Chapter 90 Grave News

"Sir Khalon? Who is this person you speak of?" The Chief Superintendent asked.

Fabian glared at Zenny for speaking arbitrarily, but now that the Chief Superintendent was asking, he could only answer. "General, everyone knows that we captured Diego, but this was only possible because of the support of one man."

The Chief Superintendent raised his eyebrows in surprise. "You speak so highly of this person. Is he that amazing?"

Fabian chuckled and shook his head. "Not just amazing... I dare say that even without us, he could capture Diego all by himself!"

"What?! There's actually such a person in our ranks?" The Chief Superintendent was stunned by his words.

Hearing this, Fabian sighed and muttered in a regretful tone. "If only he is a police officer, things would have been easier for us. Unfortunately, that person is a mercenary. It is not so easy to hire his services."

The Chief Superintendent also sighed upon hearing this. "That's too bad... If we had someone like that in our ranks, we don't even need to negotiate with criminals like Diego."

"Sir Khalon is the strongest soldier I've seen. Even a top-grade criminal like Diego is nothing in his eyes." Fabian had Arlan's contact information, but he didn't want the higher-ups to know about his connection with him. Besides, they didn't have much time to wait for Khalon. At this moment, he could only rely on himself.

"General, I have to go there. I'll try to communicate with Diego. Hopefully, he will listen to me." Fabian muttered to the Chief Superintendent.

The Chief Superintendent wanted to say something, but in the end, he could only nod his head.

Fabian then turned his gaze to Zenny and said. "Zenny, if something happens to me, please apologize to Mr. Roa on my behalf. I also hope that you can look after my family."

Zenny held back her tears from falling as she stared at Fabian. "I will take care of your family, Sir Fabian. You can rest assured."

Fabian smiled upon hearing her words. He was an ambitious man, but he was also a righteous police officer. 'I'm sorry, Mr. Roa. It looks like I can no longer repay you...' He thought to himself as he walked towards the hotel with a look of determination.

Two days later, the super yacht 'Serene' was now on its way back to the pier after a three-day vacation on an inhabited island.

There was no signal on the island, but Arlan still managed to claim his daily rewards from the mysterious app. During the three-day vacation, he received three rewards from the app. The first one was 100 million dollars and the second one was Cargonite Exoskeleton Blueprint.

The Cargonite Exoskeleton was an advanced full-body armor that could increase a soldier's survivability. Aside from enhancing one's physical abilities, this exoskeleton armor could also protect its wearer from rifle rounds and even from sniper rifle bullets. It could also protect its wearer from an explosion, but this would depend on the type of bomb. If it was just a normal grenade or dynamite, the Cargonite Exoskeleton could reduce the damage received by its wearer. However, if it was a strong bomb, the chances of survival decreases.

The third reward that Arlan claimed was an Extinction-Class Battleship, the Poseidon 001!

This battleship can hold ten battle aircraft and it also has an array of advanced armaments that has never been seen in the world. I think you should take a look at

'Why am I getting all these weapons of destruction as rewards? I'm becoming more and more worried about the future. It feels like the mysterious app is preparing me for something terrible...' Arlan thought to himself as he stood on the bow of the yacht.

Suddenly, Arlan's phone vibrated and numerous missed calls popped up on the notification list. Most of the calls came from Karl's number. There was also a call from Krizia and his friends.

Among the missed calls, he noticed thatt

Fabian called him twice and the gap between the two calls was only a few seconds. This made him frown deeply.

Arlan called Fabian's number and waited for him to answer the call.

"Hello, is this Mr. Roa?" The voice on the other end wasn't from Fabian, but a woman.

"Yes, this is Arlan Dominic Roa. Where is Uncle Fabian?" Arlan felt that something was wrong and a sense of foreboding came to him.

"...Sir Fabian... he is... now in the hospital, but the doctors said that he doesn't have much time to live..." The woman on the phone sobbed after saying those words.

"W-What?! Where is he?!" Arlan's eyes flashed with coldness upon hearing this.

"H-He is... He is here at VRP Medical Center. If you want to see him, you should make haste. You might not be able to see him again..."

"Alright. I'll be there as soon as possible." Arlan disconnected the call with a dark look on his face. He then called Karl's number to know what was going on.

"Karl, do you know what happened to Fabian?"

"Boss, I also heard about what happened to him. According to our investigation, this matter is related to Diego... He..." Karl told him everything that happened during his absence.

When Karl finished his report, Arlan took a deep breath and clenched his hands tightly. "That guy! Why did he have to offer himself to Diego? He knows that Diego wants to take his life, but he still went along with his demands!"

Arlan sighed and shook his head. This was also his fault. He didn't place someone to monitor Fabian's movement. They could have prevented this accident if he had been careful, but it was already too late.

"Make sure that no one disturbs Fabian. I will be there soon." Arlan disconnected the call. He then informed his parents that there was an emergency. After, a quick explanation, he drop the four speed boats on the yacht and brought Khalon and fifteen soldiers with him. He left the remaining fifteen to escort everyone back to the pier.

'Fabian, don't die on me!' Arlan roared in his heart.
