Chapter 30 Message From Charles, Police Officers Outside Jackson’s Home
Arlan went back to the mansion and when he arrived, Fredrinn was no longer there. Sofia greeted him as soon as he walked inside the living room.
"Hello, Arlan! Have you had lunch?" She asked as she smiled at him.
Arlan nodded his head. "I already had lunch. I'm sorry I didn't inform you guys." He muttered apologetically.
"It's fine. Did you meet with someone earlier?" Sofia asked with a curious look on her face.
Arlan took a seat and nodded. "I met with a colleague and we talked about work-related matters. By the way, I just remembered that I actually have a unit in City Park Hotel. I'll call the police later so that they can escort you guys there. The owner of the building is a friend of mine. I will inform him that you guys will be temporarily staying in my unit."
"You know Mr. Montefalco?" Sofia's eyes widened in shock when she heard his words.
Arlan smiled when he saw her reaction. "I also know his son, Terrence. Anyway, I'll go and call them now. You should tell your mom and your brother about this." He stood up and grabbed the phone in his pocket. He also grabbed the shopping bags he placed on the floor.
"I'll tell them later. Let me help you with that first." Sofia quickly grabbed some of the shopping bags from his hands.
"There's no need. I can carry all of these. Fine…" Arlan relented when he saw the look on her face. He then went upstairs, while Sofia followed behind him.
When Sofia saw his walk-in closet, she was dumbfounded. There were all sorts of expensive clothes inside and there was even precious jewelry placed in glass boxes.
"Just place them here. I'll remove the tags later." Arlan muttered without looking at her. His eyes were focused on his phone as he sent his home address to Hayashi Kenji.
"Oh! Okay." Sofia put down the shopping bags and stared at Arlan in silence. When she saw that was busy with his phone, she tactfully waited for him.
After sending his home address to Hayashi Kenji, Arlan kept his phone and raised his head. "Why are you still here?"
Sofia hesitated for a moment, but her eyes lit up with determination. "Arlan, I want to work for you!" She clenched her fists as she uttered those words. When she learned about Arlan's identity, she realized how small she was compared to him. She didn't even know why he decided to accept her invitation to dinner last time. Was it his way of repaying her for giving him the invitation card for Mr. Sanchez' birthday?
"Huh?" Arlan looked at her in surprise. "You want to work for me? What about your job in Mr. Montefalco's building?"
Sofia shook her head. "I will resign from that job. I can give you my resume if you want. Hehe." She flashed a beautiful smile at him.
After a moment of thinking, Arlan replied. "Alright, but you have to properly go through the resignation process." Sofia was a capable employee and if trained well, she could be the head maid of the mansion.
Sofia's eyes lit up after getting his approval. "Great! Thank you so much, Arlan! I don't mind working for you as a maid."
Arlan shook his head and said. "That won't do. If you're done with the resignation process, you can start working for me as the head maid. As for your salary and benefits, we'll talk about that next time."
"Okay. I'll go and tell them about moving out to City Park Hotel." Sofia joyfully left the room.
Seeing her leave, Arlan smiled and shook his head.
Beep! Beep!
"Hm?" Arlan grabbed his phone and unlocked it. He noticed that Charles sent him a message. He opened the message and read it.
Arlan, we have already gathered enough evidence to convict that bastard, Jackson. The police are now on their way to capture him. If nothing goes wrong, he should be in jail by evening. I'll give you an update later.
After reading the message, Arlan smirked coldly. "Serves him right! I'll visit that guy later after he is captured by the police. I want to see that ugly mug of his behind bars!" Jackson made him suffer a lot when he was still working at Bakal Brothers Co. as a construction worker.
Arlan replied to Charles' message before opening his Instagram. There were dozens of notifications and all of them were from his latest post. He clicked on his profile and check the comments on his photo.
Wow! Arlan, are you working for a big shot now?
What a beautiful place! Where is that, Arlan?
Arlan, you look so handsome now!
There were all sorts of comments from his friends and classmates. All of them were curious about the mansion and they all thought that he was working for a big shot. After all, they knew about his family's situation. Other than some curious comments, he was relieved to see that there were no hate comments.
He didn't reply to the comments since some of them were his neighbors in the province. After scrolling through his feed, he closed the app and turned off his phone.

Charles and Terrence had already filed a report to the police against Jackson. At this moment, the police were tracking the guy's whereabouts.
Weewooweoooooohh!
Jackson frowned when he heard the loud sirens outside his house. It was his rest day and he was now resting on the second floor with his mistress. "What's happening? Why is it so loud today?" He gently pushed the blonde-haired woman who was sitting on his lap. He then stood up and went to the balcony to check the situation.
"Honey, what's happening out there?" The blonde-haired woman coquettishly asked.
Just as Jackson was about to reply, he noticed a group of police officers stepping out of the vehicles. One of them was holding a megaphone. "Jackson, we need you to step out of your property!" The police officer who was holding the megaphone shouted.
Jackson's expression fell when he heard this. "Police officers, what's going on?! I didn't break the law!" He shouted with an agitated look.
