Chapter 79
The Living Devil, Jiang Xiaoman (1)
When he looked up and saw Jiang Xing and Jiang Xiaoman, Yu Wencheng smiled apologetically. He looked at the mess all over the floor and awkwardly said, “This kid has a bad temper. I only said something to him, and he started smashing things. Now he locked himself in the room and won’t listen to anyone.”
Yu Qingshi had shut himself in the room and wouldn’t listen to anyone. Yu Wencheng was at his wits’ end. He had already called the psychiatrist, but it would take a while before he arrived.
Yu Wencheng glanced down at Jiang Xiaoman and asked her, “Xiaoman, can you help Uncle?”
“Sure, of course.” Jiang Xiaoman was still confused. She felt pressured, and her heart was uncomfortable, making her feel hard to breathe.
Yu Wencheng took her hand and brought her to the door to Yu Qingshi’s room.
He knocked a few times, “Qingshi, Xiaoman is here.”
There was no movement inside.
Yu Qingshi didn’t plan to pay them any attention.
Yu Wencheng sighed heavily and said loudly, “You can lock yourself inside, and you can also open the door. As a man, what’s so great about resorting to this method every time?”
Everything was still quiet.
Yu Wencheng let go of Jiang Xiaoman’s hand and knocked on the door several times with all his strength, saying loudly, “Don’t think that I can’t do anything if you hid inside! I’m going to get someone to come and tear the door down!”
“I’m in!” A little milky voice suddenly rang, interrupting Yu Wencheng’s rising temper.
Yu Wencheng was stunned. He was just about to say that the door was closed and she couldn’t enter. But when he lowered his head, he found that Jiang Xiaoman, who had been following him, was already gone!
Where did she go?
Yu Wencheng was frightened and quickly turned around while covered in a cold sweat.
“Uncle Yu, I’m already inside!” Jiang Xiaoman’s voice sounded again.
The voice sounded a little muffled; it came from inside the room.
……hmm??
She really was inside already?
How did you get in?
This kid… How did she do it?
“Xiaoman!” Yu Wencheng was a little bit at a loss. He called her, “Tell Uncle, how did you get in?”
Jiang Xiaoman turned around near the door and squatted down. A small head appeared from a small hole at the bottom of the door, saying in a low voice, “I saw a hole here, so I snuck in.”
“……”
Yu Qingshi had been raising a fat orange cat called Miaomiao. The fat orange cat went along really well with him and liked to sleep together with Yu Qingshi. Every night, it would sneak under his blanket.
But that child was very insecure and always locked the room when he slept so no one could come in. Back then, Miaomiao would sit in front of the bedroom door and clawed at it with its paws, desperately trying to open the door. It would meow and make noise all night.
Later on, Yu Wencheng had a hole made on the door for Miaomiao to sneak in through.
Adults couldn’t come through this hole, but Jiang Xiaoman could. She only needed to take off her thick coat.
Yu Wencheng was dumbfounded and finally smiled.
He also squatted down and whispered to her, “Xiaoman, can you coax him to come out and open the door? He hasn’t eaten all day. People will die if they don’t eat.”
Jiang Xiaoman nodded, “Okay, leave it to me.”
This little friend Yu Qingshi was so naughty; he wouldn’t even eat.
She should let Grandma handle him. Skip your meal or be picky, and you’ll get spanked. Even if it was her most hated carrot under Grandma’s education, she could still eat a few bites of it with her eyes closed.
The room was very dim. The curtains were all closed and blocked all the light coming in. There was no lamp inside the room, which was very hard to see.
Jiang Xiaoman was not afraid of the dark. Her house in the village often had power outages, and she had long been used to doing things in the night.
She ran to the bed and touched it, and found that it was empty.
Yu Qingshi’s bedroom was huge; she had no idea where he was.
