Chapter 189: Chapter 30: Night Attack?
As the trio rested together, a sudden loud ringing, like the warning bells of attack, jangled through the town.
Amid the gloomy morning, when all were asleep soundly as the morning dew covered the icy blue grass, the enemy chose to attack.
"Wake up!"
"Hurry to the walls!"
Countless soft voices of the fairies and snow elves chanted while Lancelot was still holding the soft body of Ikumi, her arms wrapped around his back as they wrestled against the shower walls, almost breaking the stone walls with each thrust.
"Mmmm...Ahh....Lancelot~ More...!"
'There seems to be a loud sound outside...' He thought, speeding up his hips and bringing their morning dance to a hasty end.
The lovely cries of the white hare echoed louder than the fairies outside singing of intruders, with many who passed his room blushed and shy as Milvar took the lead and readied the walls for battle.
Marimo shook her head as she dried her hair, tying it into tight buns, having finished half an hour earlier with her clean fur and smooth skin, wearing a black combat outfit made from monster hide and leather able to withstand monsters below 200 strength.
"Those two... Master, you make me jealous of Ikumi..." Marimo pouted, watching Lancelot leave the shower with a proud face as his naked body dripped on the floor before a black flame fluttered around his body.
"It seems we're under attack... It's a shame; I wanted more fun with you both."
"Hmph... Master, it hurts. Maybe tomorrow..." Marimo blushed. Her walking was fine, but her feet were slightly swollen and sore from the intense night. After a long silence, she kissed his cheek and dashed out first, leaving Lancelot alone.
"Seems like I overdid it..."
As if to confirm his words, Ikumi's pale body, trembling and limping towards the room dripping wet, as she looked at him with dreamy eyes as if eager to jump on him for another round, instead with a pout began to wear her tight black bodysuit, then the leather and hide armour in silver and white which all her unit wore.
"Darling, I wish we could have kept going for another three or four shots. My insides are still full of your hot milk, hehe. I can feel it inside me," Ikumi smirked, kissing his lips and swaying out of the room, with Lancelot following behind.
The cold wind and bright sunlight hit Lancelot's face, and his pupils shrank from the sudden dull sunlight after the night.
"How many have attacked?"
He asked a nearby fairy; they could instantly transfer information between those of the same race, as the cute green-haired fairy with wavy hair answered him.
"The east flank knights and west flank monsters have attacked under nightfall and taken the guard posts outside the walls."
"Did the traps activate?"
Lancelot frowned, arriving at the wall where the troops were already gathered, with his units standing ready, including Milvar, Marimo, Guinevere and the twin succubi. Before they headed to each wall, it seemed Milvar wanted to have a battle conference and began to split different troops to face the enemies at hand.
"I believe we should have the succubi mostly formed on the western walls against those strange ghosts, as our magic, which deals soul damage, is more effective on monsters like that," Lusia smiled.
She wore black glasses and a robe that covered her lewd succubus raiment.
Milvar nodded, standing on the tower of the walls and gazing towards the North gate as a large male twisted into an abomination and stood in a line of monsters. The knights, dressed in black armour, held a large war-axe.
"The central flank is yet to make a move, so we will keep the brunt of the oni here, sending five thousand to the eastern gate with several of the frost hares and snow elves. Faries will be equally dispatched along all three gates with two dedicated in each group to communications."
"What about us?" Lancelot asked, unsure what role his team would play.
Milvar looked towards Lancelot, "We will form the reserve group and dispatch them to where the battle seems most strenuous."
"Understood." Lancelot nodded.
"Good, you will also join the western front; we seem to be missing a white rabbit... whose pleasant moans and howls filled the night... Where is your little Ikumi?" Milvar smirked, causing Lancelot to avert his gaze.
"She will soon arrive. "
"I hope so, or we must replace her with another frost hare." Marimo clenched her hands, staring at the enemy with an angry look.
