I Can Copy Everything Without Limit

Chapter 12

C12 – Cultivation(1)

After Wei Lulin entered the territory of the Grade Nine Magical Beast, he glanced back and saw that Yao Yafeng and his group were indeed pursuing Baosan. This put his mind at ease.

In fact, Wei Lulin was taking a gamble. He was betting on Yao Yafeng’s pride to underestimate him and on their fear of encountering danger within the Grade Nine Magical Beast’s domain.

It looked like Wei Lulin’s bold gamble had paid off!

Since Yao Yafeng and his companions didn’t pursue Wei Lulin, his life was halfway to being secure. Whether he could survive the rest of the journey would now hinge on his luck.

Perhaps fortune favored Wei Lulin, or maybe his luck was just that good. During the subsequent part of his journey, Wei Lulin encountered only one extremely powerful Magical Beast, the Heaven Trampling Elephant.

Luckily, the Heaven Trampling Elephant was of a gentle nature and not prone to attack. Wei Lulin, being an ordinary person, posed no threat, so after a brief glance, the Heaven Trampling Elephant turned and walked away.

However, that mere look from the Heaven Trampling Elephant nearly cost Wei Lulin his life.

Firstly, it terrified him.

Secondly, the powerful aura the Heaven Trampling Elephant exuded had an overwhelming effect on him.

Traveling with the skilled Wei Ying and Baosan, Wei Lulin hadn’t noticed the length of the journey. But when it came down to relying on his own two feet, the distance seemed immense.

It took Wei Lulin almost an entire night to finally reach the cave where the Sun Opening Fruit could be harvested.

When Baosan had proposed they each flee for their lives, Wei Lulin had already considered a fallback plan—the cave. Inside, one could pick the Sun Opening Fruit.

Firstly, the location was incredibly secluded, making it difficult to find without specific directions.

Secondly, with the corpses of the High Rank Grade Nine Red-eye Blood Wolf and the four Body Refining Stage Experts from the Jiaang family inside, the nearby Magical Beasts dared not enter, making it the safest place for the moment.

The entrance to the cave was small, and to ensure added safety and concealment, Wei Lulin gathered some weeds to camouflage it before stepping inside.

Wei Lulin had been away from the cave for only half a day, and upon his return, he noticed no significant changes within. The only difference was a slightly stronger scent of blood, which didn’t bother him in the slightest. He had endured far worse odors in the house he rented before his transmigration, so a bit of blood was nothing.

Wei Lulin found a relatively clean area in the cave that had been spared from the ravages of battle. He sat down cross-legged and laid out his day’s loot before him: a silver note worth five hundred gold coins, seventeen high-quality Spirit Locking Stones, a nearly two-thirds intact Grade Ten Low Rank Spirit Stone, twelve leaves from the Sun Opening Fruit, dozens of aromatic fruits, and several potent medicinal herbs he had gathered before returning to the cave.

For Wei Lulin, killing and looting were quick paths to wealth. A single Low Grade Spirit Stone of Grade Ten was sufficient to replicate Meridian Grass, essential for repairing meridians. Yet, Wei Lulin refrained from using the Grade Ten Low Grade Spirit Stone and the seventeen Spirit Locking Stones. Instead, he approached the carcass of the Red-eye Blood Wolf.

Baosan had removed the beast’s inner core, leaving the remainder of the body discarded on the ground. It wasn’t that Baosan had no interest in the carcass; the body of a High Rank Grade Nine Magical Beast was a treasure, its fur alone valuable for crafting protective leather armor. However, Baosan hadn’t anticipated hunting Magical Beasts and lacked the necessary equipment to store them, resulting in the abandonment.

This oversight proved fortunate for Wei Lulin. Otherwise, where would he find the energy-rich corpse of a Magical Beast? Wei Lulin placed his left hand on the Red-eye Blood Wolf’s wound and quietly initiated the copy and paste process in his mind.

As the process began, the once robust body of the Red-eye Blood Wolf started to shrivel, and before Wei Lulin, Meridian Grass sprouted up one after another, like mushrooms after rain.

When the count of Meridian Grass reached six hundred, Wei Lulin proactively halted the duplication and pasting process. Based on his initial estimates, approximately five hundred Meridian Grass would be needed to mend his damaged meridians. Prior to venturing into the Endless Forest, Wei Lulin had ingested nearly one hundred and eighty Meridian Grass, restoring about a third of his meridians. He surmised that the remaining meridians would require roughly four hundred more.

Wei Lulin had produced an extra two hundred Meridian Grass as a precaution, fearing that four hundred might not suffice. Moreover, as he continued his cultivation, the Meridian Grass could also serve to fortify his meridians and enhance his strength.

In terms of Spirit Locking Stones, six hundred Meridian Grass would equate to over a hundred stones. Yet, this amount had consumed less than ten percent of the Red-eye Blood Wolf carcass. Having replicated the Meridian Grass, Wei Lulin knew he should promptly use it to repair his meridians, aiming to advance into the Qi Refining Stage at the earliest opportunity.

But as Wei Lulin gazed upon the remaining Red-eye Blood Wolf carcass, he couldn’t help feeling reluctant to squander such abundant energy, knowing it would cause him great distress. Recalling the Sun Opening Fruit Tree leaves, he quickly grabbed one, clutching it in one hand while placing the other on the carcass of the Red-eye Blood Wolf.

Wei Lulin had initially believed that the tree’s leaves retained only a sliver of the Sun Opening Fruit’s energy, thinking that the remaining ninety percent of the Red-eye Blood Wolf carcass could potentially yield thousands, if not tens of thousands, of leaves. However, once he began the actual duplication process, he discovered the reality was far from his expectations.

After duplicating a mere three hundred leaves, the entire Red-eye Blood Wolf carcass vanished without a trace, defying Wei Lulin’s predictions. Holding the leaves in his hand and staring at the spot where the carcass had been, Wei Lulin was struck by a sense of loss. The leaves of the Sun Opening Fruit Tree were far too energy-intensive!

In the cave, alongside the corpse of the Red-eye Blood Wolf, lay five bodies from the Jiaang family. The remains of four Body Refining Stage Experts also harbored a significant amount of energy.

However, Wei Lulin, a modern individual who had found himself in this new world, was not yet prepared to handle human remains. Consequently, he had no choice but to leave them be for the time being.

Wei Lulin retreated to a cleaner area and ate several fruits to stave off his hunger. Once his emotions had settled, he dedicated himself to the task of healing his meridians.
