Chapter 11: Class Part 2
Chapter 11: Class Part 2
As everyone held their breathes in the gym Emma took her sweet time looking towards the front of the room with an obvious frown on her face but the slightest smirk apparent on her lips. Kaden immediately knew something was going to go wrong somewhere when he saw that slight smirk from her.
Most if not all the people in the room missed the slight smirk on Emma's lips and only focused on her obvious frown as she looked towards the crowds of students. Many began whispering wondering what could have possibly put her in such a state as she was the soon to be leader of the Johnson family there was no way she could get a bad class. Right?
'She's planning something.' Kaden thought inside his mind remembering the times from his past. Memories of when he and Emma were still friends but also when he started realizing her true colors.
The problem was he didn't understand how or why she would be planning something, so he just sat back and decided to observe her more carefully.
Once Emma let the anticipation set in at its highest moment and all the whispers quieted, she addressed the crowd deepening her frown as if this was the hardest thing, she had ever done even slight tears forming at the edge of her eyes, "T-this is my class. P-please don't let this change our future relationships." She seemed to stutter pulling up a shaky finger to show her class screen to the audience.
Obviously, this was not required by the school to show the audience your class as many chose not to do so in case of future battles with other classmates or other reasons, but the school still eventually had to see your class in private not only for their records but obviously the government. This was the true price you had to pay to use the awakening stone, and many did not mind this as it was a once and a lifetime opportunity. Kaden was included in this bunch as he thought the reward was more than enough for this small price.
For this exact reason he was worried on the reasons why Emma was currently showing her screen to the entire audience with a saddened face but most of all why her class was currently ranked one of the lowest in the entire school.
[Name: Emma Johnson]
[Class: Cleaning Maid]
[Potential: E+]
[Current Rank: F-]
The entire crowd was in pure shock as not a single sound was heard throughout the entire gym. It was so quiet that you could hear a pen drop but most of all the students weren't the only ones surprised by the class Emma was given. Many teachers had their jaws dropped slightly as even they feared people from the Johnson family since their entire family was known to have some of the best elite class fighters in the world. For the daughter of this blood lines current leader to end up with a class potential like this, it was a little more than just surprising.
Despite the surprising news there were a few that were unaffected for whatever reason that may be. Kaden was included among the many and so was Mr. Wright, the reason this was important was because Kaden was following Emma's eyes as she spoke and what happened afterward.
It seemed like she was trying to figure out what type of people were what and when her eyes landed upon Kaden, she just gave a very inconspicuous smile and continued on with her search of the crowd. While that smile may have warmed the hearts of others it did nothing for Kaden as he just went back into the depths of his mind until Emma came back to her seat and the next name was called, "Ashly Ryans."
Ashly's name was called, and she immediately came out of her stupor as she found Kaden staring at her intently wondering why she wasn't moving towards the stage yet, "Are you going to go or not? If not, I will gladly take any few minutes off of waiting and get my ability first." Kaden said matter of factly and even began to get up before she could move.
"Wait wait wait wait!" Ashly said rising from her seat as well and grabbing Kaden's arm. "I will go chill out." She said as Kaden sat back down in his seat.
Ashly then left our row and like the rest approached the podium where Mr. Wright currently was. Similar to the other 3 she attracted a lot of attention and not the normal kind of every student going over there but similar to Emma and how she was seen as an innocent blossom. However, Ashly was kind of seen as the polar opposite like rose but covered in thorn to keep others away. It was a different kind of appeal than Emma and many liked this better.
"Wow look at those earrings!" One girl said in the crowd jealous of how she still kept her goth like appearance in uniform.
"Woah! She's so tall!" Another guy said who was coincidentally a basketball player for his neighborhood league and very jealous of her height.
"Please step on me mommy!" One final man shouted making the entire crowd look at him in confusion and some even disgust before he sat down and didn't make another peep.
"You were all thinking it." The man mumbled to himself after being stared down by everyone near him.
Ashly was unbothered by the sounds of the people and the conversations about her circling the room. She walked up to the podium and walked up the steps without a fall similar to Ken before passing the waiting Mr. Wright and like the rest put her hand on the stone.
Unlike with almost everyone one of the others, Kaden was actually interested to see what this new girl he had befriended was going to get for a class. He predicted inside his mind that she may get a class as low as D+ and possibly as high as a B-. Though all of his guessing would be put to the test now as the blinding blue light took over the room before it once again faded revealing a slightly smiling Ashly.
