It Seems Like I Got Transmigrated Into An Eroge

Chapter 41: The Bunny Detective

Chapter 41: The Bunny Detective

Short story, while trying to pass time for the aphrodisiac to subside. I stumble across a woman with bunny ears wearing an obnoxious outfit that resembles something similar to Sh*rlock H*lmes. Since she’s a stranger, I threatened her because of the threat that lurks between Duke Valentin and Lily. I’m taking precautionary actions.

However, things went dark real quick. Apparently, the bunny girl is a detective that said to be working for the Maiveil Law Enforcement Department and was sent to investigate the case with Lily. I don’t buy that shit. Afterward, the real horror transpired.

When she requested for my hair to prove something to me, I gave her a chance on that one. But soon after, she killed herself in front of me.

Right now, I’m gawking at the corpse of the bunny woman lying on the ground.

“What the heck...?”

I can’t even properly convey how perplexed I am right now. Rinna, the dead girl in front of me, suddenly killed herself for no apparent reason. She just did it. And what’s the hair for?

I crouch to my knees, inspecting the corpse. As I was about to touch it, the corpse suddenly flinch. It goes without saying; I fell on my butt because of that.

“W-What the—! I-It’s moving!”

“Puha—!”

“Waaah!”

The corpse suddenly came back alive!

“It’s a zombie!” I yelled and reflexively swing my fist at her, which she evaded.

“Kyaaah! What are you doing! I’m alive!”

“Nah-uh... Wait...”

Then I notice the wound on her was gone. I squint my eyes and rub them, observing if I’m just tripping or not. The small hole was gone completely; however, the blood remained that’s still on her cloth and some of it on her hair.

“H-How? W-What are you...”

Out of fear, I unconsciously summon [Solais] in my hand and point it to her.

“Wait-wait! Let me explain! Can I? Please! It’s my spirit skill! It lets me see the past for a certain amount of time! I saw you getting kissed by a maid! And, you were jer— Mmh!”

“Hold up!”

Before she could say anything, I covered her mouth with my other hand.

"Say no more. I believe you.” I said embarrassingly.

Then I slowly pull my hand out of her mouth.

“Then—”

“But, that doesn’t mean I can trust you yet. Just because you showed what you can do, that doesn’t mean I can guarantee you’re telling the truth.”

“Whaaaat?! Wait! I’m with Stephanie! I have Saintess Irene’s permission to go and I went along with a girl named Stephanie! But, somewhere along the way, we got separated.”

“Wait a minute... You just said, Stephanie?”

“Yeah! She’s a woman with black hair and round eyes, wearing a yellow summer dress. The one with a bad temper and always grumpy. Out of nowhere, she just disappeared and I’ve been searching for her. Wait here! Saintess Irene told me to hand this out.”

Rinna pulls a necklace from her coat. A familiar necklace that Master Irene gave to us last time. Seeing that, I can guarantee that she’s a real deal; however, isn’t she too young to be a detective? At the age of 16? What?

“Why didn't you just said told me that, instead of... I don't want to talk about it..."

“I forgot, tehe~"

'This girl!'

"Haah... Fine... But once Stephanie doesn't know you..."

"Yey~!"

Rinna was jumping happily at my response, celebrating despite threatening her. She looks ridiculous. However, there are more pressuring matters because of the people who are hiding.

I'm sensing the people hiding in the trees since the beginning. They’ve been waiting on the branches of the tree patiently, seemingly waiting for us to move. I still had some doubts, but Stephanie didn’t mention anything about this girl. The necklace says it all and the description she said about Stephanie is all correct.

Now that I think about it, this girl looks familiar.

Bunny...

Bunny Detective.

Where did I hear that?

I lean closer to the head of Rinna, and in response, she backs away from me.

“Don’t move. Go hide behind the trees, okay?” I whispered to her.

“Eh?”

“Just do what I said.”

“Okay...”

Rinna stands from the ground and walks away from me while glancing at me from time to time. When I saw her at a reasonable distance.

“Hoooo...”

I let a breath out, relaxing my muscles. Master Irene detailedly explained that letting loose helps my muscle to not build tension and to not restrict my movements.

The hand that’s gripping my sword trembles for some unknown reason. I let out a breath again to relax my mind and body.

