[Eon's POV: ]

No one knew where that voice came from, no one understood what the strange energy they were feeling was, and no one knew why they suddenly felt that strange sensation just now.

But, they knew what they had just felt was not something simple. And, the voice that we all heard was something that perhaps every single person in the world might have heard at least once indirectly.

{ "..." }

It was a distinct voice.

And, just like me, the others also heard it as if it had come from very close.

It almost felt like the person that had said it was sitting right before me, but, in fact… the person this voice belonged to was not directly present in this conference.

[{ "Hey… Eon…" }]

[{ "Yeah. It's him…" }]

The best knight in the entire world, the strongest sword wielder, the man who surpassed heavens with his sheer will and passion, the one who possessed a unique aura like mine, the man who was well known with many of his titles… he was the first seat of house of prism, he was the master of adventurer's association, and he was the only known knight holding the honourable title of [{( Saint )}] in this era.

-Ooooooooong.

"Even I believe this is important, so let us just hear them out."

[{ "Yes. I'm sure." }]

There was no doubt about it.

This was the voice of Sword Saint Alexander.

The person who held a similar position in this world as the headmaster.

'Though he isn't present here physically…'

Somehow, he is able to transmit his voice in this place.

Perhaps there was a medium that he was using to do this, but the fact that he was not here was still the main thing.

'A saint…'

Master was also a saint, someone who had reached the pinnacle of their arts and had achieved a complete mastery of their origin.

But, unlike my master who was also a divine beast, Sir Alexander was a human. A normal human who was said to have awakened his aura when he was much older than me.

He was famous all throughout the world for his numerous achievements.

'He was not here himself, he was not someone who could be present among mortals for long anymore.'

Being an actual Saint, not the saint of Temple or some religion but the saint of this nature, was a unique position akin to the higher beings.

Just like people like the headmaster, he also possessed divinity. But his deep connection with the origin made his powers a little too great for the normal people like the many in this conference.

Even if he did not want to, without the proper control over his powers, he might hurt someone.

'He was training his powers, gaining control over them while staying away from the world that he cherished so much.'

We all knew how he had not attended many of the conferences that had happened in the past many years, not many people had heard from him in a long time either.

But, the voice that we were hearing right now belonged to him. His deep voice was so unique that just listening to him reminded one of the glorious achievements that he had made in his short mortal time in this world.

'He was away, yet, if it weren't for him, this world would have faced countless cataclysmic disasters every so often.'

I wanted to meet him at least one day, every single person here including the headmaster perhaps wanted to meet him and perhaps learn from him if they got the opportunity.

He was a person that perhaps most people in the world respected, so… if someone like him was telling the rest of them to calm down, they had no choice but to do so even against their most basic instincts.

{ "Then… I will continue." }

The fact that he was speaking right now meant he was watching all of this as well.

And if he was watching, then the rest of them knew just how much more careful they would have to be with their words now.

'The position that he held was as important as the position of the headmaster, but unlike the restricted headmaster who followed a lot of rules and had his own values and moral bounds, this person was not tied by anything.'

He held one of the highest authoritative positions in the entire world and even the surrounding planets and the connected realms. And yet, he was free to do practically whatever he wanted.

{ "From the north, as we can see here, the current queen…" }

If he wanted, he could destroy any nation off of the map with his sheer powers, and if he did not want to use powers, just using his position as the master of the adventurer's association, the biggest association in both size and connections, he could destroy any nation that the representatives present here cherished.

There would of course be consequences to that, but there really isn't much they would be able to do to him since… As everyone knows, the Sword Saint is so kind that he would not hurt even the most heinous criminal until he had a reason to do so.

He was powerful beyond mortal limitations, but, he was also a Saint. One of the very few that had ever been present in nature, and in this physical world.

{ "I understand accepting the fact that the people that you have been with in the toughest times of your life, people that you are close with, people that you know little about, but are somehow connected with… just thinking that they would be somehow connected with some evil cult that wants to destroy the world sounds wrong and unreasonable, but, I'm just here to present the facts." }

From the current queens of some nations, to the prime ministers and presidents. From the people that were part of the closest guard units of the individuals present to the common citizens that have been living in their nations for decades.

The cult had spread so deep into human society that it was not impossible to distinguish them from the common people of this world.

At one glance, you would think that the people that you are with are just like any normal person and that they are somehow nothing special, but if you check their background, somehow look past their cover and see the demonic energy nestled deep within them… when you see how they are somehow even deeply rooted in the world than the Rakshasas of the world, then shock would be a small thing that they will be feeling.

{ "They are practically everywhere." }

They are and I am not even exaggerating.

Celes could sense them, we had developed tech that could distinguish between them and the normal people, and now we are trying what we can to find the people that might be connected with this cult and do not possess the demonic energy.

We knew the cult was after world destruction, and doing it was no small thing.

They could not do it with sheer strength, they already possessed it and they knew using it would only result in a small war, nothing more.

What they were after was the complete destruction of the nations, nature, and the world. And to do that, they had gone as deep into the system as any larva possibly could.

'And now, they are in the phase of metamorphosis.'

That is the reason I placed this section before the section where the effects of their presence to nature and the other worldly elements is shown.

'I don't want to say it… but however they did it, they have already achieved a lot of what they wanted.'

They became an integral part of the world. They created a system that was so deep even we had not been able to decode it.

They operated in such a way that made it impossible for us to pinpoint even the base of their low ranking leaders.

'We did not know where the 'bishops' of their cult were, much less the pope.'

And then there were the people behind the pope that were said to possess power as immense as the higher beings.

'One would think this is funny and that one could just deal with them if they could deal with the leaders of the entirety of the cult.'

That would have been possible had they been something simple… but, they were not an army.

They were not a force, they were a cult.

Most of the people that followed them were absolutely loyal to their teachings and were indoctrinated to follow what they were taught.

The way their system was engraved in them made it possible for them to penetrate even the most important part of this world.

The reason they were everywhere was not because they were strong or even because they possessed a unique kind of demonic power.

They were strong because what they were doing was so good even the finest art might be incomparable to it.

And, they had been doing it for a very, very… very long time.

{ "I am in no position to offer any words of comfort. These are facts that we gathered with much difficulty, and I was only supposed to be here to present these facts." }

I may have power in various forms, but I do not have any legitimacy like all of them, so there is no authority that I hold when it comes to worldly matters.

I am not even a simple noble of the empire, much less someone holding important positions like them.

Still…

{ "I am sure all of us here still have many questions, so now that we are done, after the questions, if everyone wants to, we can directly continue with the next part of the presentation where we would like to suggest you how you can, at the very least, deal with this situation in a proper manner." }

We will also cover the impact of these beings on nature, so Rein will get the stage for that section. But still, what I will suggest now might not be something all of them will like.

Especially some of the angrier people who… well, are feeling betrayed.

Which is only natural, actually.
