Chapter 84: Medicine to work (Bonus chapter)

The next night after.

[A new side quest has been issued.]

[Side quest: 'Help the Knights' ]

[Objective: Make contact with three knights and do them a favor.]

[Reward: 1 skill point.]

'I told you all quest should be placed on hold'

Ha Joon grunted a bit, holding his head as the intense headache kept bugging him. He was seated behind the dick, multiple documents arranged before him.

[All three of your quests have been placed on hold. You can't receive new quests without completing previous ones.]

'Yeah yeah, I know….'

Snap!

The door to the office opened.

Yukio hastily walked in, a tray of water and a small glass bottle settled on it.

"Sorry I took too long, I had to go down to the medicine shop, but this should help cure your headache." Yukio placed the tray on the table, and picked up the medicine before opening it and handing it to Ha Joon.

Ha Joon stared at the bottle with disgust for a while.

"Looks bitter…."

"Please don't be a child, take the medicine. Lady Merlin specifically told me you have to take the whole thing."

She stretched it towards him.

'Uhhh…no one likes being sick, although I blame myself, controlling two forms isn't exactly easy.'

Ha Joon decided to give it a go, he grabbed the bottle from Yukio's hand and gulped down the whole thing.

Ahhhh~

He slammed the bottom of the small bottle on the table.

"That was way too bitter!" He spat with a squeezed face.

"You should feel better in a couple of hours. Although not knowing the cause of your headaches can be problematic. Would you like to rest in your room?" Yukio asked, leaning forward, her cleavage even more exposed for Ha Joon to see.

It took a lot of self control for Ha Joon not to pounce on her everytime he sees her in her maid outfit. Now - Now she was just pushing her luck.

Grab.

His hand moved by itself, copping a feel of Yukio's boobs.

Hmmm….

He shook his head a bit, appreciating the soft texture of her perfectly round bosoms.

"Is it still to your liking? I noticed I have grown quite a bit." Yukio asked, moving even lower so Ha Joon's hand could grab a bigger potion.

"Your breasts… Yukio, will always be perfect." he smiled at her as if he had just given the best compliment in the world.

Although, Yukio still wore her expressionless face —

"Then I'm glad, I'll take you to your room, you need to rest for the medicine to work".

"I will once I'm done setting apart the doc-"

"Master." Yukio called out to him, almost like a respectful threat.

Ha Joon sighed.

"Very well, I guess I can take care of it tomorrow morning."

"Thank you."

Ha Joon stood up from the chair he was seated in and began to head out of the office, Yukio following behind him.

Once he got outside, he came face to face with Lancelot, who was also just passing by.

"Hey there la-"

Before he could complete his words, Lancelot bowed his head and continued down the hallway.

"Honestly, I guess there's no helping that. Took me a while, but I can boldly say some of the roundtable knights don't like me." Ha Joon sighed, looking at Yukio, "What's a man to do in such times?".

"Please go to bed."

"You're no fun."

Lancelot, who had managed to get far away from Ha Joon, suddenly stopped and turned around to see Ha Joon walking down the other path.

"This is for the greater good of the kingdom… this is the only choice." he said to himself as if trying to convince his brain.

In the end, his hatred for the Traveler began to overwhelm him.

Ha Joon had gotten to his room.

He laid flat on the bed, the blanket fully covering his body as he stared at the ceiling.

"Are you comfortable?" Asked Yukio, standing at the side of the bed, the bulb around the room lighting the place.

"I am, you worry too much, it's just a headache, chill." Ha Joon chuckled.

"My grandma died due to severe headaches." Yukio confessed.

It caught him by surprise.

"Oh… ummm…"

"And her sister."

"Eh?"

"My mother's friend died from the same issue."

"A..are you sure it's not a curse thing?"

"All I'm saying is don't take it lightly, I don't want you to die. That can't ever happen." Yukio looked at him with a straight face.

Ha Joon felt a slight worry graze her face, but she was quick to rebound, putting on the tough act she had always worn.

He smiled, then closed his eyes.

"If that's what you're worried about, then I won't die. I am just that amazing. But, I will tell you this, the next few days are going to be hard, whether you can endure it or not will depend on your faith in me."

"It's…going to be hard?" Yukio tilted her head to the side.

"Just ranting, I have a headache, remember?".

"Right, please sleep well, I'll stay here till you fall asleep." Yukio moved back a bit.

"Hai hai."

And with that, Ha Joon went quiet, slowly falling asleep.

As she stood there observing him, the moonlight reflecting on his face, she suddenly picked up something moving behind the curtains.

Yukio sighed.

"You realize I can see you right? Sinex." She called out.

Sinex gently walked out, chuckling nervously as she chowed down on the bread in her grasp.

"What are you doing here? If you came to disturb the Master, then I suggest you come another time, he's currently resting right now." Yukio warned, clearly not ready to deal with Sinex.

"Relax, I just came to check up on my Love, and besides…" Sinex's eyes glowed a bit, "It was painful watching you act all close to him… would have killed you if you weren't important to him."

"For an outsider, you sure have a whole lot of entitlement." Yukio retorted.

"Wanna say that again?" Sinex's body began to ooze with energy.

They stared each other down, like two predators ready to attack one another.

But suddenly - Ha Joon moved and gave a small snore.

This immediately made them both stop, neither one wanting to wake him up.
