Chapter 72: Now, let's replace him.
Ethan slowly licked the dried up blood that was present on his dagger as he looked at the knight who was on full alert in front of him with a devilish glint present in his eyes.
Both his and Arnold's night vision and sight in general had become much better after getting injected with the demonic injectable.
Add their improved sight with their habit of hunting their prey in the cover of the darkness present during the night, and you could already conclude that Robinson was going to die pitifully.
At this point, the unknown factor was how many slashes it would take the two brothers to take down this 'valiant' and 'justice abiding' knight.
Robinson may have experience of fighting, but his experience mainly consisted of frontal confrontations with other knights. After all, most knights followed a strict policy of face to face battles, and found backstabbing and discreet killing as something bad and dishonorable.
I mean come on, it's not like your doing something 'honorable' in the first place to have a strict code and honor and chivalry and all.
Your killing godd*mn people for GOODNESSES SAKE! Why do you still categorize murdering into honorable and dishonorable, good and bad, bla bla bla
Murdering is murdering right? Anyway, back to the topic on hand. Robinson did not have experience fighting assassins. Sure, he did face one or two, but not a lot really.
But he did have almost godly instincts that he had developed after all the years he had spent on the battlefield. It was out of sheer instincts that he had dodged the knife that slashed at his neck.
Ethan swiftly leapt at the knight who was swinging his sword around him, maybe hoping to use those motions as a placebo for a shield.
Ethan slashed the dagger at the top of the calf of the knight, where there was a small gap between the armor with nothing covering his skin.
The knight could not dodge in time even though he heard the swishing sound of the dagger.
The dagger pierced into the knight's skin, causing him to groan in pain as he fell down onto his other knee while blood flowed out of the cut caused by Ethan.
[Author's Note : So basically, Ethan attacked his left leg calf area (above the calf) as it had an opening where there was no armor covering Robinson. The cut caused Robinson to lose balance and fall onto his right knee.]
Arnold immediately ran towards Robinson without giving him even a second to recover, as he slashed at Robinson's neck with his dagger.
Robinson was not able to dodge the attack.
Blood spurted out of the back of Robinson's neck as Robinson fell onto the floor while desperately clutching his neck.
Robinson opened and closed his mouth rapidly like a fish while gasping desperately.
Ethan slowly walked towards the twitching Robinson and kicked him in the stomach.
Robinson rolled on the floor while leaving two trails of blood.
Ethan slowly bent his head towards Robinson's face and said softly, "Such a pity isn't it? A noble knight like yourself dying such a pitiful death."
Arnold sighed while looking at his brother and remarked, "Let's get out of here already. Finish him off. There is no need to taunt him, nor is there a need to monologue like you're some useless villain."
Ethan rolled his eyes and said while face palming, "Alright, alright. What ever you say, my dear brother."
Ethan did not waste anymore time and plunged his dagger into Robinson's neck repeatedly with a savage look on his face.
After stabbing Robinson countless times, Ethan slowly licked the dagger that was dripping with Robinson's blood while remarking, "Tch.. His blood isn't that tasty. Well whatever I guess. I'll settle with this."
Arnold did not bother to say anything to his brother about his weird habits as he knew that he would not bother changing those.
Anyway, unlike his absolute love and desire to torture people and mentally or physically break them, his habit of licking his victims blood wasn't that bad.
I mean, it wasn't that troublesome. He did not mind what his brother did as long as he did not ruin the proceedings of the missions they were assigned.
Ethan continued stabbing the dead body of the knight in multiple places for a few minutes, and was going to continue for a few more minutes of not for the irritated growl of his brother.
Ethan pouted in a manner that maybe he thought was cute, but in reality, it looked kinda gross.
Ethan swiftly followed his brother while thinking about many things in his head.
What would be their next mission? Would they be allowed to kill a lot of people? Wasn't the knight too easy to deal with? Is he really the valiant and strong knight idolized by countless?
---------------------------------
Harry sat on his throne with his eyes closed. He pressed the bridge of his nose with what could be considered as a moderate amount of pressure as he thought about what he would do next.
He was sure that the two brothers would be able to get rid of Robinson and Lauren, but now came the actual problem.
He had to convince his mother to allow him to place a more suitable pawn of his as the commander of the knights.
If he could get his mother to support his decision, then things would be much easier.
But... that's where the problem layed. He did not want to approach his mom right now considering the accusations that she and Aoi had hurled at him previously.
