Chapter 17 The Match Of Genesis (III)
....
At this time, somewhere deep within Zuma forest, an unexpected conversation is taking place.
In a large cave-like building, two orcs of red and green respectively could be seen kneeling before a huge statue whose face could not be seen.
However, what made this scene shocking was that the ever-proud orc race could be seen kneeling with a pious and humble face.
"Milord, your servants kiriak and izak have something to report"
with a slightly nervous tone, the red orc kiriak began to speak, not daring to raise his head above his shoulders.
*Boom!*
with those words, the statue started to glow, as if a stalwart presence had descended onto the statue.
*Boom!*
*Boom!*
*Boom!*
As time passed, along with the ever-increasing glow, the whole cave started to vibrate as if It couldn't bear the figures' pressure.
*Boom!*
Thankfully, after a few more rumbles the whole cave stabilised returning to its previous condition, it seemed that everything that just happened was a dream however the heavy pressure in the air and the light glow on the statue proved otherwise.
While all this was happening, a look of excitement appeared on Kiriak and izaks faces as they were obviously anticipating this situation.
"Welcome the coming of Milord!"
After waiting for a few minutes and making sure there would be no other changes, with a look of excitement and reverence they both shouted at the top of their lungs.
"Speak!"
hearing the reply, the earlier excitement was still there however, a hint of nervousness was mixed with him, obviously, it seems the news to be reported wasn't all good news.
*Ahem*
Clearing up his throat, Izak took the lead in explaining the current situation.
"Milord, I'm not sure if this is because of what happened a few days ago but most of the beasts in the Zuma forest have been anxious lately"
"Due to this, we have not been able to get enough beasts for your sacrifice"
After speaking, he closed his eyes tightly, apparently waiting for divine judgement to befall him. However, the awaited smiting didn't take place
*hmph!*
"I'll deal with you for that later now tell me, how is the mission I sent Slohet on? has he captured that human"
unexpectedly, with that question their already sweating foreheads at this moment seemed to be turned into fountains as a sense of fear and nervousness filled them
*bang!*
"I'm sorry milord!"
banging their heads on the floor, the both of them further lowered their posture.
"I'm sorry milord we haven't been able to do so, but don't worry according to our sources right now Slohet is fighting with the human right now, although a bit tricky, it seems Slohet is about to win."
just as he finished speaking, with a low voice kriaks voice came from behind.
"Too bad he'll probably be killed tho"
unexpectedly just as he said that an unprecedented pressure fell on both of them. causing their bones to slightly creak
"What!"
Think about what happened in the meeting of Gods earlier, the glow on the statue flickered as if to show its tension.
"recall him and all his men back now! tell him to get back as fast as possible"
"You know what, forget it I'll do it myself"
leaving two stunned orcs, the statue slowly dimmed giving off the illusion that he was never there.
"...."
"..."
looking at each other, a look of despair showed on their faces.
"Izak! We've disappointed milord!"
not giving izak a chance to react kiriak immediately spoke and gave off the aura of a superior.
"Who are you looking down on red skin!"
Izak immediately retorted, apparently not having any of it.
"What did you say green brain"
"at least I have a brain you red idiot"
"That's it I've had it, let's fight!"
"Sure I accept! I hope you don't regret it later!"
"Arghhhh!"
Arghhhh!"
And so the two of them left getting ready to brawl it out.
Unknown to them just a few minutes after they left, accompanied by a gust of wind a slight voice came from the cave's exit.
"human? transversal? new world? interesting!.... God of Light, what exactly do you plan to do"
After saying this, the voice like the wind at that moment seemed to completely disappear leaving only a slowly falling leaf.
....
Meanwhile, on Elric's side, his match with Slohet was as hot as ever.
"Serious punch!!!"
With a loud shout, Slohets 'serious punch' headed towards him at extremely fast speeds.
At this point, there was only one thought in Elric's head 'I guess this is the end'.
However, thinking of the boundless knowledge ahead of him, places to discover, and secrets to unfold, a sense of unwillingness filled him.
"A.I. chip! do something!"
[report to host, deducing all possible outcomes]
[chances of survival 20%, chances of death 80%, chances of serious injury 100%]
seeing the results given by the A.I. chip, with a look of despair, he closed his eyes ready to give up all hope.
however, just as the punch was about to land, a loud sound resounded throughout the sky leaving everyone stunned, even Slohet in noted couldn't help but pause as he sensed a familiar presence
*Boom!*
with a loud boom, the whole sky shone a golden light
"~hssss"
"This can't be"
"Oh my!"
