I'm a Villain, So I'll Take Over The World!

Chapter 18 Home Raid

"Gah!" He let out, sitting up.

The entire time, he had to contain his inner geek from exploding into pure 'fanboy' from letting out in front of them, having to make sure he held the image of a well-adjusted warrior in his own right.

Now that he was alone, his cheeks were burning hot and a smile on his lips couldn't be dissuaded. At times like this, he realized just what sort of blessings he had, filling him with adrenaline and utmost excitement as he clenched his fists, wanting to do more.

"Seal," he said as an invocation.

Appearing on the back of his hand was a magical tattoo of his own creation, acting as a link to each of the fictional heroes he summoned so that he'd be able to bring them to his position at a simple call.

"Return," he said.

A verdant glow appeared on the mystical seal on his hand, invoking his will to return all of the figures left in the subspace to their rightful homes.

'Alright, that's done now. When I need them, I can call them to my side, and since I already established a connection with them personally, there won't be any issues in the heat of battle. I can't lose now,' he thought.

However, this was only the beginning of a new age of darkness; indulging in his powers to such a degree at least, seeing what he was capable of doing, he felt a new high.

As he refueled his exhausted body with a hearty dinner of a double-stacked sandwich and a chicken breast, his phone buzzed against his leg as he drew it from his pocket.

There were text messages and missed calls from Emily, Akari, and Freja, which brought a smile to his lips as he felt his romancing tactics bearing fruit.

'I almost forgot–I was so caught up in 'fantasy brought to life' that I forgot about them,' he thought.

As he replied to their texts, he suddenly stopped as something registered in his hyper-aware senses; it was subtle, but he heard a single leaf crunch beyond the walls of his home, just outside. He was sitting at the table in the dining room, glancing towards the front door of his home. The reason he was onguard was simple: he knew nobody else was supposed to be coming home at this time.

A single 'thud' hit the door, surprising him.

'Could it be somebody from school? I don't remember inviting anybody,' he thought.

Just as he was about to stand up to check the door, he remembered the encounter he had earlier in the week, instead opting to rely on ["Absolute Sensory"]--though before he could cast the spell, the window directly to his right shattered.

"--!"

A grenade emitting pale smoke fell into the kitchen, catching him by surprise as he quickly responded with one of his passive abilities: ["Object Authority"]

It was a passive spell that gave him telekinetic abilities, allowing him to lift the grenade up from a distance, flicking his wrist to send it back out of the window.

The residual smoke that made it into the kitchen caused him to cough, though its effects were mitigated by his enhanced constitution, merely an annoyance.

'Who's attacking? The police? Why? I made sure there was no evidence of anything!' He thought.

Before he could figure out what was going on, more windows were broken by gas-emitting grenades, filling the house up before callouts from the exterior of his home could be heard.

"Move in."

"Target confirmed."

He heard the stoic, military commands transmitting through radio devices before the front door was broken down by a kick. Pouring in through the entryway to the smoke-filled home, men dressed in all-black military-grade gear with gas masks entered, equipped with assault rifles and digital goggles to see through the veil of smoke.

Just as they came in, the squad got in position, pointing their automatic, high-caliber rifles at him before unleashing a storm of bullets in his direction.

["Absolute Barrier"]

The chromatic shield was conjured before the bullets could reach him, pelting against its immutable essence while he tried thinking of a possible reason for this inexplicable invasion.

'S.W.A.T? What's going on?!' He questioned.

While he was facing those that entered through the doorway, he heard windows being shattered on the second floor and footsteps dropping in above, prompting him to glance back to realize the unidentified agents were coming in through the back door as well.

"--"

He was mildly annoyed now, promptly countering the men at the door as he clenched his fist: ["Absolute Barrier: Reflect"]

The extension of his defensive spell caused the bullets absorbed into the silvery mass to shoot back out, piercing through the military-esque attackers viciously as holes drilled through their bodies, splashing blood onto the walls.

Just as he turned around, there were more of the all-black uniformed agents swarming into the kitchen.

"What the hell do you want?!" He yelled.

As one pointed the barrel of his rifle towards his head, he dashed forward with speed untraceable by the naked eye, slamming his knuckles against the goggles of the soldier as a resounding 'crack' echoed through the smoke-filled house.

Such a blow caused the unidentified, masked soldier to be flung back against the far way as his skull was split and his brains splattered on the wall.

TAKKA-TAKKA-TAKKA.

A pair of soldiers get into formation, spraying him with enough bullets to take down an elephant, though the piping hot rounds simply bounced off of his skin.

Still, it itched his skin and inflicted a light burning sensation that annoyed the already perturbed adolescent as he huffed, dashing forward as his shirt was filled with holes from the incoming bullet-storm.

As he got within striking distance, the closest soldier flinched before Noah pushed the gunman's head against the wall, cracking the sturdy wall and crushing the man's head on the spot.

Having a closer look, he saw the badge on the enigmatic soldier's chest describing the organization they were affiliated with: "S.E.N.T.I.N.E.L"

'Sentinel?' He thought.
