Level Up: Voidwalker

Chapter 177: Silvermoon City

Chaos erupted as Atlas started fighting. The Confederation soldiers launched their assault, but he was faster than the Hobgoblin Warriors. At the same time, he was deflecting several attacks and using Void Wave to clear some space.

'I need to get out of here before reinforcements appear.'

As he did that, the Warcraft above started firing its cannons, causing explosions all over the village as more warriors appeared. Atlas looked at the flying craft before aiming Nightblade at it and casting Void Bomb, followed by several more that sliced through the air.

The first projectiles whizzed past the Warcraft as it evaded them. However, one missile found its mark, detonating and shearing off one of the craft's wings. The damage sent it spiraling uncontrollably, plummeting toward the ground below.

While this happened, Atlas summoned the Dreadmaw Lion because it would be better due to the incoming enemy. The giant monster appeared and tried to speak but was shut up as he jumped on her back. ''Run, or I will die!'' he said.

''Run? I will glide through the air!'' the lion declared.

Atlas shook his head as they started sprinting west toward the city where he was getting an aircraft to Aridonia. While running, he turned around and noticed the incoming Warcraft as they began to fire their cannons.

The Dreadmaw Queen started sprinting away from the burning village as the Warcraft gave chase. She managed to dodge most of the attacks, but Atlas had to use Void Guard to deflect several strikes that would have taken them out.

Following that, he spotted mountains in the distance and ordered the lion, concerned as more Warcraft joined the chase, ''Head for the mountains! We will lose them in there.''

'Yes Master,' the monster replied.

Atlas turned around and started casting Void Lances and Void Bombs at the pursuers; some were hit, but most managed to evade the spells. This gave them some leeway, but he didn't stop spamming magic.

The evening sky was lit in an azure glow that matched his eyes. Atlas noticed monsters closing in from the west, and these were giant wolves ridden by Hobgoblin Warriors, causing him to bring forth a pack of Dreadmaw Lions and Void Raptors.

He pointed at the incoming enemies before ordering, ''Take them all out! Make sure none live my monsters.''

When the creatures heard his command, the lions roared while the raptors chirped as they started charging. Atlas watched the two sides clash in an epic battle display as his monsters battled with their persuaders.

'That should hold them back,' he thought with a smile.

The Void Raptors danced around the battlefield while taking out the Hobgoblins as the Dreadmaw Lions ganged up on the wolves and tore them apart until an explosion wiped them out.

Atlas's eyes blazed with fury as more enemy airships darkened the sky. He clenched his fist, then called forth Theo, who emerged from a swirling portal with wings unfurled. As Atlas dismissed the Lion Queen with a brief command, Theo swooped down, effortlessly lifting him into the air.

The bat's voice rumbled with resolve as it asked, 'Shall we fight, Master?'

'Let's wipe the Confederations ships out for attacking me, boy!' Atlas exclaimed.

Following that, Theo skillfully evaded every wave of cannon fire as he approached the first Warcraft. Atlas peppered the airship with a dozen Void Bullets that exploded on contact before casting Void Bomb at another.

'They will have to retreat or lose loads of airships due to chasing me,' he mused excitedly.

When the azure projectile connected with the craft, it exploded. Theo dived and landed on top of another before tearing the jet-fighter-looking airship apart as Atlas cast Void Lance at a bigger version.

His magic tore through the metal, sending the craft plummeting toward the ground before crashing into a ball of flames. Afterward, the two continued attaching the Green Confederation until the Warcraft stopped appearing.

'Finally,' Atlas let out a breath of relief. 'Now let's get to Aridonia.'

He quickly glanced down and noticed dozens of destroyed airships littering the landscape as torches headed toward the downed craft, causing him to think, 'Help has arrived.'

Once Atlas saw that, he ordered Theo to soar toward a city named Silvermoon Port, where he would get an airship across the Drowned Maw Sea, which made him shiver when hearing the name.

It took them twenty minutes to reach the hills outside the city, and their flight was peaceful, causing Atlas to recover the spent mana he used in the air battle. Theo quickly landed as Atlas noticed hundreds of Hobgoblin Warriors patrolling the walls and road.

