Chapter 1
I’m Going to Pick a Cemetery for You
Cheng Lang never imagined the day that he would find himself waking up to a woman on top of him.
Xing Shu sat astride on Cheng Lang’s abdomen and leaned forward to kiss his neck. After confirming that it left a conspicuous hickey, she greeted him with a smile, “Good morning, Young Uncle.” Xing Shu moved closer to Cheng Lang’s lips and gave him a passionate morning kiss.
Cheng Lang’s hair was messy, and his pupils constricted for a moment. His thin lips tinged with a faint smile. He raised his hand and grabbed Xing Shu’s neck. “Xing Shu, you’ve got a nerve!”
How dare she scheme against him—she must be tired of living
.
As Cheng Lang tightened his grip, Xing Shu found it difficult to breathe. Her face was red—but she was undaunted—and raised her eyebrows at Cheng Lang, smiling. “As they say, ‘If my body should perish, girls I’ll still cherish’. A night with Young Uncle is worth dying for.”
Cheng Lang was taken aback, and his eyes became even colder. He let go of Xing Shu—grabbed a shirt at the side—and put it on. Xing Shu touched her neck and asked him, “Young Uncle, where are you going?”
Cheng Lang’s facial features looked like they were exquisitely carved by
Nuwa
—he was drop-dead gorgeous. Just a casual glance at him made one’s body tingle.
Cheng Lang said, “I’m going to pick a cemetery for you. Which direction would you like it to face?”
Xing Shu’s eyes narrowed and she smiled guiltily. “Oh… Young Uncle is such a joker.”
At nearly 1.9 meters tall, the majestic Cheng Lang cut an imposing figure when he lowered his head to look at someone. The black Buddhist bracelet on his wrist contrasted sharply with his cool white skin, making him seem so pure. Known as the “Buddha on Earth”, the Fifth Master of the Cheng family was on an altar and extremely imperious.
“Pick an urn too. What style do you like?” Cheng Lang deadpanned. His thin lips were tightly pursed and his eyes were slightly lowered.
Xing Shu licked her slightly curled lips. “There’s even an urn—Young Uncle is so ruthless. You won’t even leave me an intact corpse?”
Cheng Lang had never seen a woman like Xing Shu—bold and licentious. A hint of ruthlessness surged in his eyes as his slender fingers pinched Xing Shu’s chin. Xing Shu’s incomparably beautiful face was almost peerless in the Beijing circle. However, she was pretentious, vain, and grandiloquent—the type of woman Cheng Lang despised the most.
Cheng Lang asked, “You want an intact corpse?”
Xing Shu replied, “If Young Uncle is willing to bestow.”
Xing Shu was gorgeous, with alluring eyes that were the embodiment of innocence yet provocative—the look du jour. Those seductive eyes would stir up even the deepest hidden desires.
Cheng Lang suddenly smiled. The ruthlessness in his eyes slowly faded, but his grip on Xing Shu became stronger. When Xing Shu’s beautiful eyebrows could not help but frown, an inscrutable faint smile curved his lips. His other hand slowly moved down along Xing Shu’s waistline. The Buddhist bracelet on his wrist was cold, and Xing Shu’s body stiffened. Cheng Lang’s action did not look like flirting, but more like a knife that could kill at any time.
Cheng Lang asked, “Was Cheng Xingyang unable to please you?”
Cheng Xingyang—Cheng Lang’s nephew—was Xing Shu’s fiancé; but soon, he would not be. Cheng Xingyang had slept with her best friend, so Xing Shu returned the favor. She hoped that Cheng Xingyang would not be too surprised!
“Young Uncle, what are you talking about? My relationship with your nephew is very innocent. However, my relationship with you… not very innocent.” Xing Shu said seductively. Her red lips opened and closed—with the tip of her lively tongue faintly discernible— like a temptress.
Cheng Lang narrowed his eyes. There were many women in the capital who wanted to sleep with him, but he had never fancied any of them. He never thought that he would fall prey to his niece-in-law.
The air of danger thickened. Cheng Lang asked, “Are you sure you want to do this?”
“Huh?” Xing Shu only had time to look up before she was pressed onto the bed by Cheng Lang. “Young Uncle…” Before she could finish speaking, a magnitude of brute force swept across her waist and abdomen. Other than a tuneless moan, Xing Shu had no words.
The ear-piercing ringtone of her cell phone woke her up.
Xing Shu opened her eyes dreamily and looked at the date on her cell phone. Only then did she know that another night had passed. It had rained heavily outside at some point in time, and the arms around her waist were tightly wrapped like vines.
Xing Shu looked at the words “Cheng Xingyang” jumping on the phone screen and languidly pressed the answer button. “Hello?” Cheng Lang stirred beside her. Xing Shu hurriedly lowered her voice. “State your pupose.” Her voice was so gravelly that she could barely speak. Xing Shu got out of bed and poured herself a glass of water.
