Chapter 14: The Yang Sect
Chapter 14: The Yang Sect
.....
Half a day passed since Azmodeus 'took care' of the Assassins sent by the Black Tiger Family, and since then, he had not taken a single break, as even sleep became a lot less necessary after reaching the Early Pulse Condensation Stage.
And it was at the moment that a full day had passed since the system came into his life that he decided to open up his system interface to see how much had changed.
A bright blue and golden light flashed!
BLING!

"Everything is looking good so far. Furthermore, I can feel that my cultivation is beginning to approach the Middle Pulse Condensation Stage."
A small smile formed on Azmodeus's slightly handsome face as he scanned through all of his recent gains and once again emitted immense gratitude toward the system that made this all possible.
-----
The Bone Forging, Early Pulse Condensation, Middle Pulse Condensation, Late Pulse Condensation, and Peak Pulse Condensation Stages.
In the Bone Forging Stage, the cultivator was required to refine and improve the fortitude of one's bones through various uses.
Of which, one could use Bone Refining Powder concocted by an alchemist, or they could temper their bones the old-fashioned way, otherwise known as 'Beating the sh*t out of yourself until you make or break!'.
On the other hand, the Early through Peak Pulse Condensation Stages were the realms in which one started to prepare for their advancement into the Qi Condensation Realm.
This was because the Pulse Condensation Stages were where one had to activate and fill up these things called meridians inside the body, specifically across your entire physical form.
After filling up 27 Meridians, you would have made it to the peak of the Early Pulse Condensation Stage.
Upon lighting up your 28th Meridian, you would have broken through into the Middle Pulse Condensation Stage.
55 through 81 was for the Late Pulse Condensation Stage, while 82–108 was for the Peak Pulse Condensation Stage.
And in Azmodeus's case, he was able to fill up his meridians with a little assistance from the system.
He had already stopped only relying on the Infinite Evolution System for everything cultivation-related, as it repeatedly reminded him to solidify and improve things himself.
After all, he was given the 'Cultivation Talent' stat for a reason.
In fact, it was because of this stat that his cultivation speed had improved by leaps and bounds as opposed to his speed pre-system!
So that was to say that Azmodeus was able to cultivate far faster than he could before! Hundreds of times faster!
And in less than a few hours of trying things out for himself, along with the system laying down the foundations, he was able to acquire a perfect cultivation base with 27 of his Meridians having been filled!
-----
"This is a good time to begin heading back toward the Sect." Azmodeus spoke with furrowed brows as he looked down at the dozens of beast corpses he sat atop.
After hunting in this forest for the last period of time, most of the Spiritual Beasts had already memorized his face and ran away upon contact.
Which ultimately led to quite the hassle when it came to acquiring more Evolution Essence.
So in the end, he had two choices: either head into the deepest depths of the Yang Forest and encounter beasts in the Peak Pulse Condensation Stage and above, or head back to the Yang Sect and find some opportunities there.
The choice was quite obvious for Azmodeus, and his pack-full storage bag only further solidified the choice as it was begging to be emptied out in return for some Copper and Silver Coins!
"Yang Sect it is. Time to become something the past me wished to become... An Inner Sect Disciple..."
Azmodues's slightly excited voice echoed out as his short yet muscular figure vanished from atop the mountain of corpses beneath him.
FWIP!
His nimble body moved throughout the Yang Forest at speeds over fifty meters a second, as it took him no longer than three or four minutes to make his way to the edge of the forest.
And when he found himself at the line that separated the Yang Forest from the Yang Sect, a new world opened up for him.
"The Yang Sect..." He softly murmured.
This would be a whole new chapter in his story, one that could mean everything in his journey to acquiring more strength and surviving in this cruel world.
This is a new beginning... A new start.
For the first time in a long time, his eyes brightened as his sword-like brows knitted together.
One might even think that he looked like a youth who found out there was more to the wide and vast world than the countryside he came from...
However, Azmodeus was not coming to realize there was a wider view after seeing the hundreds of red-tiled buildings and pagodas that lined every area of the Yang Sect.
Instead, it was the fact that there were cultivators stronger than him walking around that made him realize there was more!
There was more power to reach for! More power to grasp!
"A new beginning, and also a new goal..." He spoke with a sense of expectation welling up within him as he faded from his position and headed for the crowd of cultivators walking into the Yang Sect.
-
"Have you heard the recent rumors spreading around, brother Yang Fan?"
"What rumors??"
"The ones going around about the trash Trial Disciple suddenly going rogue, ultimately killing four Outer Disciples of the Sect! From what I hear, he has even killed the third Young Master of the Black Tiger Family!"
"The Black Tiger Family!? Does this Trial Disciple have a death wish or something!?"
"I have no clue! But what confuses me is how a trash Trial Disciple who was said to be the slowest when it came to cultivating was suddenly able to overcome Outer Disciples at the Viscera Training Large Success Stage!?"
"Maybe a random bout of luck, or it could be that he caught them off guard?"
The chatter of those on the gray cobblestoned streets of the entry grounds of the Yang Sect entered the ears of a short boy—a boy who was weaving in and out of the crowds.
It looks like word spreads fast in places like Spirit River City and the Yang Sect...
Azmodeus listened in on various conversations for a moment before he refocused his attention on making it over to the Sect Registry Grounds.
