Journey Towards Greatness

Chapter 1280: The Meeting Of The Kings (1)

Chapter 1280: The Meeting Of The Kings (1)

Kingdra thought it would have a hard time finding this Gyarados, but on its way, it encountered one of its followers which led him to where Gyarados was last seen.

And when Kingdra got it, it saw the massive red Gyarados sleeping peacefully.

Kingdra [Looks like the rumors are true]

The Kingdra thought as it looked at Gyarados with hostility in its eyes. It was angrier at Gyarados than being concerned about his size and strength.

The reason is that Gyarados is sleeping on Kingdra's spot, being the king of the water around Melemele island, Kingdra is very territorial like every other king pokemon so it doesn't like seeing Gyarados occupying its spot.

It wants to get rid of Gyarados but it is also smart enough to know that this Gyarados is very strong and attacking it right now would be suicidal.

As Kingdra continued to send death glares at Gyarados, it noticed Gyarados lift his head and look at it. This startled Kingdra as it didn't expect Gyarados to actually find it, even though it is very far away from Gyarados.

But Gyarados' next action surprised it even more as it saw Gyarados going back to sleep and completely ignoring Kingdra's existence.

Kingdra thought Gyarados would charge at it and attack it but he didn't, and for some reason, Kingdra felt humiliated.

It could tell that Gyarados ignored it because he found Kingdra weak and this was a slap to Kingdra's face.

Being the top predator of these waters, Kingdra has its pride and it won't allow anyone or anything to trample on it.

Kingdra [Just you wait, I will make sure to get rid of you]

Kingdra promised itself and swam away to build a team of strong pokemons.

Realizing that it is not going to be an easy task, it knew it has to bring in all the kings of the sea to take out this Gyarados.

The only problem is that he doesn't know how the other kings will react to his offer. They might join in and try to chase Gyarados away or they might just ignore Kingdra and let Gyarados deal with it.

The only one Kingdra can rely on is Samurott because its territory is equally in danger, as a massive pokemon like Gyarados can easily traverse around Melemele and Akala islands in a day.

Kingdra and Samurott definitely have the largest stake in this scenario and they will have to fight for their territory against this Gyarados.

Kingdra quickly rushed towards Akala island to inform Samurott. Samurott noticed the arrival of Kingdra on the borders of Akala island so it quickly swam towards Kingdra to figure out what is happening.

Samurott watched as Kingdra approached it and it could already guess what happened seeing how fast Kingdra is approaching it.

Samurott [Is it true?]

Samurott asked.

Kingdra [It is. That Gyarados is massive and shiny. We will need all the help we can get. We should ask the other two for help.]

Samurott [But will they help?]

Kingdra [They will have to. Sooner or later that thing will move into their territory and I promise you, they will not be able to handle it all on their own. They will need our help.

Samurott [Fine, but who should we approach first?]

Kingdra [Let's go to Poni island first. Even though that bastard is very arrogant, he fears losing his territory the most. It will be easy to convince him.]

Samurott [Make sense, let's go then]

Both Kingdra and Samurott quickly made their way to Poni island and as soon as they crossed the water border separating the two islands, an Ice Beam that was hurled in their way greeted them.

Being experienced and powerful pokemon, they sensed and dodged it before the Ice Beam could even hit them. The Ice beam that landed on the water completely froze the water, creating a floating ice field.

[What are you two idiots doing here?]

Both Kingdra and Samurott heard a growl, so they lifted their heads and looked at their attacker. Their attacker is the pokemon Golisopod, and it is one of the kings of the sea here in the region of Alola.

Kingdra [We are here to ask for cooperation from you.

Kingdra spoke first.

Golisopod [cooperation? What bullshit are you spewing?]

Golisopod retorted, as it doesn't believe these intruders who just entered its territory without its permission.

Samurott [You must have heard about the intruder that has just entered our waters, right?]

Golisopod [Yes, I have. What about it?]

Samurott [We are planning to team up and get rid of it.]

Golisopod [Why would I even do that? It's not my problem, and it's not in my territory. Go and deal with it on your own.]

It answered and tried to chase away these intruders as it still felt threatened by their existence here. It is confident in its ability to fight one of them, but if both of them attack at the same time, it knows it will have to run away and abandon its territory.

Kingdra [It won't just be our problem. If we don't take action right now, we all will lose our territory]

Kingdra intervened and warned Golisopod.

Golisopod [What do you mean? What is this thing that has you both riled up so much?]

Golisopod became a little wary as he saw these two kings come together and ask for assistance. It knows these two don't get along, but these two coming together to remove this intruder is enough of a warning for Golisopod to become wary and take action.

But before it does anything, it needs to know what's going on.
