Journey Towards Greatness

Chapter 1298: The Hunted Pokemon

Chapter 1298: The Hunted Pokemon

Julian's hunt for a suitable pokemon continues but it is harder than he expected, it is not that he has not found any suitable pokemons, it's just that he has become very picky with his choices.

It can take any pokemon and train them to heights that no other pokemon can reach, but he will always be left wondering if he had a pokemon with more potential, how much stronger it would have been.

And that is why Julian's desire to catch exceptional pokemon was born. He wants to see how strong a pokemon can really get.

Julian continued to search for hours, both for totem den and a fitting pokemon for him to raise, but he found no success in either of them.

The sun was about to set, and Julian has set up a camp to rest for a while. His Charizard has been flying all day, and he needs some rest. He also needs to train his pokemons as they have not trained today.

Julian sits on his foldable chair right next to his portable cooking gadgets and watched his young pokemons do some intense physical training while his older pokemons just sat there doing their own thing.

Julian decided to spend the night here out in the forest tonight, as he missed the smell of camping overnight in the middle of the forest.

Time passed and night fell. The forest became livelier than ever as the sound of pokemons echoed throughout the night.

Julian fed his pokemon and then set up his tent and went to sleep. It didn't take him long to fall asleep in the midst of the pleasant sound of the forest.

While Julian slept, Gengar, who always keeps his eye around Julian's surroundings, felt something, an aura familiar to him he has not felt for quite a while.

Gengar came out of Julian's shadow and phased out of his tent, and looked in a certain direction deep inside the forest. Gengar then phased into the ground and disappeared into the dark night.

A few kilometers away from where Julian has set up his camp, members of cipher are carefully combing down the area around them as if they are searching for something.

These cipher members also seem to be different from the ones Julian has encountered. Instead of wearing their signature silver and black uniform, these guys have only black donned on their uniform with the visor on their helmet being red.

Their uniform also seems to be fitted with better armor for their protection.

Their number is not big, only four of them, but the way they move and communicate with each other indicates that they are well-trained and coordinated with each other. This can only be achieved with experience and hard training, and these four seem to be no joke.

"I can't believe we were ordered to come all the way here just to hunt a second-rate legendary pokemon."

One of them spoke in disdain. It was as if hunting a second-rate legendary pokemon was insulting to them.

"Don't complain, as per the report. This one is a little special, even though it's weak, its energy is very potent, and the leader wants it captured for further studies. He believes that learning how to implement energy like this pokemon will increase the chance of shadowfying even legendary pokemons".

The leader, who is in front of the group, spoke softly and moved toward the direction where his device is pointing at.

His team consists of four people, two men, him and the one that spoke before, and two women who have remained quiet the whole time. The only thing they are concerned about is completing the mission that was handed to them.

"How far is it?"

One of the women asked, as they were not getting closer to their target.

"It's close by, we just need to corner it and capture it"

The leader spoke as they marched closer to their target, then the leader suddenly stopped and raised his hand, signaling the others to stop as well.

In the dead of the night, the sound of insect pokemons covered the whole surrounding, but the leader's eyes are locked onto a particular tree, especially its shadow.

He then suddenly pulled out a gun-like weapon and shot an energy blast at the shadow, forcing the pokemon hiding in it to come out into the opening.

The pokemon isn't big and only stands about 2 feet tall.

The four cipher members looked at the pokemon and took out their Pokeball and called out their pokemon. All four of them sent bug-type pokemons as bug-type moves are extremely effective against the pokemon that is in front of them.

The four pokemons are Scizor, Vespiquen, Scolipede, and Volcarona.

All four of these pokemons are extremely strong, way stronger than any pokemon Julian has come across when he faced cipher on his own.

The pokemon they are trying to capture was worried. It has been running from them for quite a while and now it seems to have been cornered.

It has no other option but to fight.

It got in a stance with its little arm raised, ready to fight.