All of a sudden, with the appearance of light, the crowd started to react wildly, the red orcs knelt in reverence, the green orcs shivered in fear, and the town's residents had mixed reactions, some shocked while others had an unexpectedly disdainful face.
"What on Elias is going on?"
It was George who was sitting beside Davis who couldn't help but ask out loud, thankfully a helpful town folk helped him out.
"Oh? I see your new around here, so you might not have seen this before"
"There is a pretty normal thing here, 'Golden light for a thousand miles it's a sign whenever a God wants to act upon the mortal world, however feeling the aura from the light above it's definitely not one of our three patron Gods, so don't worry he can't try anything in freedom town"
"After all, we have three Gods"
with a smug look in his eyes, not putting the newly appearing God in his eyes.
As if to prove him right, the Golden light converged into a huge hand, not giving anyone a chance, the huge arm headed all the way to Elric who at this moment was still stunned by the sudden change on the stage.
"what! Elric!"
"Young master!"
Ignoring the words from earlier of not to worry, the loud shouts of Davis and George sounded as they were ready to rush directly to the centre of the arena to rescue him
However, just as it was about to reach Elric a sharp light shot out from the three God statues in town immediately dissipating the giant hand.
*Boom!*
Followed with its dissipation, a large shout resounded throughout the sky
"Furtificus! Syno̱mosía! Latet! how dare you!!"
just as he was about to strike again a cold snort sounded with it a vague figure standing above the town
*Humph!*
"Ares who do you think you are! now take your men and get out of here before I wipe them out"
feeling the pressure from the figure above, a voice of shock sounded from Ares.
*what! upper God? latet when did you become an upper God!"
However, his questions weren't answered. All he was met with were cold eyes from latet.
After a bit of silence, with a slight flicker all orcs, both green and red disappeared.
seeing this scene, the crowd immediately burst into cheers
"Thank you Lord Latet! for your protection"
"Thank you Lord Syno̱mosía!"
"Thank you Lord Furtificus!"
looking at the figures chanting below, the figure of latet glanced at Elric smiled then quickly disappeared.
"oh my, did lord latet just smile at me?"
"No you idiot, it was me!"
"no me!"
"no me!"
Just when everyone was stunned, the host Bobo once again spoke, bringing everyone's attention back.
"There you have it folks, although we didn't get a winner from the earlier fight, we got to see the presence of the three lord's!"
"With that said, I your ever so handsome host Bobo wishes you a due, This warrior's battle is officially over!"
With the words of Bobo, the crowd immediately left their sets still brimming with excitement due to everything that happened.
Unfortunately, not everyone was excited. At this point Elric, Davis,George and Aoma had already met up at the entrance of the arena, waiting for Reinhardt to arrive.
After a few minutes of gloomy silence, George spoke up trying to lighten the mood
"So Elric, what are we going to do now?"
As he spoke, his body shook, obviously not as calm as he was pretending to be.
"Firstly we have to find a place to stay, after that, I'll let you know the next plan"
looking at his friend's shaky hands and thinking of the earlier events, a look of gloom settled on his face. Obviously the day's events left a serious impact on him.
Meanwhile, while the two of them were speaking, a sneaky Amos just happened to hear what they were saying.
Not giving the both of them a chance to react, she ran to Reinhardt and told him about their current situation
"Dad, can we help them out, they don't have anywhere to stay"
"pleaseee"
Hearing the words of his daughter, a tired look appeared on his face; however, looking at her watery eyes, Reinhardt's heart couldn't help but melt.
"Fine, since my daughter says so, there is one place you can stay"
After thinking about it for a few minutes, with a look of struggle he spoke up albeit unwillingly.
"Sebastian take them to my older home on the other side of town"
Hearing the home that Elric and the rest would be given, a look of shock showed on both Sebastian and Aoma's faces. Especially Aoma as what she actually wanted was for them to live together so she could have someone to play with everyday
"M-milord are you sure"
with a slight gulp, Sebastian couldn't help but ask again, as he knew the importance of that building.
"No buts, I've already made up my mind"
Saying that he turned and left, leaving the rest of the crowd stunned and confused.
"um.. Sebastian, don't mean to be rude but is where we'll be staying special or anything?"
looking at their reactions with a curious look George couldn't help but ask, however what he got, was a somewhat gloomy answer from him.
"Yes it is special, this was the masters wife's home before"
