Chapter 53: Middle Foundation Establishment Realm
...…
Everyone was beginning to think that things were far better before the young General came into power, as although they had some casualties back then, at least they had something to kill.
Whereas right now, all of them might as well be taking naps in their armors as they watch their General take out thousands of high-level Monsters like he was simply trimming the weeds…
"Maybe we should resign, sir."
The Lieutenant spoke with a dejected tone as he saw the last of the current Monster Horde wave get wiped out in the blink of an eye.
"..."
The second-in-command officer looked at his subordinate while flipping his gaze toward his General and then back toward his Lieutenant. He muttered, "Maybe we should…"
All of the soldiers were thinking similar things, as they spread out on top of the dark gray cobblestone wall, attempting to discern some form of use they had when someone like their General existed…
On the other hand, two young women were watching the young General domineeringly strike down everything in sight with enamored looks on their faces.
They were flashing looks that indicated the overwhelming affection they felt while staring at the one they love display his power in front of an entire city of powerhouses.
"I want to become stronger right now, sister Lan Yue…" You Mie mumbled, faint hearts forming inside those enticing purple eyes of hers.
"Same…" Lan Yue responded with a similar glean in her gaze. Her eyes never left the black and red flash of light that seemed so far out of reach.
It wasn't even the distance between them that made not only Lan Yue feel this, but You Mie as well…
There was just something that told them Azmodeus would always be so far out of their grasp, and that gap would only widen further and further over time.
In their eyes, he was like a dazzling and resplendent star that shot through the night sky—something forever out of touch for mere mortals…
The star in question was speeding back to the city walls of Yellowcreek right at this very moment, seemingly lost in his own world like usual.
The reason for this disillusioned appearance of his was because of the constantly ringing system notifications going off inside his head.
BLING!

"Assimilate for stats," Azmodeus replied with a soft voice.

*Ding!* *Your overall combat power has exponentially improved!*
Following all of the various pop-ups, he decided to check up on his system interface while conversing with the two passionate fangirls and the plethora of despondent and mildly depressed soldiers.
He opted to take a quick break before those ten absurdly powerful auras fully awakened.
BLING!

Azmodeus perused his system interface for a few moments while realizing that he hadn't really spent any Evolution Essence over the last period of time.
He thought the matter over for a second and realized that he truly hadn't spent much of anything besides when he got into a tight spot.
Most of his cultivation came from the boons gained from making use of his Cultivation Talent Stat.
Which was all to say that the amount of Evolution Essence he had in stock was enough to level up a multitude of times and still have enough left over to improve a few of his most used Traits.
However, since he didn't necessarily need to do something like that at this point in time, he figured he'd save it all for when he truly needed it.
...
A few hours passed by in the blink of an eye.
The absurdly powerful beasts in the depths of the Great Seperado Forest were beginning to awaken...
They started moving around their enormous bodies, getting a good feel for their power. Before all of a sudden, every single one of their building-sized eyes locked in on a rapidly approaching flash of light in the distance.
FWIP!
A figure around 5'11 with a stern gaze and a hardened expression appeared before all of the enormous beast's, locking eyes with the largest of the group.
The largest one was a giant gorilla-like monster with tower-sized black spiraling horns on its head and two arms that contained a nigh endless number of black and red spikes.
This beast was, in every sense of the word, a 'monstrosity'.
However, that wasn't enough to deter Azmodeus, as he lifted his hands in the air before summoning forth an utterly ridiculous amount of Qi!
"I know you have some modicum of intelligence. And it is with this knowledge that I ask you—" He clenched his sword tighter than before. "—Are you truly ready for what's about to happen to you…?"
His emotionless words resounded, entering the ears of the gorilla monster.
"...."
The beast looked down at the ant with its primitive gaze. It said, "Human… Not welcome here… Go back from where you came…"
It was clear that the gorilla wasn't used to speaking the language of humans, as it spoke in short bursts, and in a tone that sounded almost alien.
Azmodeus looked up at the far larger eyes of the beast before lightly shrugging his shoulders and responding, "I'm sorry, but I can't do that."
Following his words, his figure blurred as he appeared in front of the gorilla's devilish face.
"Human… Wishes to fight…? Human will die…" The gorilla spoke with deadly intent oozing out of its voice.
After which, it leaped up into the sky, narrowly dodging a black and crimson blade that was aimed at its throat.
BOOOM!
The ground cracked underneath its body weight, resulting in a spider web crater spreading out from its position for thousands of meters!
