Chapter 215 - Holy Relic Retrieved?

Time seemed to slow as Burge stretched his hand towards the falling dead pigeon.

At his back, Emon's face was twisted while his hands were also stretched towards the dead pigeon.

Further to the back, Dexter's face was contorted in pain as Damian choked his neck with his elbow that was bulging with muscles.

The falling pigeon already has half of its feathers gone. It had almost gone bald and can even be roasted immediately.

Swoosh!

As time resumed to flow normally, Burge's outstretched hand grasped the pigeon accurately. The neck was gripped so tightly that one could hear crackling noise coming out of it.

"Gotcha!" A wide smile appeared on Burge's mouth.

"Huh? Something is wrong!" A foreboding feeling rose on his heart again as he noticed a black figure passing him.

"Wait the white cloth was no longer here! Damn it!" As he realized this, it was already too late.

He focused his eyes on his front and saw Emon's hand was still stretched towards a particular spot where the feathers had fallen.

'Bingo!' It was now Emon's turn to have a wide smile painted on his face.

He gripped the white cloth and swiftly evaded the incoming kick from behind him. He didn't waste the opportunity to jump further away. He then hopped towards a tree, increasing the distance between him and Burge even more.

'Fuck! I got careless!' Burge said inside his head.

Far away, Emon has a wide evil grin in contrast to his silent personality. He held the piece of cloth high in the air, treating it as if a holy relic bestowed by the Gods.

"I see! I see! Amazing! What a relief!" He repeated as the grin on his grew wider.

After reading the 'holy script', Emon didn't waste any more time as he tore it into pieces.

He then sprinkled it in the air, the debris flying down towards Burge's contorted face.

"Dexter! Fight all you want, we already have the permission! We can go all out!" Emon shouted towards Dexter who was still choked by Damian's bulging muscles.

Hearing that, Dexter's face that was full of pain had somewhat eased a bit. 'I don't know what you have seen on that trashy piece of cloth, and I was already going all out from the start, but if you mean getting this muscle freak busy, I got it!'

As he said that, he suddenly stomped his foot to the ground.

With a burst of strength, Dexter was able to get up carrying Damian who was still choking him from the back.

Another burst of strength occurred as Dexter forcefully flipped Damian towards the ground.

The ground cracked even more as Damian's huge body was smashed into it.

Using the opportunity, Dexter jumped out of Damian's reach, afraid that his foot would be snatched again.

"Hoo! Haa!" With a heave-ho, Damian made a back stand as he tidied himself from the dirt.

He stared at Dexter before moving his head towards Burge. He was awaiting his instruction.

Burge glanced over and saw Damian's questioning gaze. He took a glance at the pleased Emon before shaking his head.

He was the cause of the mishap so he felt the need to correct it immediately.

He was certain before that Emon still has some reservations while fighting them, it was supposed to be an advantage for them but he didn't take that for granted.

And now, Emon had already found his resolve. 'This will be a tough fight!'

"No matter what was written in that piece of cloth, this is not a fantasy where one could gain strength right away from reading a certain script. Same as before, but we have to kill this time." Burge cracked his neck as he gripped the blunt weapon in his hand.

"Ok, got it!" Damian replied.

Rumble! Rumble!

As Damian affirmed, he suddenly shook the blunt weapon he was holding. Burge also did the same thing.

Seconds later, the blunt weapons they were holding suddenly had pieces falling to the ground one by one.

Not long after, all of the 'dead' pieces had already fallen to the ground.

Like a molting snake, a butterfly coming out from its cocoon, their blunt weapons became a glossy sharp sword.

The sword they were holding looks like it was just oiled by something dangerous.

Even after seeing that, Emon still has a wide grin painted on his face. Dexter on the other hand was already shaking inside him.

It seems that no matter how you act tough, if you sense danger, your true color will always show.

"Damian, let's finish this instantly before my foreboding feeling comes true!"

"Got it, be sure to kill that guy nicely. I'm so pissed off by that grin on his face." Damian scowled as he pointed his hands towards Emon who was still up in the tree branch.

"Hmmp! No need to worry, I'm pretty pissed off myself!"

Swoosh!

Burge's body created a slight blur as he disappeared from where stood from before. Instantly, he reappeared not far from the tree that Emon was on.

Holding the glossy sword, he leaped high in the air arriving directly at Emon's side.

Without any warning, he slashed the glossy sword towards Emon's neck.

When he was certain that it should hit, Burge realized that Emon had already leaned backward.

At the same time, Emon gripped the black knife he was holding and stabbed it towards Burge's open and masculinized chest.

Burge noticed it and instantly retracted the sword to parry the incoming knife. Using the same momentum, he pushed the knife away before kicking Emon's legs.

The kick connected and hit Emon's lower knee but it seems that he didn't take much damage as he managed to shift the angle of his knee at the last second.

Realizing that he was at an advantage, Burge keeps on pressuring Emon by hitting him with a kick.

'This guy knows how to use his knife well. Every time I wanted to hack him with my sword, he would also attack, forcing me to take it back and parry his knife.'

"Annoying mother fucker!"
