Infinite Clone System Made Me Too OP!

Chapter 56: Shadow Slave Organization

...…

'Oh? It seems like such a discovery was enough to tip the table in my direction…'

'This is very good.'

Lucifer pondered a great many things in that split instant, thinking about all the possible ways he could benefit from this sequence of events.

In the end, he snapped himself out of his reverie. After which, he looked toward the Jade Milf Beauty and said, "If you could, can you keep this a secret between the two of us? At least until the annual inter-sect competition begins?"

"Keep it a secret…"

A great number of complex emotions swirled within Fu Wen's head in that instant. She originally wanted to go to Lord Xiao and tell him personally, but since her nephew asked this favor of her, she had no choice but to reluctantly accept.

Even though Lucifer didn't care whether or not she actually stayed true to her word, after getting the confirmation, he played his role in just the right manner.

'She shouldn't be too suspicious of anything I've said after demonstrating everything in the way that I did. Now, I just need to get her over onto the 'side' that she thinks I'm on.'

Lucifer planned to use her own mind against her, and he would do so in a way where he came out with 10000% of the benefits.

The first thing he did to accomplish this goal was inch closer to Fu Wen and start treating the wounds that he left there on purpose.

"???"

Even though the busty milf was confused about this action, Lucifer cleared up her confusion, saying, "It's only natural that I heal up my lovely aunt. After all, we are on the same side now, are we not?" He flashed a friendly smile before getting back to the 'taxing' healing process, sweat beads pouring down his face.

"..."

Fu Wen thought it would be a bit harder to coax the boy into her good grace, but it seemed like he was more naive than she thought he was.

'If he's like this, then I can surely find a way to use him toward achieving a breakthrough into the Early Golden Core Formation Realm.'

Even though Fu Wen was thinking about her own benefit, Lucifer was thinking along the same lines. With the only difference being that his aspirations would actually come to fruition. While hers…

'Well, naturally, she will burn, crash, and fall to the ground in a big fireball of blazing glory.'

Lucifer concealed a hidden contempt within his blood-red gaze as he finished healing the stupid Milf. After which, he and Fu Wen moved their legs in the direction of where Lord Xiao and Lady Mu were fighting.

Lucifer already asked Fu Wen to tell his parents that he was simply picked up by her in the aftermath of an intense fight she most definitely had.

Using this method, he could sneak into the direct battle line and more effectively command his clones around the battlefield.

If all went the way he envisioned it to, then he would be the one to benefit the most from this little scuffle between the Devildukes and the Water Nation!

Of course, Lucifer still had to adjust to the situation if need be…

****

In a dark, misty tree area more than 10,000 miles away, a few cloaked figures materialized from the mist that permeated the ground floor.

This was a meeting of the Shadow Slave Organization!

And what were they meeting about, one might ask?

"The member we had attached to the 6th Young Master of the Devil Dukes has had her life signals go silent. She is hereby proposed dead."

"!!!" "!!!" "!!!"

Upon hearing the apathetic voice of the Head Assassin, all the other assassins had their eyes open wide in astonishment.

"Code number #8954 was supposed to be one of the operatives least likely to get caught! How could such a thing occur?? Do we know of the reason???"

Shadow Slave #56 voiced his concerns with mild fluctuations in his misty gray aura.

He was in the Middle Golden Core Formation Realm, so it was no surprise that even the surrounding topography was warped under the slightest release of his power.

Even so, he was not the strongest one there, so he made sure to keep himself under control after the first outburst.

"I know that she was an operative under your command, #56, but this is not the place for you to act unruly. Do keep that in mind when moving forward."

The Head Assassin of this Shadow Slave Branch lectured #56 with an icy cold tone—one capable of shooting out sharp ice daggers at all that heard it.

With his strength being beyond the limits of the Late Golden Core Formation Realm, such manipulations of the Ice Element came as no surprise to anyone gathered here. However, that didn't make the experience any more pleasant…

Thud!

"I understand, Head Assassin…" Shadow Slave #56 muttered to himself, clenching his fists as he sat back down in his seat.

His expression morphed into one of rage, but thanks to his hoodie, he was able to conceal his immense anger.

'To kill one of my people… When I find you, I will rip you into a million different pieces and spread your entrails across the lands!!'

As Shadow Slave #56 had his thoughts whirl toward a direction of no return, the Head Assassin took in the looks on everyone's faces. After a second of silent brooding, he said, "Although we do not know how or why #8954 died, what we do know is that she left a voice message for us in the moments before her untimely death. The message went like such."

The Head Assassin pulled out a transmission crystal and let it play out on the table made of mist.

'You– Ma– er– Luc— tricked—..."

"That was where the voice transmission abruptly cut off. From what you all can tell, the wind was blowing extremely hard at the time she recorded this message. With this, one can infer that her death likely had to do with falling off a high place, which would explain the distant voice.

But regardless of how or why she died, what is truly important is the message itself. After all, a few hints as to the events leading up to her death could be gleaned from the words. Tell me, how many of you are briefed on the Devilduke Operation?"
