Chapter 95 - Same Face As Selena
"Selena."
The mysterious man looked at Ellena and didn't make any sound; he attacked her in an instance. Ellena widened her eyes and dodged the punch that flew. It was fast, but not enough to touch Ellena.
"Who are you?" Ellena asked as she could not understand why this person had the same face as Selena.
"Why do we need to talk? I just have to kill you. " he retorted with his grin.
The mysterious man attacked again but now, it was an image of a fist covering his hands with azure blue light.
Without any warning, the fight began. Ellena didn't respond to the attacks and just didn't let them connect. As for the reason, she wants to ask the guy what his purpose is and who he is.
'Why does he have the same face as Selena?' Ellena ponders while agilely dodging every attack.
With her dodging every attack, the mysterious guy becomes increasingly irritated. He hissed and sneered.
"Do you only know how to dodge? You're too coward to be called a monster."
However, it didn't reach Ellena. Instead, she threw him a question.
"Did you kill them?" she pointed to the dead bodies covered with leaves.
The mysterious man made a creepy smile. "Yes, I did. What can you do about it?!" he laughed while keeping his attacks nonstop sent to Ellena.
Ellena could see the rune type of the guy in front of her. The guy has a close-combat ability, but his proficiency is just 40% of it. Thus, it gave her an advantage.
Ellena was also in question, confused and curious about what happened in the area. Not just the trees were bald, but the whole place was the aftermath of a battle.
"You... Who are you really?! Why did you kill them?!" Ellena exclaimed and sent a kick in between his attacks. It made him fly for a few meters, but he landed perfectly as if nothing had happened.
He smiled, looked at Ellena with delighted eyes. "It's because they aren't you. You are my target, so they are useless. That's why I killed them." And then he laughed again, making Ellena feel furious inside and clenching her fist.
This wasn't exactly what she was expecting. The reason was that she thought it had to be reasoned. However, this happened because of her? It messed her mind.
Aaron, on the other hand, was feeling the aura around the guy. He was also aware that Ellena was feeling guilt inside, as she was obviously silent for a second.
However, for Aaron, it wasn't Ellena's fault, nor it will be. This guy was a natural maniac. Inside him was a living catalyst of chaos and a psychopath. There's no reason for this guy, nor for him to conclude a reason.
"Ellena, it wasn't your fault. This guy is a maniac. Don't be bothered by his words." Aaron said, pitying Ellena from a distance. He did not feel bothered with her fighting him, as this guy couldn't even rival Ellena in talent.
'I see... But I hate it that he used me as his reason...' she responded, keeping her composure at hand.
The guy attacked once again, but this time, it was an image of a fist, flying towards her. It was a replica of Weapon Aura but made with a bare fist, not a weapon.
"How can he do it?..." Aaron was puzzled. He thought that earlier, the light that covered his fist was just the only way to use his ability.
"This... You are amazing, The Masked Monster!" The guy said in a forced, hoarse voice.
"I don't need your praise. I want to know who you are and why did you do this?"
It has also been bothering Ellena for a while. This guy has the same facial features as Selena. It made her think for a short time that she was fighting with Selena.
Nonetheless, she just shrugged it off.
"Is that so? Then let's fight! You are amazing! Since the only one who can dodge my attacks is countable on one hand."
The guy dashed once again, making a messed up face from intently smiling. His fist was above him and covered with a huge image of a fist.
Ellena prepared her sword and covered it with a small amount of electricity.
"You are annoying. Just answer my questions! Who are you?!" Ellena roared, her sword ready to exchange an attack with the guy.
"You deserve to know my name." The guy wildly grinned.
Clang!
Their attacks collided, reverberated, and echoed through the leafless forest.
"I am Uno! Nice to meet you, The Masked Monster! Or should I say, Noelle?"
Clang!
The fist aura that Uno made was solid and powerful enough to rival the sword's power. That inconvenience made Ellena hiss as she moved backward to disconnect from him.
'It's good. He doesn't know Ellena's real name. Then, it's safe to just let him answer some of Ellena's questions before killing him.' Aaron thought while preparing himself just in case Ellena needed a blessing.
"It's not nice meeting you."
Clang!
This time, Ellena made the first move and swung her sword at Uno's right shoulder. Uno immediately defended himself and held onto the sword before responding.
"Oy... Why so bitter?! Was it the reason why the Supreme wanted you dead?" he said, confusing Ellena and Aaron.
Supreme? Was it the name of their boss? However, that information wasn't important. Even if they call him by name, it won't be useful since anyone can fake their names.
"Tsk. What are you talking about?"
"The Supreme sent me here. Well, it's because I am strong but I often forget about it. He sent me here to kill you." Uno said with his other fist, ready to attack Ellena.
"Then why does he need me dead?" Ellena kicked the fist and flipped backward in the air. She landed perfectly, with her sword in a ready position.
Uno shrugged. "I don't know... But I need to kill you anyways. That's all-important to me."
Uno attacked once again, excluding several flying azure fist auras. Ellena defended herself with her sword, slashing and dodging everything.
Throughout the whole situation, Ellena decided to finish the aimless fight. Therefore, it would be useless to capture him since this type of person is not one to be trusted.
Releasing threads of lightning, Ellena covered the area with it and released it in Uno's direction. While Uno was intently staring at the lightning flying towards him. It was about to touch him, but before it could, another figure appeared.
It was another human figure, blocking the attack with a somewhat special shield.
"Uno, we're escaping. They finally finished fighting with the hijacker. Let's leave before it gets all wrong." The guy who appeared said in a calm tone.
But that didn't go well for Uno. His eyebrows were raised and he exclaimed. "Huh?! What are you talking about? We just need to kill this girl; we don't have to escape."
"That's useless." Then, they disappeared as the guy took out something from his pocket, cracked it, and made a cylinder light eating them.
That scene left Ellena and Aaron clueless about what had just happened as it was too fast enough for them to not unleash another attack to interfere with them.
And another second, a loud voice resounded. "Hey! There is The Masked Monster! She's safe!"
