Chapter 110: Not That Bad of a Curse
...…..
'Well, fuck me sideways… This is a fucked-up way to send truck-kun after me.'
Those were the last thoughts to pass through Lucifer's mind before he was rammed into by the white blur, subsequently causing his vision to dim. Though no real damage was done to him or the two girls, they were all somehow sent into the land of the unconscious.
An unknown amount of time passed, and when Lucifer finally came around, he found himself leaning up against a red, lavender seat on what was clearly a wooden bench. "Hmm… Where the hell am I?" He asked.
"Ahh, you're finally awake!?"
Sounding out from behind him, a girl wearing an adventurer's getup leaned over the other side of a table. She had long red hair and a pretty face; she also had two weapons of mass destruction swaying right in front of Lucifer.
'What is up with these tits as of late? Am I cursed to view them in every episode now?? Well, now that I think about… not such a bad curse…'
While Lucifer wondered if those milky white mountains felt the same as the last pair, the owner of the pair in question was looking at him with a certain glow about her. Being a mixture of both happiness and apologeticness, she was quite clearly confused as fuck.
'Umu? Now that I get a good look at her… This woman isn't human, is she?'
Staring at her long pointed ears and those slightly curved eyes, there was no doubt about it. 'She's a Dark Elf,' Lucifer thought.
"Are you still with me!?"
Hearing the mysterious woman's tone change to one filled with more worry, Lucifer turned his neutral gaze up, only to be hit in the face by the mommy milkers!
"What the fuck!?" Quickly backing away from those mind-dampening weapons, his eyes narrowed, and he raised his brows in suspicion. 'Is this elf chick trying to seduce me with mere bags of fat?? Fufufu~ she truly doesn't know the immensity of heaven and earth!'
Getting lost in his own chuni thoughts that in no way correlated to what was actually happening, the dark elf started off by saying, "I-I'm sorry if I frightened you, but earlier, I accidently hit you with my Soporific Demon Wolf and put you three to sleep! I-I didn't mean to, and I was extremely surprised to see people so far out into Raven's End!
I hope you don't mind, but I got you all tickets with me on the Nightmare Express… It seemed like you three were headed in that direction to begin with, so I-I figured… I'm sorry…"
Clearly quite flustered and obviously not used to speaking to the opposite gender, the mysterious elf put her head down and fiddled with her dainty hands.
Of everything that the pretty elf woman said, the only thing Lucifer got from it was, 'So I was going in the right direction… Heh, I knew I was awesome.'
"Anyways, don't worry about it, miss…-"
"Shun Wen… My name is Shun Wen."
Nodding his head repeatedly, Lucifer said, "Of course, of course, miss Shun Wen. Now, since you have put us on this train that was in no way our destination, would you mind telling me a few things about this train and the place we're heading to?"
"Ahh, yes, of course!" Flustered and at a loss for words, Shun Wen threw her hands up in the air like she was throwing gang signs.
But, in the end, she found the voice to say, "B-But would you not like to wait for your friends to wake up first…?" Pointing to a short girl dressed in all black and a spirit woman that not many could see, Shun Wen nervously stared at the immortal-like man with her big, watery, slightly curved eyes.
Following her finger, Lucifer saw those two lazy couch potatoes napping across multiple seats without a care in the world. He laughingly said, "Those two; I will just give them a brief recap when they wake up. I do most of the thinking around here, so don't worry about it." Waving his hand in a joking manner, Lucifer then refocused his attention on the enamored elf lady in front of him.
"You doing okay?" He asked.
Realizing that she was caught staring a bit too much, Shun Wen immediately turned her face in a different direction. "Y-Yeah, I've just never seen anyone that looks like you…" She nervously stuttered.
"Ho? It's because I'm too gosh darn handsome, is it not??"
"W-Well, yes… But it's also because not many humans come to the Nightmare Realm… In fact, you're the first one I've ever seen…"
Blushing a little when reminded of his absurdly good looks, Shun Wen also made sure to explain the real reason why she said what she did.
"Hmm… this is quite unexpected… quite unexpected, indeed."
Realizing that he and his sister could be the only humans in a wide mile radius, Lucifer placed the matter of creating disguises to the forefront of his mind. If he got off this train in one piece, then the first thing he would do is cast a couple Heavenly Transfiguration spells.
"Oh, and if you haven't noticed already, this train is heading through the Northern Netherlands. Just look outside the window and you will see it!"
Suddenly becoming a bit excited, Shun Wen got up off her seat and practically glued her eyes to the large window on their side of the train. Showing off that dastardly body of hers once more, Lucifer couldn't help but lament the fact that she played dirty.
However, in spite of his grievances, he, too, looked out the window, and quickly, he witnessed a sight beyond words, not knowing quite what to say…
With the willowy trees and dark black hills that looked almost alive, they only served to work as the side details for the mesmerizing backdrop in the distance. Looming over the whole world, a bright, luminescent moon was on full display. Adding an indescribable sense of woe, the moon was the perfect addition to the picturesque scenery that made up the Northern Netherlands.
As an illusory, skull-covered bullet train sped out of Raven's End and into the Northern Netherlands, Lucifer and Shun Wen saw numerous flying devils and unexplainable creatures. Filling the sky with their perplexing existences, they swooped in and out of the skies, devouring both each other and those that were considered weaker.
The sight was both terrifying and surreal, leaving Lucifer in a state of semi-enlightenment. He seemed to have comprehended something from events that were seen as the norm in the Nightmare Realm. It was from this semi-enlightenment that he was able to comprehend something that normally only came around when one reached the Half-Step Void Refinement Realm.
Unleashing a thin layer of obscure energy from within his Dantian space, it then wrapped around Lucifer's body and transmitted to him a way in which he could begin comprehending the |Void Law|.
The |Void Law|.
It was very important for the future of a cultivator if they wished to reach the Void Refining Realm and anything beyond that realm. After all, it was the Law that one needed to bathe themselves in to make a breakthrough into the Void Refining Realm.
If one comprehended the complexities of this uncharted law beforehand, then they would be able to have a smoother breakthrough into the Void Realm. Additionally, one's power would improve far above the rest if they managed to accomplish such a thing.
For Lucifer, he had just touched upon the foundations of this extremely complicated law. And with him being in the Half-Step Golden Core Realm, this would make him a supreme genius of the highest degree…
It was very likely that within and outside the Elemental Nations, even going so far as to say that inside the bounds of the entire Tianwu Continent, Lucifer was the only one to begin comprehending the Void Law before reaching the Golden Core Realm.
The freak of nature in question was currently left in awe at the breathtaking scenery outside the ancient carved window seal in A Section, seats 11-20 of the Nightmare Express.
This entire section of the extremely expensive train was currently being rented out by someone of high status, someone also known as the 7th Royal Elven Princess of the Nightsorrow Empire…
Princess Shun Wen!
—---------
"Say, what is your name!? You haven't told me your name, even though I've told you mine!"
Chiding the nonchalant raven-haired man, Shun Wen jumped all around the cart she rented out. She was obviously trying to wear off all the excitement from looking out at the Northern Netherlands.
"Hmm… Well, you have still yet to tell me of the information pertaining to both this train and the place we're headed, so I reserve the right to remain silent."
Making this comment while trying to comprehend more of the Void Law, Lucifer closed his eyes shut, conveniently ignoring the puffed-out cheeks of an elven girl with long blonde hair and light green eyes. Though she looked like a dime and was prettier than just about anyone out there, she still didn't possess the necessary metal to shake Lucifer's Dao heart.
