Chapter 110: Chapter 110 - Clario Town

Chapter 110: - Clario Town

After a long and grueling journey, precisely after five days of struggling with harsh terrain and relentless monster attacks, Broken, Freya, and Booba finally arrived at Clario Town. Their armor was tattered, and they bore the scars of their arduous battle, with bloodstains marking their battered bodies.

Clario Town was a modest but bustling settlement near the border of the White Sand Kingdom. Its buildings, constructed mainly from white stone, were almost hidden beneath lush greenery, with trees and vines growing profusely around them. As the trio walked its streets, they felt an immediate sense of welcome from the calm and pleasant atmosphere that hung in the air.

The southern side of the town bordered an enormous forest teeming with life, while to the north, the serene coast stretched out, with the sound of crashing waves echoing off the rocky shores.

"Finally, we've made it to Clario Town," Booba said, a satisfied smile spreading across his weary face. "Hahaha."

"Yeah... finally..." Freya echoed.

"Come, follow me," Booba said wearily. "I know a good inn where we can rest while staying in this town."

They trudged on, looking every bit like zombies as they shuffled along the town's streets. Their appearance-haggard, bloodied, and broken-drew stares from the townsfolk. Rather than offering help or kindness, they sneered and scoffed at them.

"Look at them, a bunch of newbies who got lost and ended up here."

"Do they think this place is for amateurs? They'll soon meet their end, rotting in the streets!"

"Yeah, they look really poor. They should sell off their capsule devices and quit this game immediately if they want to survive."

Booba's face flushed with rage at their words. He turned to them, "Hey, you stupid assholes, shut up and get away from us! You wouldn't believe how rich I am if you knew!"

But Booba's words fell on deaf ears. Seeing nothing but their shabby and broken appearance, the onlookers only laughed harder.

A few minutes later, they arrived in front of a grand, awe-inspiring building. The inn was constructed from an elegant arrangement of white and gray stones, with trees and vines that grew prolifically around it. The dense forest surrounding the town gave it a distinctive, nature-themed charm that was both inviting and captivating.

Booba, at the forefront-stepped inside the inn. Almost immediately, there were murmurs of unease among the inn maids. Some looked frightened, their eyes wide with alarm, and their bodies tensed as if ready to flee.

"Who are they? Call the town guards to chase them away."

"I'm scared. I want to leave."

Booba's face contorted with anger. "Hey, you shut up! I'm so rich! Don't judge people by their appearance, you assholes."

Broken and Freya followed closely behind him, keeping their heads down to avoid drawing any more attention to themselves.

Booba approached the inn's front desk with an air of confidence. "I want to rent the most spacious room that can accommodate three people, with separate bedrooms, for one month. Don't ask too many questions and prepare it immediately."

The woman behind the counter cowered, her eyes filled with fear. She hesitated briefly before nodding and scurrying off to comply with his demand.

Without showing any signs of his previous rage, Booba turned back to Broken and Freya, a wide smile spreading across his face.

"We will live comfortably here, leave everything to me, hahaha."

He reached into his inventory and retrieved some gold coins, tossing them onto the counter with ease. The clinking of gold against wood broke the silence.

"Let's enjoy our time in this remote town while we have no other options," he said proudly. "Hahaha."

They waited a while because the maids were preparing the room according to Booba's request. After that, they were escorted to the 4th floor of the inn. The maid smiled warmly as she handed them the keys to a well-appointed room.

The space was larger than they had anticipated, featuring a complete living area furnished with a plush sofa, a small dining table, and a few intricately designed wooden chairs. The walls were decorated with soft-colored rugs, adding a cozy touch to the room. There were three separate bedrooms, each containing a comfortable-looking bed with thick quilts and fluffy pillows.

The room also boasted a large window with glass panes that flooded the space with natural light. The view was breathtaking. Gazing out, they could see the town of Clario bustling with activity below. The streets were lined with vendors selling vibrant fruits and handmade crafts, children running about, and townsfolk engaging in lively conversations.

The impressive architecture of the white and gray stone buildings contrasted beautifully with the lush greenery that seemed almost to embrace the town.

"Elincia and her guild are also in this inn, so it'll be easier for us to meet up with them for a gathering," Booba remarked casually, a smirk playing on his lips.

Freya giggled at his comment. "If you're not kind and wealthy, it's doubtful there's anything else useful that you can offer," she teased gently.

"I was once an undefeated world champion in my previous game and a skilled swordsman. I have huge potential in this game. My limitations are only my level right now, hahaha. But soon, I'll catch up to those clumsy Ass Guild members," Booba said proudly, puffing out his

chest.

"You're doing so much for us, Booba," Broken suddenly interjected.

Booba scoffed, draping an arm around Broken's shoulders. "We were fated from the start," he said. "I don't mind being your closest ally, so you can save your praises for later because you've only seen a small glimpse of what I can do for us, haha," he continued with an amused chuckle.

Eager to shed their travel-worn attire, they quickly changed into more relaxed clothing provided by the inn. The fresh clothes were simple but comfortable, and it felt incredibly good to be out of their battle-damaged gear.

Freya eagerly turned to Broken. "How about we go for a stroll around town? We need to stretch our legs and see what Clario has to offer."

Booba, who had his own business to attend to, waved them off with a grin. "Go ahead. I have a few things to take care of myself."

Agreeing, Freya and Broken made their way to the nearby tavern, drawn by the sounds of music and laughter drifting through the busy streets. The tavern was a charming establishment, its rustic decor consisting of wooden beams, mismatched tables, and chairs that lent it a cozy, inviting atmosphere. Lanterns hung from the ceiling, casting a warm, golden glow over the room.

Inside, the tavern was packed with people, adventurers and townsfolk alike, each one animatedly recounting tales of their own exploits and misadventures. The air was filled with laughter, the clinking of tankards, and the soft melodies of minstrels playing cheerful tunes on their lutes. Everyone was having a grand time.

Freya and Broken found an empty table tucked in a quiet corner and settled in. Moments later, a friendly serving maid brought them plates piled high with delicious-looking food and frothy mugs of drinks. The aroma of grilled meat and freshly baked bread wafted up, making

their mouths water.

Freya smiled widely at Broken and let out a hearty chuckle. "I never miss a chance to take advantage of this game's specialty. To be able to eat without fear of being bloated-what an exquisite privilege of this century!" she exclaimed.

She grabbed a piece of grilled meat from her plate and devoured it with gusto as if she hadn't

eaten in days.

Broken grinned, lifting his wooden cup to take a sip of the cool drink. He nodded thoughtfully, his mind momentarily drifting. "I want Lily to experience this too."

"She will be able to join us soon enough!"

They ate heartily, savoring every bite. The grilled meat was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and tender, and the bread was warm and fresh.

Five adventurers, seemingly at level 150 judging by their gear, suddenly appeared around Broken and Freya as they ate and talked. An imposing figure with long, shining black hair lowered himself to meet Freya's gaze.

"I saw you earlier on the street, I can tell you're an archer," he said with a sly smile. "We needNôv(el)B\\jnn

an archer for our party. How about leaving your useless friend and joining us?" he said

confidently.

Freya suddenly sighed, clearly exasperated at having to deal with people like them.
