Lord of the Karmic Fate

Chapter 61 Weird Dream

'A new Avatar Title?' at first Raven was surprised before a satisfied grin formed over his usually indifferent face and quickly opened the description of the title.

-----------------------

-> Unique Effect: If you are fighting an Alpha Beast all your Traits gets increased by +25!

<You can change your Titles at any time!>

-----------------------

"This seems quite promising," Raven mumbled, his gaze especially fixed on the Second Active Effect.

That ability was literally a cheat code!

Although it was not useful when he faced a single beast, as then his Traits would only increase by 3 if he fought a pack where he was against 10 or even more that was equivalent to 30+ points!

That was like he jumped 3 or more Ranks in an instant!

The only problem with this title, however, was that it could be only used when he battled beasts and not other individuals.

"Well, as I can change the Titles whenever I want I will just keep my current Title active," Raven mumbled to himself as he glanced at the floating orb on the altar before he decided to call Thomas.

"Y-You have done what?!" Thomas' shocked voice came from the other side of the line before he turned serious and told Raven he will be right there.

Shortly after that, Thomas with numerous recruits entered the small garden, but when they saw the carcass of the two humungous beasts their jaws dropped almost to their knees.

"Y-Young Master... Did you kill... it yourself?" walking beside Raven while watching as the recruits examined the sliced and smashed bodies of the two snakes, Thomas asked with a hint of doubt and worry.

"Yeah, it was me. I used these to kill them." Raven raised his right foot, showing Thomas his Revenant Claws.

Of course, he missed out on the part on purpose where he should have mentioned he killed those two, each with a single strike. After all, who would believe him even if he told so?

Thomas once told Raven there was a recruit with a Rank 5 Strength who tried to kill the beast, only to end up running for his life at the end. Luckily, he escaped, but the injuries he sustained were rather grave.

Ever since then, although people were allowed to enter the Realm Domain freely, they were strictly prohibited from entering the building. Naturally, those who ignored this warning could only blame themselves if they die and the Black Moon Guild will not compensate in any way.

Thomas glanced at the metal shoe on Raven's leg and after pondering silently for a few seconds he sighed and said, "I see. Well, what matters is that you are safe."

"Now at least we can collect the shards without worrying about a thing." Raven smiled before he pointed at that orb and said, "Also, make sure no one touches that orb, or else the Domain will collapse."

Following Raven's finger, Thomas glanced at the floating small orb on the altar and nodded, "Understood. I will find someone to stand guard while we clear the Domain."

"Good, then let's get down to work." Raven grinned and once he summoned his Collector's Glove he began to collect shards, either duplicating them or enhancing their effects.

Thomas helped him also and quickly brought more people to help collect the items Raven left behind.

Naturally, when the members of the Black Moon Guild arrived and saw the large number of treasures lying on the ground their eyes were filled with greed, but as Thomas made sure to supervise everything they could only drool their saliva and take them right into the warehouse.

Time passed quickly and about 2 hours later Raven finally collected the last shard before deciding to meet up with Thomas at the small altar in the center of the building.

"Do you think we can take the carcass of these beasts outside the domain?" Raven asked Thomas as he watched how people worked around the now-dead bodies of the two beasts.

"We can. There is already a Realm Domain under our possession where we can slay smaller-sized creatures and take their corpses out of the Domain." Thomas explained before adding calmly, "Also, until we don't take their bodies outside, the Realm Domain will not be cleared."

"I see." Raven nodded and after thinking for a while he excused himself, going back to his room to take a good rest before the Special Event.

He set the alarm to wake him up just an hour before the start of the Special Event and jumped into his bed, instantly falling asleep.

"wake up... Wake up... Hey... Hey... I SAID WAKE UP!"

"WHAT?!" snapping his eyes wide open, Raven jumped onto his feet and looked around alarmed.

However, after waiting for several minutes he frowned with confusion and lowered his hands that were raised, ready to throw out a punch at any moment.

"This was weird... I could swear I heard someone yelling right into my ear." Raven mumbled quietly and turned around, only to be frozen motionless as a face was just inches away from his, its facial expressions hidden behind an almost blinding white glow.

"You have to break your seal! Your seal! Break it or you will never be free!"

A deep voice resounded from every direction around Raven, shocking him even further before the face slowly dispersed into thin air and everything around him went black.

Then, when he blinked, he realized he was no longer standing but lying on top of his bed, his sheets covered in large amounts of sweat for no apparent reason!

"What the hell... was that?" Raven mumbled, his eyes slowly shifting at the alarm beside his bed, watching as it was ringing like crazy.
