Chapter 79: Chapter 10: Eh? How Is This Correct?
Lancelot was finally next in line at the temple because of how private and important the summoning was.
They would leave him alone after he paid the fee inside the ceremony room, where he would sing his chant for the second Commander he unlocked.
'Phew... Finally alone. I hope those girls are not causing any trouble with their actions.'
He stepped forward, offering the special incense to the braiser, before closing his eyes, taking deep breaths and letting his Ether flow freely through his body and the area around him.
A slow process.
This time, he wouldn't rush and fail like in the past.
Slowly the words of his new Ode began to form, but his eyebrows twitched, feeling this one was not meant for him.
He was sure that those above were toying with him.
Lancelot placed one hand on his chest with the other dancing through the air, his beautiful purple Ether forming myriad dancing lines shimmering and flickering as his lips opened to sing his Hymnal.
"In realms afar, where shadows creep,
A demon dragon, dark and deep.
O' Seraphim, with a radiant glow,
Two souls entwined in fate's fierce throw."
The moment he sang the melody, unlike Morgana or Ikumi's, it had a macabre timbre, as if doomed to end badly, filling the room with a glum atmosphere, his purple Ether transforming into a dark black shade.
"Dissonance clashes, worlds collide,
Yet destiny's call, they can't deny.
Through battles waged and pain defied,
Their love shall conquer, side by side."
Yet his melodic voice with a desire to bring joy didn't collapse; with hand on heart, he let his feelings known.
"With blazing eyes and thunderous might,
The dragon roars into the night.
Her seraph's grace, a beacon bright,
Opposing forces, drawn to unite."
He could feel the pain and rejection from the existence he was trying to summon, yet there was an allure that neither could deny. Now feeling a burning sensation in his scarred right eye as it began to bubble and burn.
A test or trial! That is how he felt.
"Dissonance clashes, worlds collide,
Yet destiny's call, they can't deny.
Through battles waged and pain defied,
Their love shall conquer, side by side."
Lancelot's body was filled with a golden light which lashed at his body like a divine whip offering him the punishment for his sins.
Yet he refused to turn away, refused to admit he was wrong. All his wrongs were for the greater good to save the realm!
So he gritted his teeth and endured!
"In chaos' grip, their hearts align,
To break the chains of an ancient sign.
In trials fought and fears unchained,
Their love shall flourish, unconstrained."
The strong rejection caused his body to bend, blood oozing from his fair red lips. But slowly, it faded, becoming a warm, accepting light.
Lancelot's eyes opened, now able to see...
Her beautiful outline and radiant wings.
"Through battles fought and hardships faced,
In loving embrace, their souls entwine.
No longer foes, but hearts in sync,
Their destinies are forever linked."
A Seraphim just for him.
The lady of judgment and wrathful ardour.
"Now bound as one, their spirits blend,
A union forged where light and dark transcend.
Through darkness' reign, a light shall gleam,
The Lord and Seraphim, a transcendent dream."
As the final words ended, his body began to collapse, a mixture of the rejection of his demonic and dragon bloodline rejecting the divine.
However, a gentle pair of arms wrapped around his shoulders, her face cold and unfeeling.
However, she looked upon him with a strange sense of calm, listening to the song she sang, which repeated thanks to the cathedral's good setup, so the Ode repeated once, twice, thrice...
The Seraphim finally showed a small, faint smile as her fingertips stroked the damaged eye; before it was completely healed, now a golden light shimmering where the dull grey pupil existed before.
She used the light of Excalibur to reform his face and eye, his charm now both demonic and angelic.
Wild yet sweet.
Enough to charm even the Seraphim not to despise serving an evil creature.
"My Lord, you must awaken and fill the land with your radiant light." Her voice was like a calming ocean making his heart feel at ease.
Lancelot never expected to receive the gentle baptism of an Angel, one as powerful as a Seraphim.
This holy power was beyond even Excalibur as she gently placed his tired body on the cool stone slab in the centre of the room.
Her eyes observe the wonderful prayer room with countless pillars depicting the demon's beliefs and mythology.
She did not scoff or profane, nodding and accepting their path and beliefs.
"A different world, different god. All should be balanced. There is no absolute."
"My master, why do you sleep so comfortably? Was my divine embrace so pleasant you are not braindead?" She spoke with a slightly harsh tone.
