Immortal of the Ages

Chapter 803: All Women Are Bloodhounds!

"Diva?" The War Princess, encircled by the crowd, gazed upwards into the heavens.

Above, pink snowflakes danced in the sky, and amidst them, a woman with luminescent, snowy skin stood towering, her Corona shining upon her head, exuding an air of superiority.

Her beauty and divine presence were unmatched by anyone Feng Yao had ever encountered in the Harmony Divine Palace.

"How beautiful…" Feng Yao herself, forged from the Mortal Dust Devil Blood into a captivating devil, was naturally stunning. Yet, upon witnessing this otherworldly, white-haired and pink-eyed Diva, she couldn’t help but marvel.

Perhaps this was a kindred spirit. To her, the beauty of this revered being was pure and otherworldly, like Yun Xiao himself—detached and pristine as freshly fallen snow.

In that moment, including the two snake-tailed Valkyrie Queens, all the elders bowed in respect to this Diva.

Feng Yao herself was lost in the Diva’s beauty, momentarily transfixed.

"Don't you think she's beautiful?" she whispered to Yun Xiao within her heart.

"Fair, but not as much as you," Yun Xiao replied.

"You don't mean that." Feng Yao laughed.

"You think too much; I truly don’t fancy those older than me. Who knows, she might be old enough to be my grandmother," Yun Xiao said.

"Really, you think you'd get to choose? Don’t be a fool pining for the unattainable; she is one of the rulers of the Extreme Yin Celestial Realm, far beyond your reach even with a thousand hands," Feng Yao scoffed.

Yun Xiao chose to remain silent. He couldn’t very well tell Feng Yao that he had indeed ventured far with this Diva.

As they shared these secret murmurs, the Diva’s eyes had already locked onto Feng Yao.

Her eyes gleamed strangely, her snowy dress fluttering as she descended gracefully from the heavens.

The two Valkyrie Queens and the Valkyries stepped aside, making room for the Diva to drift before Feng Yao.

When her snake tail transformed into a pair of jade legs, touching the ground, even the earth beneath her feet shimmered with light.

She was indeed a tall woman, slightly taller than Moon Fairy, but before Feng Yao, she seemed no taller than a young girl.

Yet, in terms of aura, she was far more imposing than Feng Yao at that moment.

"What's your name?" she asked.

Feng Yao was taken aback; the voice of the Diva was unexpectedly soft, sweetly cloying, almost unsettling. Indeed, she spoke with the deferential tone of a senior addressing a junior.

"My name is Feng Yao," the War Princess replied, slightly bowing her head before the exquisitely ethereal snow goddess.

"Good. You will come live at my Snow Diva Ruins. I will personally guide you." The divine voice was tender, clearly valuing Feng Yao's exceptional talents.

As she spoke these words, some faces around them paled even further.

This included Valkyrie Queen Cang Xue, who slightly furrowed her brow in a faint expression of regret.

With Feng Yao's talents acknowledged by the Diva, it was clear that within their realm, not even a Valkyrie Queen could afford to offend this 9-Star prodigy.

"Have you already taken Xue Yuening as your master?" the Diva inquired further.

Upon hearing this, Xue Yuening quickly knelt, respectfully saying, "Diva, my humble capabilities merely serve as a guide for Feng Yao. Now that she has proven herself as an Immortal with boundless potential, I am deeply honored. My abilities are too modest to guide such a prodigy. So please, take her under your wing as her true mentor."

The Diva smiled and shook her head. "The bond between a master and a disciple is fated. You advocated for her, proving yourself by requesting the Harmony Crown on her behalf. You should continue this bond. Still, I will take full responsibility for Feng Yao’s growth on her path as an Immortal. Rest assured, she is destined for greatness and does not need my patronage to shine."

Xue Yuening dared not persist, merely nodding in agreement, her eyes brimming with tears.

"Thank you, master," Feng Yao said, helping Xue Yuening to her feet at the Diva's prompting.

Then the Diva addressed the gathered crowd, "For uncovering a talent of boundless potential, Xue Yuening is rewarded with the privilege to train at the Harmony Divine Pool and to choose an Upper Swallowing Heaven grade celestial weapon of her liking."

With these words, envy filled the eyes of the many women of the Celestial Snow Palace.

Even those who felt jealousy dared not show it at that moment. It was like this especially for Chen Yue, who had previously opposed and oppressed Xue Yuening; she now hid in a corner, wishing she could disappear, letting everyone forget her presence.