The twin succubi, Guinevere and Lancelot, exchanged looks before they were split apart, with Ikumi and Marimo on the eastern wall, Milvar and Guinevere on the north wall, while the twin succubi and Lancelot would take the west gate, with Lancelot being a flexible unit.
'I will let Milvar and the girls take command this time; sometimes, I can just focus on battle.'
"Enemies approaching the wall, brace the gates and prepare for battle!" A soft, cute voice rang across the entire wall, with Lancelot looking around; it was the cute elf girl, Snow Elf, with short purple hair and a short white dress.
"Impressive voice." He whispered, staring at the purple-haired Snow Elf, her ears twitching and cheeks flushed as if his compliment made her nervous.
His body rushed to the western wall; seeing the north gate was fine, Ikumi passed him by while holding a huge axe and leapt onto the wall as she finally showed up with over fifty other hares in the same armour as she did.
'At least she made it in the end.' Lancelot sighed with relief before turning his attention to the western wall, hearing the loud banging and crashing against the wooden gates.
"They are coming!"
"Brace the gate!"
The fairies cried out, floating above the wall, wearing pink and white robes while holding small staffs that glowed brightly in the early morning as a shield appeared above the wall and gate, blocking the attacks of the monsters, which consisted of strange twisted undead monsters that were a strange humanoid shape...
created with several human corpses mushed together and several floating wraiths watching the combat from a safe distance.
'Undead... Soul damage works well here.'
Lancelot grinned, holding his elbow with his right arm, magic starting to build up inside his left arm, glowing with a dark flame before firing towards the mutant abominations; as his sides, all the succubi did the same motion but with both hands, while flying in the air, black flames pouring from their palms like water.
Bang!!
Each black flame crashed into the monsters, piercing the shields and hitting their weak bodies, exploding on impact as they flew back, groaning as their flesh melted and souls were damaged. The undead didn't show pain before fading away into nothingness as another wave approached, seemingly endless.
"Why does it always come down to a war of attrition with the damn undead?" Lancelot sighed, casting another fireball and looking focused even as it exploded on impact.
"Careful, the wraiths cast a dark barrage of necromancer magic!" Lusia warned, pointing to the wraith commanders in black robes, holding a large scythe and casting a strange black magic circle in the sky.
'Dark barrage... huh... I haven't seen that spell.' Lancelot grasped the handle of Caladbolg, gently stroking the black leather as it was comfortable.
'Help me absorb their power, Kara!'
—Yes, yes, lover boy~ having sex all night, now you want me to fight without my beauty sleep!
Caladbolg seemed to resonate as dark magic circles appeared behind Lancelot. Kara appeared behind him in her transparent form, her white hair covering her face. She cast the defensive barrier spell, absorbing the wraith's attack.
BOOM!!!
Black beams fell from the sky, crashing into the barriers, causing them to tremble as Kara struggled to maintain the defence, gritting her teeth and concentrating until the barrage ended.
'That spell packs quite a punch,' Lancelot sighed, raising Caladbolg in the air. He then rushed forward, using a dash, and appeared before a wraith captain. He swung down with his sword and cut its scythe in half.
Kara giggled, floating behind him as she used shadow strike to attack with the same attack with a mirage of Caladbolg disappearing and reappearing behind the wraith as it faded away, dying instantly while Lancelot faced the next wraith with a smirk, his brow a little wet from the sheer volume of dark magic in that volley...
'Kara return to the sword... let's fight together.'
—Okie~
Lancelot swung Caladbolg, launching several shadow strikes as Kara appeared behind each wraith, attacking them from behind as they turned into smoke, unable to defend against her mirages. With his overwhelming strength and mana capacity, the battlefield seemed easy for him.
But then, a heavy atmosphere filled the western flank as five powerful wraith-like creatures flew close at high speed like arrows from a bow.
The moment they appeared, a barrage of dark energy collided with various parts of the wall, damaging and injuring several of the succubi before Lancelot could even activate the ability of Caladbolg.
"So here are the real players... damn."
