Chapter 20 A New Home (II)
Upon coming out, it was at this time Elric had time to see exactly where he was, as due to his earlier rush he was unable to fully scan his surroundings.
With classy wine-colored drapes hanging from the walls, a large mosaic artwork hanging on the wall, and a large number of bookshelves, it looked like a typical plain old library. Who would have expected it to lead to such a room?
"Young master!"
"Young master, where are you?"
Just as he was about to take a look at the books, the voices of Davis and George searching for him could be heard calling his name from the hallway in front, following the way he came he saw the two of them looking at him with an anxious face.
"Young master, where have you been?
"After searching for a while and we couldn't find you, we thought something happened to you!"
Just as he was about to say Hello, he was bombarded with a flurry of questions. Seeing their concern, he couldn't help but have a warm feeling in his heart.
"It's okay, I just wanted to have a look around real quick"
waving his arms obviously not wanting to go deep into it, thankfully both Davis and George were quick to grab on and quickly changed the topic.
"By the way young master, after going around, we found five rooms on the ground floor and one master bedroom on the upper floor"
Taking the lead, Davis began to talk about everything in the house and how it's totally different from back at the village.
Goerge on the side just kept quiet however, the slight smile at the corner of his lips showed he was obviously satisfied with their new home.
After a few minutes passed and seeing Davis was still going on, Elric could help but interrupt him
"Okay Okay, I'll go see the rooms when I'm done here, however I would like to stay here for a bit"
pointing to the library behind him indicating he would be there for quite a while
"During this time unless there's an emergency don't let anyone disturb me"
Speaking of this, his face could help but turn serious.
"Don't worry young master you can count on us, we'll make sure no one disturbs you"
with a light nod, although confused about what he was doing, they both knew that he would tell them if it was really important.
seeing his serious face, both left obviously not wanting to disturb him.
watching the two of them leave, Elric's smile was gradually replaced with a serious face.
Walking back into the library, he found a seat and took out the notes from earlier.
"House of blasphemers hunh, it seems the human race of this world isn't as weak as everyone thinks."
"According to the notes, the first stage into the world of the extraordinary is called the black iron stage, this stage requires one to extract the blood essence from extraordinary beasts of which you should bathe in it in order to get a body-forging effect."
"However, it states strictly that the blood essence must not be drunk directly but rather used to bathe.
After going through this process, the human body would be able to jump over 10 metres and resist swords with his bare flesh. it is said that one's bones would be as strong as iron hence the name 'black iron' stage"
The more he read it, the more his eyes shone as the notes, although tattered, actually recorded detailed steps on the blood essence extraction process and the remaining steps up till the holy stage.
"However, if I do exactly as it states, I'll be exactly the same as those before me meaning I'll never be able to break through the holy stage, and meaning I'll never have the power to resist those Gods"
As he thought of this, he remembered a line which he read from earlier.
''The highest saint is still an ant before the weakest God'
Thinking of this he felt a great sense of unwillingness. Just as he was about to give up, an idea suddenly came to mind.
"Yes! why did I forget about that!"
"Given the soul inscription and body strengthening tattoo recorded from earlier, and the knowledge recorded in the notes, it might not be impossible to deduce a brand new extraordinary path!"
The more he thought of this, the more excited he got.
"And even if it doesn't work, it states here, apart from the house of blasphemers, there's also the house of heretics and house of demons. with their knowledge coupled with my A.I. chip, I don't believe I can't figure something out"
All of a sudden, the earlier unwillingness was swept away leaving only a scientist's pride and anticipation for the future.
"However all this is yet to be verified, tomorrow I'll ask David and George to take some tribesmen to go hunting with the town guards, maybe they could catch a few beasts I could use for experiments."
With that in mind, he picked up a few random books from the shelves and started his journey on accumulating knowledge. Unknown to him somewhere in the starry sky, a series of plans were being staged against him.
.....
In the world of Elias, millions of stars could be seen hanging in the night sky, it is rumoured that every star represents a kingdom of God of a certain Deity looking down on the mortal world.
Due to this, there is a popular saying in Elias, 'believe in a God and you can live forever' . it is said that all lives who believe in a God, can ascend to that deity's kingdom of God after death and live there forever while the souls of unbelievers would be thrown into the river Styx to suffer for all eternity.
However at this time in a certain Kingdom of God, unlike the paradise that most mortals would associate it with, everywhere was plagued with disasters such as earthquakes and lightning as If to represent the mood of its owner.
"Dammit Latet, how dare chase me away!"
With a loud shout, the kingdom of God seemed to collapse, suddenly the millions of races in it started to pray hoping to calm down their Gods' anger.
At the centre of the Kingdom of God stood a large golden throne, on it sat a huge figure whose height seemed to know no bounds.
with a brown large beard and a scar on his right eye wearing celestial bronze armour with two giant axes floating beside him sat Ares the God of war and Goblins.
At this time, the famous God of war who had been active for millions of years had a look of fear and anger on his face.
"How could he become an upper God already!"
Thinking of the millions of years it took him to become a Midian God, he felt frustrated all of a sudden
*however now's not the time to think of this*
looking down at his feet, about two dozen goblins both red and green knelt there in front of his mighty figure.
Taking some time to adjust his mood, he focused on the two goblins closest to him
"Slohet! Moses! do you know you've let me down!"
As he said this, all the goblins present felt an unprecedented pressure fall upon them.
