Chapter 92: Unknown Force

Chapter 92: Unknown Force

News spreads rapidly. The unbelievable fact that the human kingdoms have been united once again spread to the witch kingdoms and demon kingdoms so rapidly that it was shocking.

----------------------------------------

The king of Veolomid, one of the demon kingdoms, was looking at the messenger with a fierce grin. He asked, "When did this happen?"

The messenger, who was bowing so low that it seemed like he was touching the floor, responded, "Yesterday, Your Majesty. An unknown force of the humans has suddenly emerged and united the human kingdoms in a day."

The king started laughing, and the messenger flinched due to this sudden action of his king. The king then said, "Well, let's see just how powerful this unknown force of the humans is. It's been a long time since I, Gerozan, have received a proper challenge!"

----------------------------------------

The king of Duigruzar, another demon kingdom, had his hand on his chin while he was sunk in deep thought.

He finally said in a low tone, "Hm... If they had united all the human kingdoms in a day, then this unknown force must be quite powerful. Call for an emergency meeting with all the other demon kings and the ancestral heads."

The messenger looked at his king with shock. He said while stuttering, "My liege, is that really necessary?"

The king laughed at this question of his vassal and said, "Never underestimate the enemy. Do you remember the ancestor of the humans? Everyone underestimated and let him be, till only a handful of demons were his match. We cannot let a repeat of that happened."

The messenger bowed and exited the throne room.

-----------------------------------------------

In Shusite, one of the kingdoms consisting of witches.

The queen of Shusite sat in her throne, looking anxious. She said gravely, "Do you know the power of the unknown force?"

The princess shook her head. She asked tentatively, "But, it's not that bad, is it?"

The queen replied in a tone filled with worry, "It is! This is a matter of national importance! We witches continue our legacy by recruiting some orphan girls in human kingdoms and then training them! If the unknown force gets to know about this, and they are more powerful than that we can handle..."

The princess looked at her mother with widened eyes. She asked hurriedly, "Wait a minute! Mom, you mean that-"

The queen bit her lip while nodding. She said pleadingly, "I'm sorry Clarissa. To me, you are my daughter, and you will always be. Now you know why this matter is so important to solve, right?"

Clarissa nodded unwillingly.

The queen wanted to console her more, but she did not know what to say. She knew that the witches were in the wrong in this matter. So, she said, "Clarissa, please send a magic letter to the other kingdom and the ancestor, for an emergency meeting."

Clarissa asked dumbfoundedly, "Mom, but, it's been hundreds of years since an emergency meeting was called!"

The queen said helplessly, "We cannot let the humans rise. Humans are known to be scheming and despicable. You give them one chance to rise to power, and they'll make sure that they grab it, no matter what it takes."

Clarissa wouldn't have bothered about the statement before, but after knowing that she was a human too, she felt slightly indignant due to the statement.

--------------------------

Harry sat in the throne comfortably, looking at the ceiling of the throne room. He had to admit, the throne of Ikriven was d*mn comfortable. He was completely satisfied with how this mission turned out.

He did an easy mission and got 100 TP and 10 SP, which he spent on his charisma. He felt like he looked handsomer.

Just when he was brooding over on how to stop girls from falling for his handsome self, he heard a notification ring ring out in his head. He opened his system's interface only to see that he had just received a new mission.

Mission : Destroy one of the kingdoms of witches.

Information : Destroy any one of the kingdoms of the witches, to prove that humans are not to be taken lightly. You can establish peace treaties afterwards if you want to.

Difficulty : Hard

Reward : Cursed Stone technology.

Harry stared at the mission in a daze. The reason was not the objective of the mission, but rather the reward it gave and the new 'difficulty' information that the system showed. He had no objection in destroying a kingdom or two, but the difficulty was 'Hard'. This made him hesitate a bit, but the reward sounded good.

He asked Pluto about it. "Hey Pluto, what is the cursed stone technology?"

Pluto looked at him with shock. He immediately asked hurriedly, "Wait, did the system give you an option to buy it?! For how much? 1000 TP?"

Harry moved his head from left to right to show denial before saying, "No, it's a mission reward."

Pluto grinned before saying, "Nice! Cursed stone technology is technology based around cursed stone as a power source! Immediately complete the mission!"

Harry nodded and asked the system, "Hey system, what do you mean by destroy the kingdom, exactly?"

[Host, destroy means what you understand from it. You will have to destroy the royals of the kingdom and its army. You will have to wipe the kingdom from existence. You are permitted to kill pedestrians too if required.]

Harry facepalmed. It was exactly what he had feared. The system wanted him to destroy the kingdom from it's foundations, and even kill the pedestrians and citizens if required. He wanted to know how exactly he should proceed though. So, he asked Pluto about it.

Pluto seemed thoughtful about it for a while before saying, "Harry... I think the system wants you to make that kingdom an example to others on what happens if you target them. I think the system may have noticed that the demon and witch kingdoms are targeting you, and wants to scare them and make them sign treaties with you, allowing you to have more benefits while negotiating with them on the terms!"
