Chapter 26: Two Annoyances
...…
Seeing the ugly mug of that bastard barrier put a frown on Lucifer's face as he swore he would get back all 5,000 of his Spiritual Stones!
Furthermore, he wouldn't stop with just that, as he would take absolutely everything that the Head Lord owned!
Little did the short, cackling old man in a discreet location realize that he had just invited the Devil right to his doorstep. And he did so for a meager five thousand Lowest Ranked Spiritual Stones…
Regardless of what Lucifer had in store for the greedy Head Lord, he continued to make his way back to the Mansion.
On his return trip, he just so happened to be greeted by a couple conniving bastards. Both of whom were related to him by blood…
"6th Junior Brother! You must be having so much trouble carrying around that heavy Spiritual Ring! Here, why don't you let me hold onto it for you!?"
A thin young man with a cheeky demeanor snuck around the far more muscular frame of his 6th Brother as he attempted to snatch a shiny Spiritual Ring.
Of course, his attempts were thwarted just as easy as a slight hand movement by Lucifer. After which, a deadly stare honed in on his weasel-like figure.
"Don't touch my things. If you try something like that again, I will cut off all your fingers and stitch them to my dear 3rd Senior Sister." Lucifer dodged another sneaky hand as he caught hold of this one, quickly tightening his grip.
"Owww! That hurts, you bastard!!" A pretty girl around 25 years old cried out with a teary-eyed expression. Her wrist was definitely fractured!
"Do.not.touch.me. If you do it again, I will have your pretty little body found at the bottom of that hill over there." Lucifer pointed toward a boundlessly deep chasm, an evil glint glowing from his friendly face.
"!!!" "!!!"
The 3rd Senior Sister stopped her whining, while the 5th Youngest Brother fell on his buttocks and pissed himself out of fright.
"Now be good little doggies and go on your merry little ways."
With the utterance of these chilling words by the Devil Incarnate, the two cowards ran away without a second's hesitation. They even started to scream cliche villain lines after making it a certain distance away.
"This won't be the last you see of us!"
"We will be back!! And this time, I will tell my father about what you did to my arm!!"
Two screams that sounded equally girly resounded across the skies as Lucifer ignored their stupidity and went on his way.
"For an Assassin Family, there sure is a lack of true Assassin mindsets," he said with a disdainful tone, his mind tracing back to all the family members he's met so far.
Of all of the Devilduke members, only Father, Mother, 1st Brother, 1st Sister, and… 8th Sister truly have it in em. Only they have the potential to be top-notch assassins.
Especially that 6-year-old 8th Youngest Sister… There is something off about her.
Lucifer couldn't quite pinpoint what he thought was off about Li Yan, but his instinct was telling him that her identity extended far deeper than what her outer appearance displayed.
In spite of the oddities concerning that twin-tailed girl, I will leave her matter for when I get around to it.
In the meantime, I will go to this Family Competition and see just how I can benefit from a seemingly unfortunate scenario.
FWIP!
His figure vanished from sight after passing by a large, shrouded tree as he traded spots with a Clone.
He left his Main Body in a quickly dug-out hole in the ground and had this 9th Stage Qi Condensation Rank Clone go toward the Competition Venue.
With the active use of the Earth Burrow Technique, my Main Body should be able to keep itself hidden from all experts, no matter what cultivation they are. After all, with no movement, this technique is unrivaled as long as one can hold their breath for long enough.
With my current Cultivation and control over the Elements, I have around 9 hours to get done with this competition and return my mind back to my main body.
Keeping this in mind, he approached the wide and high colosseum where the Family Completion would be held.
