Chapter 62 Pretend To Be A God!
Standing in front of Elric were a group of about thirty primitive people, ten men and twenty women with only loincloths on their bodies, and unkempt hair.
At this moment, they seemed to be in the middle of some sort of ceremony as all thirty of them had gathered in a circle.
"Argg gaah gii!"
"Zaa zaaa!"
"Unga bunga!"
Just when Elric was about to react, they seemed to have discovered his presence. Immediately without giving him a chance all thirty of them Immediately went into a frenzy as they made different grunts symbolising their lack of a formal language.
*What do they want to do?*
Looking at them, Elric didn't feel much hostility in their reactions, but rather he felt many emotions such as fear, worship, and curiosity
Thinking of this, Elric sat down with interest as he decided not to make a move yet, but rather watch how this event played out
*Plop!*
Suddenly with a loud plop under Elric's astonished gaze, An old looking man along them with dense grey hair and a faintly sickly look suddenly knelt before him
*Achk!? Unga! Larnga!!"
Unfortunately before Elric could figure out what was going on, The old man suddenly turned back and started shouting at the rest of his people.
*Plop!*
*Plop!*
*Plop!*
Immediately as if on cue, after hearing the old man's shout, the remaining twenty-nine people dropped to their knees with a look of fear of reverence on their faces
*What is going on?*
Looking at all this, Elric had a look of confusion on his face. Unfortunately for him, no matter how much he tried, Eric couldn't understand anything there were saying
" H e l l o ! M y n a m e i s E l r i c ! "
Saying each word slowly and carefully, Elric pointed to himself as he tried to make them understand unfortunately there was no success
"Unga?"
Looking at the primitive humans looking at him with question marks above their heads The corners of Elric's mouth couldn't help but twitch. However thinking that he had nothing better to do, Elric still tried to communicate with them
Soon time passed, and after several attempts and realising there was little to no progress in communication, Elric suddenly felt like he had a headache.
But it wasn't like everything was pointless, during the period of trying to communicate with them, Elric had successfully found out why they knelt to him at the beginning
Judging from the grey-haired old man's behaviour and his current surroundings, it was most likely they were in the middle of a sacrifice to some Gods of some sort they believed him
However, thinking back to what Latet said on how almost no Gods would be seen outside the main plane Elric suddenly had a moment of eureka
*I see, so that's it!"
*It possible that my landing just happened when they were in the middle of their sacrifice causing them to believe I was the God they were worshipping"
*If so, it would explain the fear and fanaticism in their eyes whenever they looked toward me*
Thinking of all this, Elric's gut feeling told him he was right
All of a sudden, all the pieces of the puzzle seemed to fit, and Elric who had now figured out the current situation suddenly had a clear direction in order to plan his next steps
*However them believing I'm their God isn't necessarily a bad thing*
After calming down to analyse the matter, Elric realised that he could make good use of this opportunity if his card are played right
*Judging from their dressing and mode of communication, unlike the main plane which has the power and oppression of the Gods to speed up civilization*
*The planes outside it are mostly if not all in a primitive state!*
*If I take this opportunity of their ignorance to win them over, wouldn't I have a group of loyal people for nothing?*
As someone who lived a life on the blue star, Elric was very aware of the value of loyalty, and what better way to gain loyalty than become the deity that everyone worships
Thinking of those fanatics of the cross religion back on the blue start, Elric couldn't help but shiver lightly
*But I can't take the name of a God, who knows If I'll end up gaining cryic's attention*
Remembering this mysterious source holder, Elric decided to stay away from anything related to Gods till he had a form of protection against him.
Sitting on the floor, Elric began to ponder on what to do next.
Soon before he knew it, almost thirty minutes had passed,.and under Elric's command, the thirty people were no longer kneeling towards him, but rather sat together on the floor with him
Suddenly, just as they were waiting for Elrics next command, Elric suddenly burst out into laughter shocking them
"Haha stupid!"
"Why Do I have to pretend to be a God? After all, I have something even better!"
With a light laugh, Elric waved his hand summoning his spell book
"I'll just tell them I'm a wizard, after all, they don't know what a wizard is, and in the process of trying to teach them language, I can construct an almighty and all-powerful image of a wizard I'm their heads!"
"Haha as expected of me, I've already figured out a plan"
Feeling the high feasibility of this plan, Elric couldn't help but applaud himself for his quick thinking
"However a problem still needs to be solved"
Looking at the thirty people who couldn't understand a word he said, Elric suddenly didn't know where to start from
"However it's maybe either Davis,. Reinhardt or somebody I'm the orb with could figure out a solution!"
Thinking back to the orb, Elric didn't believe that the combined mind and efforts of all of them wouldn't be able to solve this communication issue
So without out any hesitation, Elric took out the orb from the small world and held it in his hands
It's just that didn't realise that his actions of taking out the orb from nowhere fell into the eyes of the primitives. This made them once again sure that Elric was God
Unfortunately Elric wasn't paying any attention to them at this moment, looking towards the orb in his hand Elric's face gradually became serious
"You guys, I hope you won't let me down"
Saying that, he Immediately injected mana into the orb.
