemed to be looking at him.

"These two points of light are the initial of your transcendental path, now tell me what color they are?"

Jenkins stood still with the three light dots the size of a soybean grain in front of him, one each of white, green and purple color. He did not know what this meant, but according to the general rule the purple should be more precious.

(TN: Colour purple is often associated with royalty, nobility and power)

"White and green."

He said so, while looking frankly into Barnard's eyes. Technically he did not lie, this was indeed the color of his "two dots of light in front of him".

"Good luck."

Barnard nodded, turned his head again to look nervously at the black-robed man, and said at a faster rate...

"Concentrate on those two points of light, and you will get two abilities. The green dot is the crystallization of the deepest qualities of your soul while the white one is a blessing of the world, for everyone who initially awakens ."

"What's the significance of the colors ?"Jenkins asked quickly.

"The colors represent types, white is the foundation, green is life. Well, let's talk about these later, quickly."

At this time the atmosphere in the narrow space was indeed a bit wrong. Even though the black robed man was motionless, he was still putting a tremendous pressure on both of them. And with every passing second, such pressure was almost catching up with the giant octopus monster that Jenkins remembered seeing.

He followed Barnard's instructions and frowned at the point of light, but to no avail. After a moment, he hesitatingly reached out toward his temple and in accordance with whatever knowledge of "mental suggestion" and "self-hypnosis," he had before transmigration and suggested to himself.

"I'm activating my super powers."

(TN: Go Klein...I mean Jenkins)