This scene caused him to smile and think as an idea came to mind, 'I can use Maskweaving to hide until I reach Aridonia.'

Following that, Atlas dismissed Theo back to the Dungeon Realm before he activated his disguise spell to look like a goblin, which made him chuckle. Once that was done, he made his way to the road.

'They shouldn't be able to find me unless someone very powerful appears,' Atlas mused while climbing down the side of the hill.

When he arrived, the surrounding orcs, hobgoblins, and goblins looked at him but couldn't see through his spell. Afterward, Atlas started walking toward the city, where he had to pay one silver to enter.

'Wow this place is unique,' he mused while looking at Silvermoon City.

Towering walls of stone and iron encircled a vast network of buildings, each a mix of crude craftsmanship and surprising elegance. Fortresses rose high, their edges catching the moonlight, while Goblin workshops hummed with activity, steam rising from chimneys.

Narrow, winding streets bustled with life, filled with Hobgoblins in armor, Goblins trading strange wares, and Orcs moving purposefully. What caught his eye most was the way everything blended.

Despite the roughness, the city had a strange beauty—vibrant and alive, proof that their unity was working. Tall spires jutted into the sky, decorated with different banners and totems, while bridges connected the city's various sections.

Atlas noticed the city was split into several sections by rivers that ran through the place, 'Let's explore this place while looking for the airship hanger.'

He started walking through the city and admired the stores and houses lined the street. Ten minutes later, a delicious aroma hit him, causing him to stop walking and glance around, only to see a stall with an old goblin woman serving people.

'Maybe I should stock up on food,' Atlas pondered. 'I've got more then enough coins to buy anything I want.'

Afterward, he approached the queue and waited until it was his turn. The older goblin woman smiled and commented, ''Little one. What can I get for you?''

Atlas looked at the menu and noticed Horned Rabbit Kebabs, Wild Orc Tortillas, and Forest Chicken Wraps. He thought, 'Oh god, these sound good.'

''Can I have fifty of the Kebabs, Tortillas, and Wraps?'' he requested with an innocent smile.

The old goblin woman laughed, ''A greedy one, I see? That will be one gold and fifty silver,'' she revealed the price.

Atlas took out the coins and put them on the counter while answering, ''I will wait for you to be done.''

Afterward, Atlas settled onto a nearby bench and pulled out the Body Tempering Guide. As he flipped through the worn pages, the instructions became clear: he needed to meditate, drawing mana into his core.

From there, he would guide the energy through his body—his skin, bones, veins, mind, soul, and finally, his very essence. The process was complex, demanding intense focus and precise control over every bit of mana.

Atlas discovered that he had to do it for every element, thanks to his being a Voidborn, which allowed him access to all of them. After that, he put the book away and waited for another half hour to watch the people go about their day.

As he did that, the older goblin woman called him over and said, ''Your order is ready, boy!''

He walked over and saw piles of food, the delicious smell of which made his stomach rumble. The stall owner commented in a chirpy voice when he saw him, ''A few more orders, and I'll be about to go home.''

''Thank you for everything,'' Atlas said while storing the food away before continuing through Silvermoon City.

After searching for a while, he couldn't find the airport, so he had to ask a large Hobgoblin who was gossiping with his underlings, ''It's rumored the Butcher of Brookhaven is heading here. The council has dispatched the Mage Hunters to catch him.''

One of the smaller orcs replied, ''Did he really butcher the village? My cousin was from the next town over.''

When Atlas heard this, he stopped to listen, which interested him. One of the goblins spoke, ''Is it true he battled with the Warcraft Legion? A merchant told me at least twenty craft were destroyed.''

'Seems word of my arrival has spread,' Atlas internally chuckled as he approached the guards and spoke innocently, ''Excuse me, sir. Could you tell me where the airport is, please? It's my first time in Silvermoon City.''

The Hobgoblin commander turned around with a friendly smile while ruffling his hair. ''Head south and look for the giant goblin statue. You won't miss the airport; it's easy to spot,'' he said gruffly.

Atlas nodded and thanked the man before heading south with a smile.
