Chapter 114 Unexpected Welcome
As the little puffy thing fluttered its wings and approached the creature with slow and sluggish movements, the mutated plant opened its "mouth" wide and after leaning a little bit backward it gobbed out some substance with a deep blue color.
Upon seeing this Raven's face paled scarcely, thinking this really was the end of his summon, however, unexpectedly it wasn't. In fact, it was the other way around!
Just as the dark bluish substance, which seemed to be some kind of toxin was about to fall on the little bird and swallow it in a whole, suddenly the little thing vanished from its spot and appeared right above the mutated plant!
"What!?" Raven's eyes widened as he didn't see anything. However, the next second something even more startling thing happened.
Or to be more precise, something blood-chillingly terrifying.
Once the little bird appeared above the creature, catching it out of its guard, the little thing opened its beak open which quickly grew in size and widened insanely large.
So large that even a truck could easily fit in there!
And once it was wide open, it didn't even hesitate a second to bite into the plant, and with one fast and single movement, it swallowed it in whole!
Blurp!
'...'
Watching with a stupified expression as the little bird closed its beak and burped before it flew back and landed on his head, closing its eyes and seemingly falling asleep, Raven didn't know what to say.
Everything escalated just way too... fast.
However, soon an excited smile appeared on Raven's face, and patted the little bird gently and said, "So you are not useless in the end, huh?"
Of course, while it was true it really possessed terrific abilities, Raven still felt bitter inside.
'100 points of Mystique every passing second... This little thing truly is gluttony. I wonder if I summon it I do need another 10,000 units of Mystique to summon it.'
As Raven pondered on such a question he shrugged and decided to try it out. And when he did, he was delighted to find out he didn't have to spend another 10,000 to summon it.
'But still, even as it is unsummoned I can feel it consuming 1 unit of Mystique every second.' Raven sighed and after looking at the spot where the mutated plant was just a few moments ago he decided to start walking again.
And after walking for less than 1 minute straight, he crossed paths with another mutated plant, one that had the exact same appearance akin to the previous one.
"I will take care of it," Raven said as he summoned his dagger, immediately triggering the effects of his Avatar Title and Rune Mark.
Whoosh!
Bam!
Once his Strength and Speed soared above Rank 40 Raven pressed his feet firmly against the ground and dashed forward, appearing beside the mutated plant in less than a second.
'Die!' Raven's eyes flashed coldly as he swung his weapon, however, just as his blade was ready to come into contact with its stem, suddenly bluish pollens were released from its leaves.
'Crap!'
Raven was caught off guard by this unexpected change of events and accidentally breathed in the pollen, instantly feeling pain assault his lungs that caused him to struggle to breathe.
'Not good!' Raven's face paled and quickly summoned 1 High-Grade Healing Pill and threw it into his mouth.
And luckily, it worked.
'That was too close.' wiping away the small trickle of blood from the corner of his mouth, Raven narrowed his mouth and watched as the mutated plant turned around.
Then, once it faced him completely, it started to lean backward, making Raven know what was about to come.
'Now!' just a fraction of a second before the mutated plant spit its substance out Raven jumped far to the side, avoiding the attack just by an inch, before stomping on the ground and appearing beside it once again.
And this time, he succeeded in cleanly cutting its stem, sending it to its death!
[Congratulations! You have slain Rank 44 Mutated Nightshade!]
[Your Mystique has increased by +2!]
'So I can only gain points if I am the one who lands the finishing blow, huh?' Raven thought to himself as he could remember how he got no Trait points when the little bird killed the other Mutated Nightshade.
After killing the Mutated Nightshade Raven began walking once again, going deeper and deeper into the blue forest.
However, after his first kill, he strangely met with not a second one.
'Perhaps those two were missed by Luna that's why.' Raven thought to himself as he knew the rest of the Mutated Nightshade were killed by his little sister and her party.
'I wonder just how strong she and her party truly is.' a calm smile appeared on Raven's face before suddenly he heard a loud explosion from not far away from him.
Booom!
A powerful ripple swept through the air as the ground shook like crazy while above the trees Raven could see a huge mushroom of dust soaring toward the sky.
'Over there.' Raven quickly dashed toward that direction and shortly found himself in a large clearing that had a large crater with a tall bulky guy in its middle whose body was engulfed in blazing crimson fire.
"You have overdone it, Oliver... Again." a young woman in a rather revealing dress stood at the edge of the crater, in her right hand a long and beautiful rifle visible.
On her right, a short guy holding a large shield that was twice his side nodded while on her left a handsome young man with a soft charming smile shook his head.
Raven could immediately recognize the latter, he was the one who always ran after Luna, trying to make her his date.
Of course, it was needless to say he always failed, yet he still kept going which was both annoying and respectful.
'I wonder if he was able to succeed a little in these three years.' Raven thought to himself, however, knowing his personality he hardly doubted it.
'And where is she?' Raven pondered as he was unable to see Luna's figure, however, he didn't have to wait for a long time.
Suddenly, as the dust settle down from the sky a figure was seen descending like a meteorite before crashing into the ground, sending another wave of tremor through the earth.
"Good job, everyone." a cold and indifferent voice sounded the next second before something whistled through the air, sending the dust flying everywhere and revealing an immensely beautiful figure just beside the bulky man.
"Luna..." Raven's eyes widened when he saw just how mature her figure, demeanor, and breathtakingly beautiful she had become in the past three years.
In the past, she has already considered a beauty with no one able to content against her, but now, she reached a whole another level. Even the young woman beside the shorty paled in comparison!
"Lady Luna, good job in killing that Nightshade." the young woman showed a smile to which everyone nodded in agreement.
Luna just nodded and as she climbed out of the crater, with the help of the handsome young man, of course, she looked at everyone and said, "Now we only have to find the Realm Core and we are done here, so let's do our best."
Everyone showed a delighted smile and was ready to start walking when suddenly the young woman's face stiffened and fired her rifle in a direction.
BAM!
"Mia, what the hell are you doing!?" everyone was stupified, but Mia decided to not say anything and just stared at the spot where she had just shot a bullet.
Luna and the rest frowned, however, not even a second later a figure appeared from behind the tree.
"Who the hell is that? A human?" the bulky guy asked with a puzzled look despite the flames around his fist starting to dance fierier than before.
"That is impossible. No one is allowed to enter this Realm Domain from the outside without permission and because we have been not notified this only means..." the shorty spoke nonchalantly, raising his shield as if it weighed nothing.
"It is a humanoid creature." Mia quickly said and was ready to fire again when Luna raised her hand which if one looked at closely trembled scarcely.
"Wait. It is a human."
"Huh? You sure?" everyone looked at her in confusion.
"Yes. And I think I know who he is." Luna said and without hesitation began to walk forward.
"He?" the confusion in everyone's eyes only deepened a level, after all, that human's face and body were still covered in the floating dust.
However, as they trusted Luna they followed after her. Naturally, they kept their guards up just in case Luna was wrong.
Luna walked quickly before the figure, and once she was only a few feet away from him she stopped.
Raven, who was no longer hidden in the floating cloud of dust looked at his little sister with a small smile.
"Hey, Lulu. Long time no se-"