"Should I chop off the source of your troubles so that you can lead a happy life of celibacy? What good is a needlessly large one anyway."
"Belief and prayer are all that man should need. Not sex, alcohol and sin."
Despite that, her eyes still watched his naked form, swallowing as her fair neck moved gently, unable to take her eyes off his wondrous visage.
"Your demonic weapon shall not tempt this Seraphim of the Ninth Order."
"I, Nuriel, the flame of God, swear to serve Lancelot du Lac with my entirety and cause him no harm."
The purple mana that was black and crackling with lightning began to swirl gently before it slowly turned into a beautiful violet colour and penetrated her chest, filling her with his Ether, heart, and commands.
No longer the Seraphim of God but the Seraphim of Lancelot.
Her beautiful face, covered by a silver mask, seemed to smirk as she gently sat on the stone table with her delicate creamy fingers.
She stroked his soft hair, each time admiring how his grace and aura were close to that of a divine being despite being so weak and feeble.
"My Lord, you must awaken. They know of my ascension, and a demonic aura is rushing towards this place as we speak."
"You only have 1 day at most to escape... Forgive me, for your call, was both irritating and enchanting. I hate you and worship you..."
"Like your beautiful Ode and Hymnal. I pray you can show me a bright future together. Where my light can shine within your darkness, offering you what little respite and rest it can."
Slowly, Nuriel removed her helmet, the silver winged metal vanishing into a beautiful golden Ether, before she leaned down.
Her soft pink lips puckered as she came close to his right eye.
"Don't misunderstand, unlike that demonic woman or your cute hares. I do not love you, nor will I try to love you. I am your sword, and I will burn your enemies."
"If you can stir my frozen and sealed heart."
"Maybe..."
"But even the God who created me failed to do that."
The next moment, her soft lips kissed his eye, the golden Ether from her body completely emptying as if ending her own life as she became a vague outline of her sigil and marking carved into his eye.
Now with a beautiful star pupil with six dots representing her wings.
"This eye will see through all lies, all falsities and resist any charm magic."
"Until we meet again, my amusing yet annoying Master."
Soft golden hair slipped down his cheek, a colour undefiled by the real world, while his hand subconsciously reached out. Only to feel the silky, smooth sensation before her body vanished and returned to his eye.
"Ugh.... what happened...." Lancelot felt his power slowly recovering as he looked around the room with his eyes.
Yes, eyes...
The vision of his right eye was completely restored; rather, it was more powerful than ever before.
He could see the dark Ether dancing around the room, traces of a divine Ether, and it wasn't just the right eye. Somehow the repaired eye was slowly improving the left eye to match it.
'A strange summoning... I only felt her tight rejection, but she accepted me wholeheartedly as I collapsed. Only to reject me as I began to wake up...'
Lancelot rolled off the stone slab as he felt his body become more healthy.
All the exhaustion and tiredness from fleeing Rena and his battle with Arthur was gone.
He felt the divine power in his right eye and realised it was beyond his sword, somehow causing his heart to race.
'What did I summon... I can only remember her beautiful face and soft hair...'
⟪My a stout Lord, please look forward to our meeting, but don't think I'll fall for you like that silly demon or hare!⟫
'Strange... Her voice was mature, adult and sexy before....'
'Why is it more like a 20-year-old or an angry girl now? A high-pitched voice at that!'
⟪Because I used all my Divine Ether to heal your eye, idiot!⟫
'Hmmmm? Why are you so willful? Shouldn't you be kinder to your new Lord and Master?'
⟪He who lays with demons is a fool! I won't fall for your charms or succumb to that huge, monstrous thing between your legs! Nope! I am going! Hmph!⟫
Lancelot could only smile because her way of speaking was a little weird, but why did it always feel like she was saying something negative, but it felt like she was saying.
"Please make me succumb; charm me with that huge thing."
'Is this the legendary Tsundere?' He thought to himself, heading to the doors.
⟪Who are you calling a temperamental witch? Just wait! I won't save you or answer your calls! I won't!⟫
He smirked before whispering her name, summoning her.
The next moment she looked at him, her body dripping with water and naked, mouth wide open as she seemed about to explode in anger.
"Ah..." Lancelot called her bluff, and seeing her body, he instantly cancelled her summon, unable to hold back if he saw her naked for a second longer.
'Damn... what a bombshell, are angels allowed tits that demonic....'
