I Became A System

Chapter 93 - Killing

A few hours later, another group arrived, but they were made up of four people. Their arrival was as if they came to challenge a test. And they seemingly had confidence.

Despite the fact that Ellena had just rested for 2 hours, she still had the energy to deal with them.

I don't know for sure what their abilities are, but at least, and for sure, Ellena knows how to handle them. As I had trust in her, unlike in the cave fighting with the old bastard demon, this time her fate was in her hands.

All of the challengers were swordsmen. They surely won't' stand a chance against Ellena because they are an unbalanced group.

"Hey... What are their abilities?" I asked her while she was resting her head.

"They're all CC rune owners. And their proficiency was not at the best. At least 25%. " she said.

The four of them just wear similar wardrobes. Are they also a party? What's the chance of having the same situation? But unlike earlier, they have a mage rune owner. This time, there are none.

Their armor also seems special. Even though I don't have to underestimate it, it's obvious that there is nothing special in it. The design is just average and the materials used are also easy to find.

So it's at least easy? Hm... There is no need to watch. I bet Ellena would just use lightning in this situation—!

Zap! Zap! Zap!

I haven't even finished my thoughts, Ellena has already unleashed a simultaneous number of lightning strikes, almost taking 40% of her remaining stamina. It wasn't that strong to burn, but it was enough to shock their hearts to death.

They were all left unaware and unprotected. Without noticing it, they lost their breath and disappeared in an instance.

So... That was it? It's the 3rd sun and the official 2nd day. If I'm right... Participants must have decreased. Since then, I have also noticed more lurking B-rank monsters.

There are at least Wild Ranging Chimeras in the forest. At least, Ellena was fortunate enough to not stumble on one of them.

"That makes 7... How long do I have to kill them? Are they really getting respawned outside the forest before actually dying? If they get kicked out, are they fine?" Ellena asked nonstop.

This kid... She's still bothered by it? I thought it would be easy for her. Even with the fact that they wanted to attack her, she still felt pity for them.

Her perspectives don't match with the logic. At least that's what I think. But it's not bad... I also think... She set her own morals. And I think it's not bad...

Ugh... What a hassle...

"I already used my spare stamina. If I fight after this, I think I can just use one or two abilities." Ellena remarked as she sat down on a stone.

"Hmmm... If that's the case... You don't need to be wary of everything. Just finish them immediately. That's the importance of power, to finish a fight immediately." I said, looking at her with no particular emotion.

"That's... an obvious matter that I didn't realize. Thank you, Aaron! I finally have another plan to conserve energy."

I just awkwardly smiled. It wasn't really that great. However, this is Ellena, so I understand.

"Good for you."

After a few hours, another group arrived. They were five, but Ellena just mentioned four since she wanted to make them complacent. And to support it, she intentionally hit one to make them think that she could just use one at a time, and they bit it.

Hm... This group is the most balanced among the others. Do they have swordsmen, a scout, a navigator, a leader, and a ranger? They're pretty balanced. But even though Ellena can't discover their abilities, she can still end them immediately.

If there's no ability that can defy the speed of light, it would be okay. However, since there's no one in the present, and since we haven't run into the average and rare abilities, we can not be complacent outside the forest.

However, I'm worried that there is a ranger at the top of another slope. He was hiding in an abundant grassy area at knee height.

"Ellena, just finish this already. You know that they can't defeat you, right?" I said to her in an uninterested tone.

"I guess you're right. This is getting dragged."

Zap! Zap! Zap!

All three were killed by lightning. And as for the sniper, he was left baffled.

Of the rest, I think he was the most composed, but the outcome was comprehensible from his side. That's at least I noticed.

"That's the rest. Only that guy remains." Ellena mumbled before hitting the guy with the lightning, fueled by her last energy.

And at last, her spare stamina was drained as she conjured it and sent it afar. That must still use plenty of stamina in reality. But since Ellena lowered the stamina usage and energy, she remained perfectly in control.

"Aren't you going to rest?" I asked when she leaned on a tree without closing her eyes.

"Can I?" she looked at me with a question.

What a silly question.

"Of course! I can remain awake even for eternity." I jokingly said.

"Shut up. But... you didn't get enough rest since last night? It makes me feel guilty."

"Really... Don't mind it. My body is built for this, so just take a rest. I will guard you for the moment." I said with assurance in my eyes.

She just sighed and didn't even bother to argue with me. She just shot a dagger with her eyes, glaring at me.

"But after this, you'll take a rest. I can't abuse your ability to have unlimited energy," she said.

"Okay... If you insist. Now take a rest."

"Yes..." she uttered before closing her eyes to sleep.

Sighs... This feels like I'm babysitting...

Eh? Why did I just realize it until now?! I'm babysitting her even at what angle I see it. Hahaha....
