Chapter 103 - Like Old Days
Brione woke up feeling wonderful despite the soreness all over her body. Gavin was no longer in bed with her and she cursed when she looked at the wall clock and saw that it was almost lunchtime.
She ran towards the bathroom to take a quick shower and brush her teeth. She bit her lip as she noticed a lot of marks on her body. Her face reddened when she recalled how many times she and Gavin had made love last night. Their time together had been magnificent and every moment was memorable.
She found herself crying with elation,? for now, she is married to Gavin. She quickly wiped the tears, got dressed, and went looking for Gavin.
His place was spacious and also very private, she could not see anyone around. As she neared the living area, she heard the sound of the television. She quietly walked inside and saw Gavin watching the news. She hugged him from behind, over the back of the couch, and whispered, "Why did you leave me alone in bed?"
Gavin chuckled and removed her arms from his neck. He gestured, asking her to walk towards him and when she was close enough he suddenly pulled her onto his lap.
"You should be grateful that I restrained myself from keeping you company in bed or you would be sitting here cursing me for making you limp. I can't promise I can control myself for long, from taking you over and over again," Gavin whispered, as his lips rubbed her cheek and her neck, making her giggle.
"Before you eat me, can you first feed me, huh?" Brione teased.
Gavin let her go and said, "Alright, but only because you must be very hungry. Come, I have cooked brunch for you."
He held Brione by her hand and pulled her towards the dining area. He pulled out a chair for her and said, "Wait here while I serve your food, my Queen."
Brione shook her head and gave a loving smile as she watched Gavin walk away. She followed him into the kitchen. She hugged his back tightly and whispered, "Please, just stay like this for a minute. I just want to feel your warmth."
Gavin smiled and turned around to pull Brione in for a tight hug.
"We should face each other like this when we hug, Sweetheart," Gavin whispered as he gently stroked her silky hair. How he wished that they could spend more time together, just enjoying each other's company, without any worries.
"Ah, I want to take you away from all of this and imprison you somewhere with just me for company, Sweetheart! But there are a lot of things that I need to fix!" Gavin told her in a frustrated tone.
Brione heaved a long sigh and suggested, "I've been thinking. You are good friends with Keira Chan. Her father is the President of country D and her husband is the Field Marshal. We can trust them. I've become close to her through you. She was your co-anchor at News today, which was handled by Cooper Network. We can ask them for their help.
It would be best if we told them everything once we reach Country D. It might speed things up without having to involve the royal family too much. Your Father already has his hands full with other matters that require his more urgent attention, and I feel like it will be riskier if we, I mean if you, get your own people involved."
"Hmm, alright. If you trust her then let's meet her as soon as we arrive in country D. It's a good suggestion, Sweetheart. Olivia's brother is in danger and has been abducted. We are not sure if this incident has any connection to Duncan, or if the purpose is to destroy the Royal Family and take away their power." Gavin sighed. Brione was surprised to hear his concerns as Gavin had not mentioned anything last night.
"Let's eat first and we can talk about it later, Sweetheart. I wanted to ask you to meet with Olivia before we leave the country. Neither Will nor I can meet her as it would look suspicious. Olivia meeting you in public, may seem like a coincidence or unexpected meeting and will look a lot less suspicious," Gavin explained as he pulled her to sit on the kitchen counter.
"Let's just eat here," he whispered and started serving up the dishes he had prepared. He noticed an impish smile on Brione's face as she stared at the dishes which made him ask, "A penny for your thoughts, Sweetheart?"
"Hmm, I was just thinking that this feels just like the old days. You often cooked me breakfast before, much like these fish and vegetable dishes. You always ensured that I ate healthy food despite my hectic shooting schedules. I feel lucky that you bought the penthouse opposite mine. I could just barge in anytime I wanted."
Cedric chuckled and said, "And I bought another villa near your building. You can just choose where you would prefer to stay because there is no way you will be living alone, without me."
"Hmm, honestly, it doesn't matter. As long as you're with me I'm willing to stay wherever you want." Brione answered bashfully.
Gavin leaned forward to give Brione one splendid kiss as he whispered, "I love you and always will."
"Me too…" Brione whispered lovingly and leaned closer for the kiss.
They paused when both of them heard her stomach rumbling. Both chuckled and Gavin said, "Go on and eat."
He even deboned the fish for her and started feeding her with his hands. Brione just enjoyed the pampering of her best friend turned lover. She was sure, her brother and sister-in-law had cried with joy the moment they heard the news.
She gasped as she recalled Berry and Mitch. She looked at Gavin and asked, "How about Mitch and Berry? Also the rest of the staff here with me at Perdu Island? I mean it will be very confusing for them when you return as Gavin Wu?"
"Hmm, let them be confused for now. They are, anyway, not allowed to talk about Prince Cedric and they have already signed an agreement. I think it's best we keep things from them until we resolve everything." Gavin commented and Brione nodded in agreement.
