Chapter 3.2
Chapter 3.2
Ji Qingying could be considered as an old-fashioned person.
Her preference for the cheongsam was due to her childhood exposure, and for various reasons, she had always felt in her heart that the cheongsam was no worse than other fashionable clothing and that it had its own unique beauty.
While she didn't think she was that great that she could make the fadingly forgotten cheongsam culture circulate again, she had to agree that she did want to bring cheongsams back within the reach of everyone.
Regardless of the intensity of the spreading, she just wanted to show everyone how beautiful the cheongsam really was.
Thinking about it, Ji Qingying smiled helplessly and said, "If I recall correctly, Director Guan has studied psychology, right?"
Hearing her words, Director Guan laughed out loud, "As long as it can impress Miss Ji."
He remarked, "I've scoured a lot of designer profiles, but you're the most special."
Ji Qingying pondered for a few seconds and looked up at him, "Well."
She admitted, "I do want to promote the cheongsam more widely, too."
Nodding his head off, Director Guan affirmed, "You are welcome to try it."
"Thanks."
The clauses of the contract were immediately decided, and it seemed that Director Guan had come prepared.
After Ji Qingying agreed, an assistant brought the contract directly to them.
There were no problems with the contract, and some of Ji Qingying's previous worries were all assured.
She believed in the director in front of her and in herself.
Soon after, Ji Qingying signed it directly.
After the contract was signed, Ji Qingying talked to Director Guan about the costume requirements of the characters in the drama.
The effect that Director Guan wanted to present was transmitted to her one after another.
And she also had her own understanding.
By the time it was all settled, it was already late in the afternoon.
The sun was setting and the orange-colored glowing clouds somehow looked especially beautiful.
Ji Qingying refused to be escorted by Director Guan and hitched a cab on the side of the road by herself.
"Miss, where to?"
The driver turned around and gave her a surprised look, his eyes stuck on her clothes.
Ji Qingying was not surprised, nor did she show any particular expression either.
She smiled faintly and whispered, "Go to the First National Hospital."
The driver came back to his senses and hurriedly responded, "Okay."
The car was quiet and the driver was probably bored and tried to make small talk with her.
"Are you going to visit a friend?"
Ji Qingying blandly said, "No."
The driver looked her in the eye and tried to say something, but Ji Qingying had already dropped her eyes to look at her phone.
Chen Xinyu had sent her a number of messages in the afternoon, and after sending her a message back, Ji Qingying tilted her head, staring out the window at the scenery, dazed.
It was around half past six by the time she arrived at the hospital.
When Ji Qingying emerged from the cab, she attracted the attention of countless people.
She didn't feel much and lowered her head and walked inside.
Last night, she only asked which department Fu Yanzhi was in, but forgot to ask exactly where it was.
Ji Qingying stood there and thought about it, suddenly regretting it a bit.
It was like a maze here, too confusing.
She was thinking about it when there was a sudden shout from a short distance away.
"Miss Ji?"
Ji Qingying was stunned, looking over with her phone in hand.
It was Lin Haoran.
The two looked at each other, and Lin Haoran came over first.
"What brings you to the hospital, is there anything wrong?"
Ji Qingying shook her head and looked at him, "What a coincidence."
Then she asked, "You're off duty?"
Lin Haoran nodded, "Right." He laughed and suggested, "Of course, if Miss Ji needs help with something, I can always be off duty."
Upon hearing that, Ji Qingying smiled, "There is indeed something, I came to find Doctor Fu."
She bluntly continued, "Is he off duty yet?"
Lin Haoran: ""
It was as if a knife had been plunged into his heart.
But looking at the great beauty in front of him, Lin Haoran couldn't refuse to say anything.
"No."
He added, "He should still be in his office." Saying that, he asked, "Should I give him a call?"
"Will it bother him?"
"No."
Lin Haoran said calmly, "I'm sure he's not busy if he can answer, but if he doesn't, then he should be performing a surgery, and you shouldn't wait here. They operate irregularly, a few hours for a short one, and if it's long, it might take around ten or twelve hours at a time."
Ji Qingying nodded and exhaled a breath, "That long?"
"No way, that's just when he's operating outside the heart."
Lin Haoran made a phone call that went unanswered.
He put down his phone and looked at Ji Qingying. With a smile he said, "Why don't I send you a message next time when he's not performing surgery?"
"It's okay."
Ji Qingying refused evenly, "Thank you."
Lin Haoran was no pushover either.
They chatted for a few moments, and Ji Qingying thoughtfully asked, "So don't they eat?"
Lin Haoran was stunned and said with a smile, "Doctors are like that, they're busy and have indeterminate meals, so someone will order a meal delivered to them when they get off surgery."
"Ah"
Ji Qingying was silent for a few seconds and looked at him, "Can I send it then?"
Lin Haoran felt so stupid.
Good.
His heart was completely broken and couldn't be brought together at all now.
"You can."
He gritted his teeth, "I'll take you to his department, then?"
Ji Qingying was a bit impressed, and after making sure she wouldn't disturb anyone's work, she followed Lin Haoran.
Lin Haoran was such a nice friend, interesting to talk to, and wouldn't make anyone feel awkward.
Even though he knew that Ji Qingying was here to find Fu Yanzhi, he didn't show any displeasure and was even a little enthusiastic.
There were a number of patients and family members outside when they passed.
Lin Haoran was familiar with the nurse-doctors in Fu Yanzhi's department, and several of them had already greeted him along the way.
