Chapter 131: Refining Atomic Serum
Tyrion did not even count as a junior Chemist yet, so his success rate was close to none! Regardless, these 300 sets of medicine were purely for training purposes, and it was impossible to be able to cultivate Atomic serums with them.
"Would I really be able to create Atomic serums with these 300 sets of medicine?" Tyrion asked again, still unsure.
Even though a bottle of Atomic serum retailed at a price tag of 100,000, the cost of creating it was even lesser, meaning that it had the possibility of giving them a hefty profit! However, with such a pitiful success rate, even F grade pharmacists would not be able to profit much.
Having 300 sets of ingredients meant that Tyrion had to cultivate five bottles in order to earn back his costs, even a single bottle less would result in a huge loss for him.
Tyrion's face turned gloomy in the blink of an eye. He only hope he would be successful!
But, he had already bought the ingredients, so there was no getting off the boat now.
He picked up the experimental equipment and ingredients, then started following the steps in his Memories until he finished the experiment. The equipment and ingredients were all analyzed by him through his memories, Tyrion's senses were the exact same they had been in his memories via the sense of touch or smell.
It was as if he had already completed the experiment a million times in his head and was simply repeating it again!
"Extracting energy serum!"
Tyrion extracted a drop of the 6-star patterned leaf serum carefully, announcing it aloud proudly. According to the analysis in his head the 6-patterned herb could be used as the principle drug, and at the same time, could also increase the effects of the medicine, causing the molecules in the serum to become even more active!
Ding!
Tyrion completed the last step and tried to mix the 6-star patterned leaf serum in.
Crack!
The serum bottle cracked open suddenly. Then, it exploded, rendering the experiment a complete failure!
"Why did it fail? I clearly followed the exact steps of the Memories." Tyrion was perplexed.
"Now that I think about it…there was a total of 13 mistakes in this experiment, as well as two fatal mistakes…"
In his head, he lstarted replaying his experimental process, pointing out and correcting his specific mistakes.
Tyrion was surprised. So this was what it was like to max out the auxiliary manuals. It was entirely different from combat manuals.
Not only could it simulate the experiment, it could also point out the mistakes during the course of the experiment. It even had ways of correcting them. Even the world's most renowned Chemist would not be able to achieve such a detailed level of precision!
A renowned mentor could, however, pass on their own experience to their students, thus minimising the errors that the students might make in the future. For all the other aspects of their education, the students could only rely on their own understanding.
Tyrion felt more confident about being able to refine the Atomic Serum.
Even without any previous knowledge of pharmaceutics, he would be able to conduct and complete the experiment with perfection. Tyrion picked up the new materials and started experimenting again.
He repeated the experiment again and again, marking his failures and corrections along the way. After more than five hours, Tyrion reached the final stage again.
"Extract only one milliliter of the 6-star patterned leaf energy liquid. Too little of it would cause the result to be unsaturated, while too much of it would cause an intense reaction, resulting in an explosion!" Tyrion whispered unconsciously.
In fact, one of the most serious mistakes ever made with this experiment was the extraction of an excessive amount of the 6-star patterned leaf energy liquid, which led to an intense reaction and a huge explosion!
Ding!
As the final step was completed, a ringing sound, like a silver bell, was heard. Suddenly, the green liquid turned into a dreamy glass-like color. The glittering liquid looked nothing like the Atomic Serum.
Tyrion's heart was overwhelmed with excitement, as he exclaimed, "Hahaha, I finally succeeded! The first bottle of Atomic Serum had been successfully refined."
Tyrion held the Atomic Serum and laughed. After five hours and dozens of failures, he had finally succeeded! His success rate was astonishing, as it was several times higher than any typical F grade pharmacist's!
"Although I've have succeeded, there are still many details in this experiment that are not perfect. Otherwise, the purity of this bottle of serum would be higher," Although he reprimanded himself, Tyrion still grinned like a madmad.
The higher the level of purity, the better the effect would be. Many Atomic Serums currently on the market were only of normal grade. Those with higher levels of purity belonged to the good, higher, and perfect grades.
Comparing the good grade to those of the normal grade, the efficacy level of the serums differed by 10%. The price of the good grade serum was also a little more expensive, naturally.
The Higher grade's serum efficacy level could reach up to 30%, while the perfect grades could reach up to 50%. But, the perfect grade serum was at least twice as expensive as a normal grade serum!
However, this serum was definitely worth the money, as the 50% increase in the efficacy level allowed one to absorb the Cosmic Force much more easily, as compared to the usage of a normal grade serum.
Yet, the perfect grade Atomic Serum was rarely seen, as the rich virtually monopolized the market, swooping in and purchasing it, even before it hit the shelves! This meant that, even if you could afford it, was often unavailable.
After Tyrion completed the refinement of the first bottle of enhanced Atomic Serum, he continued to refine more. He was thoroughly fascinated by pharmaceutics.
One reason for this fascination was because Tyrion could imagine countless amounts of money rushing towards him! Then, unknowingly, Tyrion had been refining for more than ten hours! During this time, he had used up all 100 portions of his materials.
Tyrion could not help but grin and laugh, as he looked at the five refined bottles of enhanced Atomic Serum. A success rate of 5% in refining serum seemed to be very low.