“Hoooo...”

There are ten people hiding above the trees, two people on each tree all distant apart from each other. I haven’t fully grasped my spatial awareness to use as an advantage point for my [Shifting Point], so I lock my gaze on the far end of the tree where I saw two humanoid figures dressed in black hiding behind the tree on a branch.

They all notice my gaze staring at them; it startled them.

“Who are you?” I asked.

They all draw their weapons out to answer my question.

[Shifting Point]

I teleport myself behind the two people who are far away from them. They didn’t notice me. I thrust the tip of my sword at their back, stabbing both of them, then I twist my sword upward vertically slicing their upper body in half.

Two out of ten.

It was too quick for them to make any noise, but one of their companions on my right notices me.

“Laust! Ander—!”

[Shifting Point]

I slice the head of that person, shutting his mouth completely. The person in front got startled and tries to attack me by striking me with a dagger, which I avoid by teleporting behind him and striking him; the two falls from the tree. While the two are falling, I sent a spear to one of them, impaling that person in the ground.

Four out of ten.

A sharp cleave wind was approaching me, but I easily fend it off with my sword. After that, they all rush to me with gruesome killing intent. They all attack me with their spirits abilities, but they all miss because I teleport above one of them and kick the branch as leverage to thrust my sword in between its shoulder and neck of that person, shoving it to the ground.

Five out of ten.

I cast my gaze above. They’re all in the air circling me. Suddenly, something below me caught my feet, ensnaring me on the ground. Surely, they already figure out my ability at this point, but they’re not using their brains properly.

[Shifting Point]

Teleporting myself away on the side of the trees and kick it, accelerating toward the direction of one of the masked guys. Then sending three spears to the three people, and it misses because of my horrendous control and accuracy.

That person notices and tries to evade by moving on the side, but I’m not planning on striking him with my blade because a dark violet burning cleave shut out of my blade. It’s wide enough for the person to be caught by it.

[Walpurgis Hollow]

From my above, a person was holding a dagger in a motion of a strike. Since I’m still in motion from earlier, I put my left hand on the ground and kick that person in the torso, but as an exchange, I got cut in the knee, slicing my right knee patella tendon cleanly. He took advantage of my kick.

“Aakh...” I groaned.

As I was about to pull my left hand, I’m getting pull-down below to the ground. Unaware of what’s incoming, someone stabs me on the right side of my torso. I glance at the person who stabs me. I saw a smile blooming on its face underneath its mask like a maniac. It had green skin with a similar facial structure to a human.

“Hehehehe~”

When I saw that, a sensation inside had just died like it suddenly just disappears within my chest.

“Overload.”

After muttering it, the person who stabs me got blown away from the explosiveness of my quintessence. When that person who stabs me was send flying, I teleport behind him before crushing on the tree with the tip of my sword waiting for him.

The sound of a blade penetrating the heart of a person resounds to my ears along with its agonizing cries.

“Ack—! Aaaah!”

[Walpurgis Hollow]

Using it, I pull my sword out of its chest and watch it burn alive right before me. The sound of its misery was pleasing to hear. Shortly, I lock my gaze on the remaining four assassins who are petrified and slowly backing away from me. Standing in there, I summon four spears around me with a wicked smile display.

Six out of ten.

Without wasting any time, I teleport myself to them and killing the remaining four mercilessly while only using only my left leg. The screams and cries of their misery reverberated throughout the forest. Forgetting the miserable feeling of killing a person.

“Huff... Huff... Hooo...”

I lean myself to a nearby tree, breathing roughly, after killing all the assassins.

“Wow, you’re actually skilled, huh? Never doubt the disciple of the Saintess Irene!”

Rinna appears right beside me with an amusing face.

‘What’s her problem?’

“What’s with the amusing face?” I said gruntingly.

“Why are you angry? I’m praising you for killing them. You don’t see a normal person who would kill ten people by himself despite getting wounded in the knee. I’m amazed.”

“Are you a fucking psychopath?”

“Huh?! I’m the justice!” Rinna yelled.

That seems familiar... I heard that phrase somewhere...

Justice...

Bunny...

Detective...

The Bunny Detective? One of the heroines?