"Diva! I am unworthy of such honor..." Xue Yuening, tears welling in her eyes, began to kneel again.

But this time, Feng Yao held her back.

"This is your due, no need for modesty. Accept it," the Diva stated firmly.

"Yes! Thank you, Diva..." Xue Yuening gripped Feng Yao's hand tightly, overwhelmed with emotion.

Her gratitude was not for the rewards, but for truly admiring Feng Yao's character, unwilling to see her talents buried.

Now, the good were rewarded, and she was naturally comforted.

"Yao Yao, come with me."

The Diva of the Snow Lineage spoke as she effortlessly gathered the Harmony Crown.

She did not linger over the crown but turned, ready to ascend.

The Valkyries all respectfully bid her farewell, a testament to her supreme divine authority in the Extreme Yin Celestial Realm.

She was truly a force capable of laying waste to millions with a single wrathful glare!

"Master, I will visit you when I have time," Feng Yao hastily said to Xue Yuening.

"Follow the Diva closely, remember to show respect, and don't act recklessly," Xue Yuening instructed.

"Yes!"

"This afternoon is the selection for the Grand Assembly of Myriad Sects, remember that," Xue Yuening added.

"Yes!" Feng Yao smiled at her. Though their time together was brief, Xue Yuening indeed reminded her of her own mother, stirring a sense of longing within her.

With these thoughts, she soared into the sky, following closely beside the Diva of the Snow Lineage.

A fragrance like that of plum blossoms in fresh snow wafted from the delicate body of this snow goddess next to her—refreshing and delightful.

Feng Yao found herself quite fond of the scent.

The Diva, too, glanced at Feng Yao, perhaps also sensing the provocative scent that could stir the blood of others from her.

One was subtle, the other overt, but both were fundamentally enticing.

However, the Diva suddenly halted midair, her pink eyes intensely fixed on Feng Yao's breastplate.

Her usually gentle expression tightened suddenly, a cold, uncontrollable aura surged, instantly ensnaring Feng Yao!

Feng Yao felt a suffocating, deadly pressure in an instant!

"Yun Xiao, she wants to kill me!"

Her mind tensed, and she instinctively cried out to the heart within her.

"No." Yun Xiao's simple word eased her racing heart.

Feng Yao wasn’t Yun Xiao, who could rely on the protection of Red Moon and Blue Star; this Diva stood even above Valkyrie Queens, and if she chose to strike, Feng Yao would perish in an instant!

Who would wish for death when life was so thrilling?

Feng Yao relaxed slightly, but she couldn't fathom why the Diva's demeanor had shifted so drastically toward her.

Suddenly, the Diva closed in on Feng Yao. Her Eight Baptism Realm power, with its eight types of calamities, clung to Feng Yao like eight arms, preventing even a single eyelash from fluttering without permission.

She stared intently at Feng Yao! Then, she sniffed around Feng Yao's breastplate and skirt.

"What in the world is she trying to do? It’s disturbing…" Feng Yao felt a surge of panic and an urge to cry.

Could it be that the Diva preferred women?

"Where do you reside?" the Diva demanded, her voice cold as she scrutinized Feng Yao.

Feng Yao realized she could finally speak. “Diva, I was living in the Carefree Palace in the Thousand Snow Moon Peak, but what seems to be the problem?”

"Do you have a slave?!" The Diva suddenly seized Feng Yao's arm, her pink eyes swirling with a tempest of snow.

"Is it forbidden to have a slave?" Feng Yao responded, utterly bewildered.

Moreover, how did she deduce that Feng Yao had a slave?

From sniffing the breastplate and skirt... well, it turned out Yun Xiao's hands had indeed been quite restless.

As Feng Yao retorted, the Diva bit her lip, her eyes flooding with a frigid tide of snow.

With a hum, she gripped Feng Yao's arm tightly and dragged her flying towards the snowy mountains.

A pale pink snowlight blazed with terrifying speed toward the direction of the Carefree Palace.

Feng Yao was utterly disoriented by the blizzard! What was going on?

"Damn, her nose is too keen!" Yun Xiao, who had been pondering swordsmanship, leapt from the ground.

It seemed the Diva was deeply concerned about that day's events. Wasn't it enough that she'd already detained millions of slaves? Now she was coming directly to him?

"To flee, or not to flee?" Yun Xiao’s mind raced with these thoughts.
