Chapter 591: Chapter 591 - Unseen Universe: First Steps
"Cecilia, can I bring more people here?"
"Of course, Master, you can bring others here," Cecilia replied. "However, there are a few conditions that must be met first. I can explain those once you're done exploring."
Broken nodded, a faint smile playing on his lips. "I'm not done admiring this place yet, but go ahead and give me the details."
Cecilia's eyes lit up, and she launched into her explanation eagerly.
"Alright, Master! This place is a pocket dimension within the Unseen Universe Necklace,
accessible exclusively by you. You can use it just like an Inventory space, storing and retrieving items easily at any time."
She paused, letting the significance of it sink in, before continuing with even more excitement.
"And while I'll go slowly so you won't be overwhelmed by just how amazing this place is, I'll start with this: you have the ability to build all sorts of structures here. But first, you'll need to gather the necessary resources," Cecilia explained.
Broken nodded. "Alright, tell me what I need."
"Mana," Cecilia replied simply.
"Mana?"
"Yes, Mana," she confirmed. "To put it plainly, you'll need to collect as much Mana as possible and store it. Here, Mana acts as a currency, and you'll use it to build and develop everything in this space."
"What kind of things can I build?"
"You can construct your own base here," Cecilia said with a smile. "You'll be able to build troop barracks, defensive structures, magical towers, and much more."
"Whoa... Really? I never imagined this pocket dimension would be this incredible. So I can essentially create a whole new type of base here!"
"Yes, Master. There are so many possibilities waiting for you."
Cecilia nodded slowly, and with a graceful wave of her hand, four items appeared in the air and drifted gently toward Broken. He reached out eagerly, taking them one by one.
[You've acquired 1 Gatestone.]
[You've acquired 1 Moonlight Passkey.]
[You've acquired 1 Mana Crystal.]
[You've acquired 1 Mana Reservoir.]
"So, Master," Cecilia said with enthusiasm, "these are your four starter items. You'll be able to obtain more in the future, but these will get you started. You can check the information on each item if you'd like, though I can explain them in detail as well."
Broken nodded, glancing over the items, then began reading through each of their descriptions carefully.
[Mana Crystal]
[You can place this crystal anywhere, and it will absorb Mana from the surroundings, channeling it into the Mana Reservoir. The Mana collection rate varies between 5 and 20 units per minute, depending on the quality of Mana in the environment.]
[Mana Reservoir]
[This reservoir stores the Mana collected by the Mana Crystals. Its maximum capacity is 3,000,000 Mana.]
The crystal would continuously absorb Mana, transferring it to the reservoir, where it would be held until needed. These two items together would allow him to build up a powerful reserve of Mana―essential for activating and expanding the island's hidden potential.
"Come, Master..." Cecilia called, flying ahead while Broken followed. She stopped near a grove of trees, hovering in place.
"Master, you can set the Mana Reservoir here," she said.
Nodding, Broken placed the green, egg-shaped object on the ground. It expanded, reaching the height of an average person. Its core was a transparent, egg-like structure surrounded by lush green leaves that spread out at the base like a plant.
"This reservoir will store all the Mana collected by the Mana Crystal, which you can later use to build various structures in this dimension," Cecilia explained.
"So, will this reservoir stay fixed here, Cecilia?" Broken asked.
Cecilia replied, "Yes, Master, but don't worry, you can always move it if you wish. When you have more Mana Reservoirs, you'll probably want to place them all together for efficiency." "Understood," Broken nodded. Then he held up the smooth, white stone-like object in his hand. "And this is the Mana Crystal."
"Yes," Cecilia confirmed. "To activate it, you'll need to place it outside this pocket dimension. Once it's set, it will start absorbing Mana from the surrounding environment. Just remember, the amount it gathers depends on the quality of the area's Mana. So, depending on where you place it, it will collect between 5 to 20 Mana per minute."
Broken nodded thoughtfully and voiced his concern. "But why is the rate so low, Cecil? I mean, 5 Mana per minute doesn't seem like much."
Cecilia chuckled, shaking her head. "Master, building up this place will take time, yes, but trust me, the rewards will be worth it. Plus, you'll be able to acquire more Mana Crystals over time. This is a standard starting rate."
"Right," Broken replied. "Now, tell me how to locate a place with high Mana concentration, and explain exactly how this Mana Crystal works."
Cecilia brightened. "Simply put, Master, areas with high Mana concentration are usually Ancient Locations, places that have existed for centuries and haven't been heavily used for Mana-driven activities. I'm sure you'll find many such places outside this dimension."
She continued, "In contrast, areas where many adventurers gather or where battles are frequent-like towns or hunting grounds-will have a lower Mana concentration, so those aren't ideal for placing the Mana Crystal."
"I see. Anything else?" Broken asked.
"The Mana Crystal will only gather Mana when it's placed outside this pocket dimension. Also, if you're inside here, the Mana gathering will pause," Cecilia explained. "You can carry it with you or place it in a high Mana concentration area and leave it there."
"So, if I'm inside this dimension, the Mana gathering process stops?" Broken clarified.
"Yes, Master," Cecilia replied.
"I see... that means I shouldn't come here too often unless it's really necessary," he
concluded.
Having grasped the use of the first two items, Broken understood he'd need to find an optimal spot to place the Mana Crystal, where it could gather as much Mana as possible without
interruption.
"Right then, Master," Cecilia said cheerfully. "Shall we move on to the third item?"
[Gatestone]
[Place this item in a specific area, and it will serve as a stable gateway to exit the Pocket Dimension. Once established, its position cannot be moved; it can only be destroyed.]
Broken furrowed his brow, contemplating the item's description. He thought he understood the concept, but he wanted to confirm it with Cecilia.
"So, if I'm understanding correctly," Broken began, "this item acts as a sort of teleportation anchor? I can place it anywhere I want, and I'll be able to exit the pocket dimension and arrive
there directly?"
"Yes, Master, exactly!" Cecilia confirmed with a nod. "Once you place the Gatestone, it creates
a fixed gateway point from the pocket dimension. As long as the Gatestone remains intact, you can always return to that exact spot when you exit this place."
Broken nodded. This would allow him to establish a strategic entry and exit point, ideal for
his adventures.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
Cecilia continued, "And if you acquire additional Gatestones in the future, you'll be able to place them in multiple locations. This will allow you to move between those points directly from within this pocket dimension, making travel incredibly efficient."
"Interesting," Broken murmured, his mind racing with the possibilities.
"With this, I can return from long expeditions without the hassle of traveling back on foot or
wasting time. It's probably the most valuable advantage I could have no one will anticipate my movements, which could make for some very effective surprise tactics. Truly amazing." Cecilia nodded, her eyes alight. "Shall we move on to the fourth item now, Master?"
"Yes, let's do that."
